Nice to see the original colours of the teak decking and her paintwork are also meticulously maintained in her present form. It gives her that timeless charm.

I agree, I didn't like this boat but because Nick enjoyed it so much, I did too.
The beauty of planked wood laid down upon laminated ribs.All made stronger through the function of interlocking joinery. The precision of clockworks provide function while assuring each piece and segment is held firm in its place. The space below decks is a nod to an era long passed, yet brought to life once more by the hands and tools of loving labour. The boat is awe inspiring even sitting proud upon her stand, teased at the water's edge. Daniel, er, I mean Nick (so easily mistaken) this is a true work of art. Thank you for the tour.
That boat, much like Nick himself, is beautiful inside and out. Full of class.

I think I saw this boat on the Spirit pontoon at SBS a few years ago.....it is heart achingly beautiful, and I hope it gains an owner who will love and cherish it.
That amount of varnish needs deep pockets or infinite patience!

Don't care about bond, but the boat is so beautiful and the tour was a great enjoyment. You obviously loved what you were doing and had real fun and that carried back to us i think. Spirit make the most beautiful sailing yachts, but they are real sailor's yachts.
Beautiful woodwork - you can see the build quality in this. Not a boat I’d necessarily want to own, but certainly one to appreciate! Nice video, 008!

There are not many boats even mega yachts that can put a shiver down your spine, but that one does! absolutely jaw dropping looks and a bond boat too, amazing!😮
To be honest the Oyster 675 with a carbon rig next to the Spirit, is a better boat and even "cheaper", but pretty beats everything in the end.

Spectacular indeed ... one of these caught my eye whilst walking around Ipswich marina a few weeks ago so much so that I took a picture which I now use as a backdrop to my retirement countdown clock . Keep the vids coming Nick they are an inspiration

I can see why it was chosen for a bond film. It has everything you would have in your dreams within your ultimate sailing boat. I wouldn't want to take it out to sea and get it dirty. It is pure boat art at its very best. It shows in the UK we can still find boat yards that can build such beauty without resorting to a fibreglass hull.

This is what I imagine when I hear "sailing yacht". The interior is perfect would like a bit more space, but still just really nice.
spirit yachts are stunning ,sculptures works of art ,there bigger boats are mind blowing ,a first for aquaholic and its a bond boat to boot ,dont come any better than that
What a classic beauty clearly maintained with a lot of love!
There is currently one in my home port with a rich racing history as well. Sadly completely neglected and in a state of disrepair, it has had several owners over the past few decades without doing anything about its state of disrepair.
recently this ship has been re-sold, with the intention of returning it to its original condition.
Ships like this classic beauty can apparently no longer be built, good to see that they are still cared for with love

I love this yacht. I once photoshopped a picture of my boat in the background of one of the Bond stills with Soufriere in the foreground and told my friends that I would have been in the film but, unfortunately, they decided to edit me out at the last moment. One of them believed me... I never let on.

I normally dislike "modern classic" boats that try hard to recreate the look of classics but pile up modern features like hydraulics and yadayada, but this one hits the spot incredibly well. Looks like a true sailor's boat, despite and on top of the luxury.

Loved this boat from the film! Almost as happy as you watching this! Great tour as usual although sorry to see a lack of mirror wave (unless I missed it?), guess the Bond excitement took over and he doesn’t tend to wave at mirrors!

Well Sir you've echoed everything I was thinking when watching this fabulous clip right down to the geeky bond person I am. Wow what a buzz that must have been and thanks for sharing.
Lastly for me the ignorant one.
I grew up in Cape Town and had an uncle who single handedly built his yacht probably half the size and moored it for decades at the Royal Cape Yacht club in Table Bay. Spent childhood learning to sail on it but that's another story.
I always thought a yacht has sails and a motorboat has an engine please clarify this point and put me out of my misery lol

An example of wood crafted and sculptured to create an incredibly beautiful machine. A lot of other more modern styled boats you show could learn a few lessons from it.
No space wasted, functional and full of class. I think I prefer the style to many of the larger luxury types.
