Hi Jana. How are you? Your summer tops are lovely. You are a very talented lady. I like the sleeveless black top, and I like the tan buttons. I am almost done with one panel of 104 stitches, 21 inches long sapphire blue color for a sleeveless top. I will start with the second panel; and when I am done, I will sew them together leaving the neck open and spaces for the sleeves. I am also knitting a few headbands that I wear, and I give them as gifts. Take Care. 😊
Thank you for all these lovely suggestions. I wear mostly jeans etc. but in fact I am most comfortable in dress and leggings, so I totally need to start taking inspiration from your cropped layering pieces. And they must be completed so quickly too! Whats not to love :)
Loved this episode! A summer top I really like is my Florencia tee from Laine 14. I can also recommend the Trinidad Top by Pauline Fanguin. It's a lovely tank top under which you can actually wear a decent bra. Have a great week!
Kiitos kun olit rehellinen, itse usein ihmettelen että miksi kukaan haluaisi tehdä lyhythihaisen villapuseron!😅 Keep up the great work! Love your chanell!! ❤ Thanks!
I LOOOVE your Mystic Square top. So beautiful and somehow I missed you talking about it. I also really liked that last one, in black. I'd love that pattern with some sleeves. This was a fun podcast. I've seen many podcasters do a recap of summer patterns, so I feel I know many of them. But you shared many that I'd never heard of before. Thx!
😆😆😆 I just bought a pair of new white linen pants, because I lost so much weight, the old ones were falling off! But, I bought a pair of moody teal and a brown pair, too. I think I'm a bit older than your mom. I recentmy bought some Isager Bomulin in a dark coral color to make Ola Lola by Laura Nelkin. She suggests making a baby sweater first to understand the construction & I'm glad I'm doing that (in Laines du Nord Summer Sock 101). I knit the right side starting from the sleeve, then started on the left side and wound up w a much looser gauge. So frogged that and started again consciously knitting slower and tighter 😅 I hope Summer isn't over before I can work on Ola Lola!
Hi Jana, you are a beautiful knitter I love your Hoyhen top.I would love to wear it myself. Also could you please knit me a frog .thank you love Joan from Nottingham UK xx❤
That was wonderful and lots of inspiration there. I rather like Reina de Picas Tee by Valentina Bogdanova but it would probably be improved with some short rows.
Beautiful tops and tees. Look at my holes and the ranunculus (stilll!) is on my list to make. Currently knitting Emma top, a sleeveless bra friendly top, in a vibrant red cotton yarn in half fisherman's rib. I think it's going to be cool. Don't usually wear vibrant colours except for summer when I'm a little more tanned. I also knitting on the strawberry fields top in pure silk from KFO but a did an error in the lace pattern so I need to frog back.
Thank you ,Jana, for this very inspiring episode! My summer tees or tops have to be in linen or cotton ( or silk) - anything with wool is far to warm for me. I had similar issues with C.Hunter pattern: neck and arms to tight. I knitted two „Soldotna“ in fingering weight, both heavily modified. I had knit the „Marettimo“ with wider sleeves, because a lot of people mentioned it on Ravelry and you can see it in the pattern, if you look close.I finished recently a raglan-tee with recycled linen ( own pattern) and have to finish my „Scéal Grá“ ( with 3/4 sleeves) from last year - the yarn is a beautiful blend of linen and silk, but after the engaging yoke I’m on sleeve island 😉… Love all your knits and colours, Jana, stay healthy and take care❣️
Jana, I enjoyed seeing all of your lovely summer tops. My favorites are the Nuuk, love the cream-colored trim around the neck, sleeves, and band. Next is your yellow Look At My Holes cropped top. It's adorable. In the last week I have managed to teach myself stranded colorwork knitting, and I'm now on my second SCW hat.
I enjoyed this lovely parade of summer tops. ❤ I like how you followed up the thought of "thinning the herd" of tops with a request for suggested patterns. 🤭 I totally understand since I know that knitting is an addiction that is hard to kick. 😉☺
Such beautiful knits! Your love lace top that you only wear with a denim jacket because of the deep area scythes, would be cute over a little purchase tee like a little vest. Or a really light weight fine blouse. I’m still working on the Elton cardigan for my Mom. Didn’t get anything done all last week. The headache plague hit. Migraine.
What a nice video! I like these kind of videos a lot. One thing I like most is how clothes have kept their shape u in use. You see if yarn has pilled lot or neckline has grown etc. Also you hear if pattern has issues. So thank you for making this! I’m knitting Kuutar tee now and I’m going to also knit Kuutar top. I did knit cardigan for summer and want sleevles top to go with it. Maybe next summer I have also that in my wardrobe.
Loved the round-up episode. Some designs I’ve not seen before so thank you for sharing. I’m currently knitting the Provence top by @thiscosynest. Very engaging lacework at the top.
Ah yes I had to do that on my Soldotna too, the first one was a weird neck. I’ve knit several and just did what I know works or not anywhere near as many short rows.
Hi Jana. I always enjoy your episodes every week. Your summer tops are beautiful. My favourite summer knit is my Salty air tee. It’s great in hot weather as it’s a loose fit and has lace.
I have just knitted the summer tee from Petit knit. I did’nt knit a summer top before, I am not a sweater knitter. I like shawls and socks and other things. I am Now knitting on a cardigan, I started 10 years ago and I just needed to finish one sleeve, but I was bored by it so it was in hibernation. Lol. I decided I could not start a new knitting before this ons was finished. So very brave , but I have socks to knit in too
So many lovely knits, I think my all Time favorite is the soldotna. Not a fan of the Ranunculus at all. Thank you to have shared your summer knits and commented on them.
Did you say 20 tops were too many? I’ll bet I have more than that and I wear them. 😂😂😂 Right now my favorite is the Tolsta Tee I made with silk, cotton and rayon
Hi Jana. Your summer knits are beautiful. You are very talented. I am knitting a blanket for my granddaughter for her college dorm. The first one got ruined. It is a big job and it is three quarters done. I have 43 inches in length now and I need to get to 70 inches. I have worked on it for three weeks, and I think another week or two to finish it. It is in stripes of dark purple and white. Take Care. 😊
I adore your channel, best way to wind down and you are such a good and inspiring knitter. During the warmer weather I have problem with knitting because I sweat so much in my hands 😢
I have the same issue with Caitlin Hunter patterns. I now start them at the color work and the go back and knit a neckline once I’m done. That way I can get a neck size and shape that I like without the weird pouch from the short rows. I thought it was just me or something I was doing wrong.
Love this video! Not me..knitting on my ranunculus #6 while watching… 🤫 Thanks for giving me some ideas of what to do next! As always, I love seeing your videos pop up on my notifications. :)
Oh I love the shaping on your Scéal Grá. Is it part of the pattern, or did you modify it to flare out a bit? I didn't see any notes on your ravelry page, so wondered if you recall how you did it?
Enjoyed seeing your knits. I’ve never knitted a Caitlin Hunter pattern-interesting to hear your opinion about the writing of them. I will keep in mind about the short rows when I do finally knit something of hers. Also, I think the coral looks nice on you😀
I just bought white linen capris. Love them. I enjoyed seeing your summer tops. It’s always nice to get opinions on the different patterns. I have a linen dress. Now I just need to knit a layering top to wear with it.
I haven´t knitted it but I have considered knitting it and I don´t think the lace is difficult. It`s only a few rows and knitted only on the right side ( because it´s knitted top down in the round. I think Anna-Johanna´s patterns are well written and test knitted.
I see you, you sly one. EMS sitting partially concealed by the drapes, but nonetheless conspicuous. I've hidden 6 in a plastic bin where they can no longer speak to me. I'm done - I think.....
Love the Nuuk Tee! Cute & fun! Have you ever done a podcast from your store? I would love to see it.

All spectacular!
I love love love the Kuutar Top. I think one of those tank tops with the bra built in would be perfect underneath.
So many lovely summer tops.
I giggled when you said nobody needs 20 summer tops. I live in Australia - 20 summer tops seems very reasonable to me!
Thank you for all these lovely suggestions. I wear mostly jeans etc. but in fact I am most comfortable in dress and leggings, so I totally need to start taking inspiration from your cropped layering pieces. And they must be completed so quickly too! Whats not to love :)
Dear Jana, one of my favorite episodes ever, you rock! Thank you for such cool suggestions ❤❤❤
Such gorgeous tops! Yes, you need that many tops..variety is the spice of life!!❤😊
Loved this episode! A summer top I really like is my Florencia tee from Laine 14. I can also recommend the Trinidad Top by Pauline Fanguin. It's a lovely tank top under which you can actually wear a decent bra. Have a great week!
I soooo agree about Caitlyn Hunter sweaters. My Saldonta did the same thing. Ugh.
Kiitos kun olit rehellinen, itse usein ihmettelen että miksi kukaan haluaisi tehdä lyhythihaisen villapuseron!😅
Keep up the great work! Love your chanell!! ❤ Thanks!
Great video! Thanks from USA
I didn’t know there was an age of white linen pants - I’m not sure if I should feel seen or attacked 😂😂😂 But yeah, slowly getting there, too. 😁🙋♀️
I LOOOVE your Mystic Square top. So beautiful and somehow I missed you talking about it. I also really liked that last one, in black. I'd love that pattern with some sleeves. This was a fun podcast. Thank you! Your raglan matches a bit with the Tolsta Tee, by Rebecca Clow. I’m working on a Midsommar Tee, by Caitlyn Hunter.!
So many beautiful tops!❤ I want to knit the Anker tee or sweater by Petiteknit.

What beautiful colors in your soltdana

great summer top parade, thank you!

I loved this, Jana. Thank you!
Fun video🎉🧶
Ooooo!!! Check out the Joni Top! It’s my favorite summer top of all time. I knit mine in Zooey (Cotolin). In a crisp white color. I adore that top!
Your outfit today is fabulous l am jealous of your summer weather 🤩🤗

This type of episode is wonderful!
❤ all your knits! You look great in turquoise and coral. Shows off your eyes🦋
Thank you Jana, you have inspired me today ❤
Your Sceal Gra is beautiful. I need to add that one to my queue.
yes I am so here for this video!! i think a finnish summer top is basically a autumn, spring and even sometimes winter top in australia.
Beautiful tops and tees
Hi Jana I hav3 knitted the Ilha sweater as a tee with short sleeves and icord neck in Drops Safran.
What a nice video! I like these kind of videos a lot. One thing I like most is how clothes have kept their shape u in use. You see if yarn has pilled lot or neckline has grown etc. Also you hear if pattern has issues. So thank you for making this!

Cik daudz foršu vasaras krekliņu! Man arī jau ir kaudzīte sakrājusies, bet gribas vēl.
Gorgeous knits, but my Ravelry queue is now getting ridiculously long 😂
Loved the round-up episode. Some designs I’ve not seen before so thank you for sharing. I’m currently knitting the Provence top by @thiscosynest. Very engaging lacework at the top.
So pretty Jana, thank you!
Really enjoyed this!

Lovely projects! I am crocheting a mesh jumper, don't think it will be ready for this summer unfortunately!

All of your sweaters are beautiful. You are so talented. Thank you for sharing. See you next time.
Lovely tops Jana….. I just purchased the Kevat and am working on the Emsworth. Love your podcast. Have a great summer!!!
I really enjoyed that and of course now I want to knit all the things. 😁
You are my vacation from worries and troubles.. afterwards i feel i can power thru whatever ails me. Thank you! Love all your tops...such inspiration!

What a beautiful ❤ array of your beautiful summer tops. It was a pleasure to see your choices. Thank you Jana.
Loved this episode ❤ the soldotna is very beautiful but I get the fit issues
I experienced the same thing with my Soldatna! So disappointing. Although I love her designs, I also had problems with the fit in another CH pattern.
Love seeing all your tops.
Thanks Jana. Loved seeing all of your summer tees. Liked the Petite Knits one in the BC Garn. Make mine in black please. 😊
Love this video! Not me..knitting on my ranunculus #6 while watching… 🤫
Thanks for giving me some ideas of what to do next! As always, I love seeing your videos pop up on my notifications. :)
👋 Hi) You have a gorgeous nail color!!!)❤❤
So many pretty tops - especially the lacey ones :)

That was great, and very inspiring. I’m currently knitting the Mia Summer Tee by Coco Amour Knitwear, in a linen and cotton blend. 😊
Thank you for the inspiration!!
I’ll love to hear more about the Karamelli Tee. Is the lace portion difficult? Adventurous beginner here!
I haven´t knitted it but I have considered knitting it and I don´t think the lace is difficult. It`s only a few rows and knitted only on the right side ( because it´s knitted top down in the round. I think Anna-Johanna´s patterns are well written and test knitted.
I have had similar fit issues with this designer. Beautiful pieces but I have the same problems!!

Did your phone overheat because of the strapless bra conversation? lol!
