Hey man just to let ya know.. you said skaters know canvas is durable and will hold up. As a skater, canvas is probably the single worst material for skating. Rips is like 2-3 hours
Dope pair, but they look so much better in videos and pictures, where I think the colors are slightly altered to pop more. In hand I’d say another sb that gets absolutely no love is better, the sb big money savings… the futura is nice though
I didn't hit on release day, but I did hit on 1 of the many skate shop raffles i tapped in. I nearly forgotten I had entered in & went bananas when I got notified of my win.
The pattern on every single pair of the shoes is identical. They basically took a mini canvas version of the painting and stamped the shoe patterns out of each one. 1 shoe per "painting" so they are all identical
Maybe I got visual problems and maybe I am wrong but from the few retail pairs that I hit from skateshops, I disagree that the patterns are completely identical. One example that I could point out where everyone can compare is the pics on SNRKS, the left sneaker where the Futura sig is at there’s a thin black brush stroke touching the lowercase letter “t” on the retail pair but not on that particular SNRKS pics. Remember Futura mentioned in the ‘Behind the Design’ that the inspiration behind this pair is the Paris SBs where not one pair is exactly the same as the others.
@@rchrdp305I was curious when he said about the pattern and on UA-cam the in hand/on foot reviews they are all the same pattern except some are a bit off center and show the excess pattern they intented to cut or glue over. It would be a nightmare if they made the pattern exact to what shows and then just plain white where you glue the sole on. I would imagine if you have 15mm extra all around the cut, some might cut closer to the edge and some will take a cut from as center as possible or maybe there is a defect so they have to take the cut from another area and it would cost a load more to print on stuff you won't be using. So there are differences, but not really intentional to the design. The promotion pair are almost always a bit different from the retail pair, it probably cost $1000 to make them ones with the extra oversight and redoes and touchups to get it perfect. And I have the Burgundy city of love, they aren't all meant to be different. I'm sure the pastorals are the same as this too, just slight variations because of cutting, if you printed the whole leather or fabric, they couldn't get each cut facing the right way because they basically play Tetris with the cuts and squeeze as many cuts as they can in whatever direction they can to minimise waste.
@@jamm8284 I have the City of Life SBs as well, such a nice pair. Those I haven’t seen any differences in the unboxing or reviews as well as the Rammellzee Highs which I have too, but I have for some reason seen a few minor differences in the Futuras. One thing I noticed it might depend on the sizes too as well. Overall, if the patterns are the same or not, the Futura SBs are such a great pair regardless.
@@rchrdp305 I was really hoping for a more unique design too, especially with how random the design is, it doesn't matter which way you cut, you still get the same look. I haven't got them myself, I'm uk14 and I can't afford aftermarket 🤣 every raffle and store I seen and snkrs only go up to 13 but there are uk14 in aftermarket, which is F*cking annoying 🤷🏻♂️
Canvas is probably the worst material to use for skating bro. It does not hold up well at all, leather is so much better. Also if you plan on skating in these gorilla glue applied to the lateral stitches will allow it to hold up much better.
I cop a pair and they are absolutely gorgeous. I like this colorway better then friends and family. That's just me personally. But resell on F&F is $25K 😅
@jacquesslade. The red eyelet comes from his favorite movie the shinning “redrum” he said in an interview. That shoe is so sick. And not sure on this but ppl are saying there’s a hidden panel underneath.
Nike sb is for hypebeasts and collectors, not necessarily skaters. No matter what Nike says, sb is only another revenue stream built on false hype and scarcity. That said, this is an awesome shoe
Were you gifted the pair? Or did you do what most of us did and pay above retail😂😂Most. Not all. When mine arrive, straight to my footsies they will go! I really wish the canvas was suede though. Because that canvas is gonna crease like mad. I get the canvas bc it's from his painting - canvas/painting. I get it. That gradient shoelace is gorgeous. I wish more of their dunks had gradient shoelaces. But canvas will not hold up. I don't think Nike really meant for people to skate in these. They will, but as someone who used to skate myself, canvas won't hold. Suede would've been better.
These really stand out but if Nike designed them and made a million pairs, would they still be as dope as everyone think they are? Maybe it’s just me but if I did win a pair… I couldn’t see myself wearing them
What is going on with the release of the Adidas x TMNT Master Splinter & Shredder sneakers. Why aren’t they available for purchase in North America 🇨🇦🇺🇸 They released worldwide on May 22nd 🐀👟

Seen plenty of others just superglue the stitching and they stay right not these shoes exactly but dunks that are just like these
A lot of these dunks are nice to look at but would never hold up to actual skating.
Super glue will help with the stich popping, but it won't prevent the rest of the toe cap from busting open. Canvas is def not durable.
@@crownedinterror9 the canvas can't really be cleaned either. This shoe would look like crap pretty quick
@@NerdLifts That part 💯

Lowkey a what the dunk for Paris and FLOMs
It was made from the oldest paintings Futura made on some canvas. All colors besides the white canvas are a great aesthetic addition.
Another classic unboxing with the story behind the shoes. Nice job Jacques!
Thanks for the info you did a really good job at informing us about the history of the shoe😊
SAIL BOX ERA
Luckily I copped 2 pairs🍀, DOPE A€£ sneaker ‼️
That check ✔ the laces are aced the colors are great together ❤ very nice
A solid contender for sneaker of the year 👌

Love this shoe I just wish that the swoosh was bigger like the ones on the older pairs

I believe he said last week that Hal from the Space Odyssey movie is where the red circle is represented on this shoe.
Really sick pair, hopefully you enjoy it!
i have a pair of these are my lateral side of my left shoes is exactly the same no difference at all
They are 🔥
Copped these, went straight on feet 🔥🥵

Also has a collab with PRod.

Boom! 🎉
Canvas does not like grip tape. worst enemy
Nobody got these because it was backdoored ! Cmon man we know you got these easily ! Nike doesnt want us to buy these only in resellers !
the seams on the sneakers are just terrible, very crooked
And no words about it, money talks i guess
GG buddy
Lots of L’s taken for these.
I really think these are super overrated. Uncomfy shoes with bad materials
Not a fan of them tbh.
