I have oily, sensitive, acne skin. My top sunscreen under makeup is the litttlextra rice berry spf 50 sunscreen. It performs great even if I am wearing makeup. Over time, it actually brightens my skin, I’m not sure what’s in it, but I really like that. I have already used about 3 to 4 bottles of this sunscreen. Additionally, I also apply rice berry face moisturizer under it and it keeps my skin hydrated.

I think some people assume all lip balms are about glossy lips etc, when some are actual treatments, so give them a bad review because they're not giving the slick goopy shiny gloss. That Peach and Lily one sounds awesome!! I'm currently using the Torriden one, It has a lot of the serum ingredients in it also.

I have to admit that I buy where the prices best. Back in the day when I would go to the department store and buy skin care and make-up the women who worked there were mostly aestheticians, and I really appreciated that extra level of service and knowledge. But it’s not like that anymore. I feel like I know more than pretty much everyone I encounter at a place like Ulta or Sephora. I’m very interested in the bubble oil cleanser, as well as the milk micellar water. That I definitely will try for mascara removal as an option to the Lancome bi-fase (?) product in the blue bottle that I have bought for decades.
As always, thank you Alice and I think you should promote your membership program a little bit more. I didn’t even know about it and I think it’s a great way for people to support you.

Lol yep, I see this a lot on the skincare groups: comparisons to the Ron Swanson meme 🤣 it’s true though, especially as these stores hire folks to help customers in the *entire* store. I can’t imagine anyone being an expert in makeup, skincare, hair, nail, AND fragrance (on top of all the store policies as well?)
Thank you for the encouragement! I had better ideas planned for the memberships prior to our very challenging summer, but hopefully I can get back on track with all of that. In the meantime, thank you for noticing it! 💕

Not enough people are talk about Good Molecules’ Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment. It is so good that I’ve repurchased and am planning to order more in the future. Ingredient highlights: glycerin, ferments, tranexamic acid derivative, niacinamide, panthenol, LHA. It glides on easily, brightens, and helps control by body acne.

As someone who loves Holifrog, I think you should try both them and their affordable sister brand - Current State of Skin (found on the shelf in Target).
Holifrog favs: Grand Amino Cream, Kissimme Cleansing Balm, Utopia Toner, Shasta Cleanser, Sunapee Powder Wash, Owel Eye Cream (the results from this were crazy!) - I've tried almost all of their products.
Current State favs: Mega Moisture Cream, Salicylic Cleanser (I like that its in a creamy hydrating texture especially!) - I've only tried a few things from them.

I am a seriously about to buy Ulta stock! Their addition of these Asian beauty brand is genius. I will pay a bit more for them here vs the Asian sites because I have the option to return if it doesn’t work out. Plus the Ulta points, coupons, and generous gifts with purchase. Omg, the ONLY thing Sephora has on Ulta is the in store samples and some higher end brands. They’re so stingy with sales and their return policy is only 30 days. Thanks for the 10x pint notice video. It made me place an order AND I got a nice sample set with purchase.

So Bubble is an affordable skincare brand that I've really been enjoying for its simplicity. The face mask, vit C serum, & tined mineral spf (one of the only mineral spf that does not leave a white cast on my darker skintone) are 3 of my favorite products from the brand and "drugstore" in general.
I've tried the new cream cleanser featured in this video and I do think it is one of the best cream cleansers for combo skin in an extremely hot climate (I'm in the Caribbean near the equator lol) but I also agree that for a colder climate/season, like when I lived in Sweden, I would prefer someting more creamy (Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Cleanser, Sioris Cleanse Me Softly, Dermalogica Ultracalming, etc.).
I look forward to trying the Oil and Micellar Water as someone who thinks that the only product from Bubble that disappointed me was their Makeup Remover (Wipe Out) which wasn't the best at that.
    - Currently using the JBeauty &honey Sabon Cleansing Balm Blue Clay, and absolutely loving it!

      @AliceintheRabbitHole  25 днів тому +1

@@jenniferarmstrong8879 ah thank you! I usually don't use Salicylic Acid serums/washes and tend to prefer (& see better results) treating my acne with AHA washes.

I also like using the ulta app, its just more user friendly than the stylvana website on mobile (even stylevana emails are lil more confusing too). But there's still things that ulta doesnt have so I dont know I could ever fully switch to ulta.
I also ordered the bubble micellar milk during 10x points but I have not tried it out yet. I have high hopes now! 😊

Oooh, quick question: did the micellar cleanser work on the korean/japanese style of waterproof mascaras? I know it worked on the mascara you used in the video, but I wasn't sure which one you were using. I'm in the market for something that can replace the Isehan wand-style mascara remover without having to use a cotton pad, and this Bubble one looked very promising!

Hi Alice, I'm so thankful to your channel. For someone who has the same skin type as yours, I do learn a lot from your recommendations. Keep up the good work.
Question: I do use Manyo bifida (because of you😅) in my routine too. But as it has coper peptide I don't combine it with retinol. They say it may cancel each one outs active (?). Is that true? In your episode today you have in the same routine adapeline and manyo bifida with coper peptide.

I spent a lot of time trying to get answers to that (got a video about copper peptides from last fall I believe?) and my final conclusion was: the concerns are probably overstated. Per the “father” of copper peptides, overuse could maybe be an issue, but given the cost of copper peptides, I doubt it really is!

I use an oil cleanser, then gel cleanser, then I finish with micellar water.

How does the ma:nyo serum compare to the Numbuzin no 3 serum in your opinion, Alice? I thought Numbuzin was also bifida, I've been using that one for several months and feel like I see good results. You've got me curious about ma:nyo but I'm not sure if it would be redundant!
For buying Kbeauty- love to get what I can from Ulta BUT if I can get it nearly half the price at Marshalls etc, I'll go that route. But if they ever had a good enough sale I would get from Ulta!

The numbuzin is nice, but it feels (on my skin type) like a preview of Manyo’s. I think it’s that manyos is perfectly targeted for dryness, hydration, and barrier boosting. So it benefits all my skin concerns: dryness, sensitivity, my inflammation prone skin!
Could be variable based on skin type and needs, but it’s truly hard to beat for me. Hope that helps!

I'm extremely offended that you still haven't tried the Herbloom clenser. You know what might be easiest? If you added people's recs to the Amazon wishlist, so you don't have to spend on so much stuff :)

I know you probably don’t intend to, but the tone of this comment is kinda rude/mean. A creator doesn’t owe you any reviews. You’ll catch more flies with honey over vinegar. E.g. “I really wish I could send you this product I love. If you add it to your Amazon wishlist I’d be happy to buy it.”

Yep haha, as someone who speaks in sarcasm very often, I get it. But I also understand not defaulting to it in text too. So much context can be lost
I’ve always liked emojis as an intermediate method of communication and ~now that’s unpopular~. And I’m flailing and trying to make the squiggle something to compensate - no, we must have emojis!!!

@@lukastemberger Just some constructive criticism, do with it what you will. Some people in life won’t understand your sarcasm. And sassy can easily be confused with mean. I’m probably just a bit sensitive after dealing with too many “sassy” people at work this week.
