I know this was difficult for you to do, but those of us who are regular viewers truly appreciate the update. I hope that, as you say, this proves an injury that, given time, will heal and Large will be her old self again. (Oh, wait...maybe not her *old* self, but a new and improved self!) Take as good care of yourself as you do of Laragh and the gang! Healing energy to all of you!
Sending lots of prayers & love to Laragh. Is this the same leg she went lame on some months ago? Good old Bute. Bummer, as you only have about another 3 weeks of hunting left. Do keep us posted and I pray that swelling does go down very soon for you to have an x-ray/scan done on her. You need to rename Bonnie, Nurse Bonnie!
It's always something with horses. I hope she recovers quickly and is back to 100% soon. ❤
Aww poor Laragh lee. Wishing her all the best and a speedy recovery. Get better soon laragh lee. Your doing an amazing job lucy with trying to look after laragh and all of your other horses. Keep up the good job you are doing
Aww no sending all the love and hugs to Lara I hope she feels better soon 💖 💓!
Sending lots of love to you and Laragh! My old loan mare did a check ligament at the age of 20 and we weren’t sure she would come back from it, but she made a great recovery and had 8 more years (7 of which were ridden!). Fingers crossed for similar good news and recovery for you! ❤
Really hope she has a speedy recovery! Love watching her hunting.
Sorry to hear this! Wishing Laragh a speedy and full recovery!
Lots of love to Laragh for a full and speedy recovery 😘
Thanks for sharing the hard stuff as well as the fun stuff. Praying for Laragh, and you as the carer.

Oh Lucy I truly am sorry for you and especially Laragh, bless her. I really was hoping she had maybe just slightly knocked it that day and it would be better in a day or so. Fingers crossed for her its something that can fix itself with a bit of rest and tlc, which I know you always give her by the bucket load anyway. Thank you so much for the update, I really appreciate it, I just wish it was better news for you both. Take care lovely, sending Laragh lots of love and healing vibes 🥰❤️

Crossing all my fingers whatever it is- it will heal quickly and fully, I've dealt with about 10 tendon injuries over the past few years with my gang and its so stressful dealing with so many months of rehab (even over a year for a few) each time..
I was in love and prayers that she gets better soon I dry watch it now
Hope your gorgeous girl recovers soon 🙏❤️
My cob did a tendon when she was 26, she was on 3 legs, but after a few weeks box rest she went out in the field 24/7 for 6 months and came back into full work until she retired at 30. Hope Laragh recovers quickly 😊
Love and hugs to Laura-Lee!
Good luck Laragh, get well soon x

^they're NOT there!!!
Speedy recovery to Laragh x
Laragh, Laragh sending you the speediest of get sorted and be that fighting spirit again soon - luv you❤
If she can be trusted to stay relatively still, you can pop a brushing boot on relatively loosely and then tuck the hose in the top of it rather than sit there holding it :)
Aww.Thoughts and prayers for Laragh from my family to yours❤❤❤ Xx. Get well soon
Lara.
Sending love to you and Laragh. ❤
❤Larah,get well soon precious girl.❤❤
Poor Laragh. We put a gloopy kaolin paste on the horses legs after racing etc. Seems to keep some swelling at bay. Yes red mills is great stuff and has outlasted many other feeds.
She doesn't look too awful so fingers crossed for you
Prayers for Laragh. I hope she recovers in time and will be ready for more hunting adventures. :)
Ahh hope she gets well soon ❤❤❤
Hope she gets better ❤
Awwww Laragh. Get well soon! xx
Get well soon L !!
Sending hugs and best wishes to you and Laragh from New Zealand, fingers crossed you can find out what's going on and can figure out where to go from here.
Good luck with it all x
Hope all goes well with your care.
Sending love and positivity
Just curious, why don't you use the ice boots etc instead of hosing. Saves you sitting there holding the hose and saved water. It's so frustrating lameness, especially when you don't really know what is going on. I hope she recovers very soon.
So sorry to see what has happened - Fingers crossed all turns out well. My boy did his check ligament and given 3 months off, he returned to work (he was a happy hacker already though) Just a little tip for cold hosing..... if Laragh is a good girl, pop a brushing boot on and poke to hose in the boot where you need the water to get to and you wont need to hold it! You can carry on with your chores!!
We can recover together Laragh.
I have a slightly torn rotator cuff that didn’t heal correctly due to weight loss and well hyper-mobility.
I ice the area too, it’s a shoulder so that can be tough sometimes, but I want this fixed so I can do horse riding well and I can work with animals properly.
I hope she has a speedy recovery! Have you ever thought of putting Laragh in foal ?
❤healing thoughts sent your way ❤
Hope she is better soon
Love dear Lara get well soon xx
It's Laragh NOT Lara!!!!!
Sending my love ❤
Nooooo hope Laragh is better soon xxx ❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
Oh poor Laragh and you. As a 58yr old ex rider (except when I can resist no longer!) I feel bute is to horse as voltarol is to me....I'm sure she'll get better ❤
Lucy, you could try using ice boots to reduce swelling.
Hope all goes well for Laragh 🤞🙏 My mare Liza many years ago pulled the suspensery ligament, and was put on box rest for over 6 months. I don't think they recommend that anymore, and she didn't like it cause she preferred to live out, but I did used to take her out in the field for a graze for a while. If I remember rightly, I used to soak the bandage in water and put it in the freezer, and put a wrap around her leg, and then the frozen bandage. I think it was nearly a year before she was finally sound, but thankfully she stayed sound. She lived till she was 35 bless her. ❤
Lots of love going to Laura Lee ❤❤❤
💕💕 to you and Laragh

We used to hang the hose over the horses neck and bandage the hose on the leg so ya dont have to stand there
Growing old can be tough - one simply has to 'roll with the punches'…
Does this mean that your faithful Lara is 'put-out-to-pasture' ?
We willl miss the thrilling view over her black-white mane blowing in the wind
Framed by her beautifully delineated, brown and black ears
Lara's snorting and head-tossing… Sad!
Wishing you and your independent-minded Laragh everything of the best
Lara looks cranky the way she is eating her hay can't blame her though she looks really p,d off hope all goes well and she heals quickly . Cheers from New Zealand 🌸

Keeping fingers crossed for Laragh recovery fast you are doing amazing job taking care of her and everything will be okay ❤️✨🐴🐴✨❤️❤️✨🐴🐴🐴❤️💕💕🌹❤️✨✨✨❤️🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹❤️✨✨❤️❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💕💕💕💕💕🌹✨🌹💕💕💕
Dammit! At least you can breed from her if all else fails...
In my Polo Groom years we bandaged a soft thick stable bandage on the leg, ran the hose over ponies' shoulder and down into top of said bandage...turn on and watch. Found it very very good for an even, cold massage effect over the entire tendon..
💜🦄💜🦄💜🦄💜🦄
