I agree with Stephen Colbert as well. It drives my husband and I crazy when the tails are left on too. I also don't like it when I have a seafood stew and they leave the mussels in the shells.
Glad to see you this morning. I just finished a non-fiction November book--the memoir/autobiography The Color of Water A Black Man's Tribute to his White Mother by James McBride. I read McBride's Heaven and Earth Grocery Store and wasn't sure if I liked it but I did appreciate his writing so much so I wanted to hear more about him. The Color of Water is a wonderful story about McBrides's early life--12 mixed race children raised by a Black father and White jewish mother during the 1950's. The chapters alternate from McBride writing one and his mother writing (or talking) in the next. It is an amazing story. Highly recommend. I'm now reading a short story collection about relationships by Katherine Heiny, Games and Rituals just for fun till I get excited about what to read next. Love the Cookbook. Can't wait to hear what your next year's theme for reading will be.
Just made a new recipe for dinner - Chile Chicken Soup (its was great and welcome this raining evening) and I'm reading Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn. So glad I found your channel which was recommended by Ink Paper Blog!
