Believe it or not, the 999 door hype brought a lot of new faces to Tibia. I made this video in the hopes of helping new players get a general idea of what Tibia is, where to go, what to be, etc. Hopefully this helps anyone out there new to the game. Enjoy!

I scrapped this video at least 3 times before finally settling on this. I know it’s still kind of long, but I wanted to make sure I at least explained the basics in addition to some fun stuff in Tibia without going into TOO much detail (first video had 6 minutes of just explaining the options menu lol). Hope this helps any of you new players or anyone looking to get a friend into Tibia!
Dude can u make a long 30 min video about getting from lvl 8 to succeed in tibia. That would help a lot of beginners.
Great video, ill use it to convince friends to join tibia. Btw, you kind of avoided the explanation about tibia worlds: Hardcore PVP, Open PVP , and Optional PVP wich i think is pretty important, but well, great video anyways.

dragoezcurra It definitely is important, which is why I cut that part out because I think it's worthy of its own video rather than a quick explanation :P. Might do that sometime.
everything i s great, you are making videos of tibia, people are starting wondering "mayby i should try it" - buy did you mention the most important things?:
Cipsoft doesnt care about players AT ALL - they dont fucking care about upgrading their game, pvp is shittty, pve is shitty, they DEFINITELY DONT BAN BOTS (i was just checking my loooooooooong list of reported botters - nothing, reported insulting statements - resolved in 1 day (i got deleted because we were joking on world channel with oher guy saying some swearing words to each other and some kind person reported me :D)).
All they do is adding another PREMIUM buttons in game and adding some outfits once every 6 months (famous winter/summer updates)
They are just sitting and waiting for money from PACC instead of working on tibia...
They need to bring back GM's and CM's
As a Brazillian I've always seen lots of my friends being really into this game but always found it intimidating to get into, especially since I was already playing some more beginnner friendly mmos.
Now I've finally decided to give it a try over a decade lately and your material really helped me get started.

Things you should always carry on you:
Backpack (duh)
Shovel
Rope
Fishing Rod/worms or meat
Potions (mana and health)
Optional:
Machete (if you start in venore)
Pick (if you hunt dwarfs)
A low level weapon to train you melee skill (knights and paladins)

Whenever I'm making a mage on Dawnport I like to walk through the Knight gate throw the shield on the ground. Walk through the corresponding mage gate then go pick the shield up and throw the spell book down. Shield has higher defense and usually keeps me from having to run even from large groups of enemies with just casting Exura Infir to heal up.
I've never thought to do that lol. Good tip.
Erik, can we get a new video like this that takes into account all the new stuff like rewards, beast, prey, etc and maybe touch upon difference between new/old server. I think this will help a lot with players who are starting out/returning to the new worlds. Thank you and appreciate all of your content!

Played this game probably over 15+years ago...I wasn't good at the game since I was just a kid and had no idea what I was doing and got killed a lot by random players and stuff. But it was a fun memory and watching this is quite nostalgic haha.
I don't really think it is a good game for "new" players though, and if you are not premium you didn't get to use a lot of spells and many features in the game. But I guess it's pretty cool for a returning player for the nostalgic feel. Man, when I played I don't even think mounts existed!

I played this game as a kid, 10-17 years ago (not sure when in that interval), I remember killing rats soon after starting the game.

I have a level 86 paladin. But i haven't played in over 7 years! I want to come back, but im kind of afraid/overwhelmed of how much the game has changed and need to almost relearn the whole thing.

You can still go there, but it's not the default starting area. People have been asking me for captions in other languages, but I don't know if it's worth translating with Google because I feel like it's going to be really shitty lol.
No, I'm from Poland and I understand English, so I can make Polish captions without Google and (I hope) it will be accurate :) Also it's very sad for my that they've cut the original Tibia intro, it was a part of very good memories, and now Rookgaard adventure starts in a temple *_* it's just not the same, man.
Chubercik Yeah, I can't blame them though because Rookgaard didn't teach you much about the vocations. Maybe they could've added the pedestal things they have now though so we could've hunted Rookgaard as our respective vocations. Oh well.
2 things, there are more tombs and why should a sorc stay away from cyclops but a druid not? Its like the same .. the lvl 19 wand helps.

nice video, but for all you people out there thats about to download this game, dont waste the time/money, its 100% not worth playing this game, you will take maybe level 40 or MAYBE 100+ and realize its the same boring story of running around in circles killing the same mobs over and over for pretty much no reason
and the pvp in this game is just garbo because of the terrible balance when it comes to damage and hitpoints in pvp,
the game has endless levling and of course after 20 years of people running around in circles they get pretty damn high level, 1000 - 1200+ and the health gets higher but the damage stays pretty much the same so the pvp just looks like people drowing wet noodles in the end,
and the levling experience after a while is pretty damn boring, just play something else
this was commented by someone who played this game since 2002, and yeah the game was pretty damn good back in the days but its pretty much a washed up game at this point as cipsoft just tries to milk as much money as possible from the players that can't seem to leave this game for some reason.

Tibia is beautiful, then the dominant guild close everything in the server and you can't play after some lvls, then you lose the interest and quit. :p

Very good video as always but the major cheating/botting situation will deter many new players.
nice video! though i would not recommend port hope to new players as there are several trap holes in the south (some quite dangerous, crowded with coryms)

Late answer, I know, but yeah, with the imbuement system low lvls got a huuuge boost in being able to loot items which you can sell on the market (a system like any auction house found in your depot) for money. And also, the imbuements can make you hit like a truck, give you hp/mana leech and so much more! You got nothing to loose :D

hey man I appreciate the video I used to play back in 2007 and I don't remember shit xD so its very helpful for new players and players coming back to the game. Any advice on lowering ping/lag? I dunno why I feel lag is worst than years before even though I have way better internet now
I have a problem. When i use spell it uses it where my character is looking. How can i make that the spell will be used where i have my cursor ?
This is impossilbe stricking spells will be hit to monster you attack while beam spells hits where you look. Use ctrl +arrow for faster changing the position you look
I new to tibia and I was wondering, where do I see which level I am? can't fint it.

Do you like spawns you can hunt one by one? Try SDing Goroma Serpent Spawns, it should be profitable and decent exp.

Any tips on the best way to raise ML for a MS/ED? Eg: Via hunting with spells or rune making then heading to the spike
Best way as a sorcerer would be to hunt with spells and make magic walls once you reach full soul points. If you're a druid, you're gonna have to make a different kind of rune and you'll lose money in the process. I don't think they have a single profitable rune.

How do you walk with wasd? I can't find a way to switch from arrows
with tibia 11 go to the hotkeys and bind a key to turn the chat on and off. once you turn the chat off with a hotkey you can use WASD ect ect..

You have to have a character on the mission in the In Service of Yalahar quest to charge them.
You mean stucked in that particular mission, or i can still do it with my main who finished Yalahar quest?.
Have to be stuck in that mission.
