So funny, I thought the same thing regarding the boxes! One year in my home daycare I had ordered some new toys for playground & I used the boxes to make "box bots" they could slip over their head & holes for their arms, for the 3 boys in my daycare. They absolutely had a blast with them!

Good morning, Laura. What a beautiful way to start your day! You might want to think about how fast the children are growing before you order expensive furniture 🪑 in kid sizes. They’ll outgrow them in such a short while and in the meantime they have much more interesting places to sit and dream….the edges of the pond, boulders and tree trunks. Much more fun! Love from Nebraska 💕

So happy to see you planting plumbago. I have an area of it and really like it. It does spread (slowly & desirably) in my zone 7a more humid location. It is slow to green-up in late spring, so a good thing is to underplant it with a small daffodil, like tête-à-tête, or my favorite, Thalia.

The pond looks amazing! Kid-size chairs might be a better fit, but I wouldn’t waste the money. They grow so fast you’ll wish you had the larger size soon enough. Also, if Monica and her hubby come over for cocktails you’ll want the larger chairs. You could always put them in another section to enjoy a different view.

This has been on my heart since you got your pond so please take my story into consideration with your kids: My parents had a pool before I was born. It was fenced in and locked. I was also in swim lessons since I was 3 (it saved my life). They always said “don’t swim in the pool without someone with you.” This particular hot day my uncle was watching me (age4) and my cousin (also 4). We decided we wanted to go swimming. My uncle was in the front yard talking to my neighbor non the wiser of our intention. Me and my cousin put on our floaties and found away over the locked fence into the pool. I jumped in but my cousin did not. My parents said SOMEONE should be with me so my 4 year old brain thought my cousin was enough. I don’t know how long I was drowning but if I didn’t go to swim lessons and knew to push off the bottom of the pool I would be dead. My cousin somehow got out of the pool area, over the fence, and went to her dad. He asked “where’s Kierra?” And she said “swimming.” He rescued me but so many things could have gone wrong. I wanted to share my experience to give you a warning of how quickly and silent downing happens. Please be VERY watchful-especially of Samantha Grace.

Thank you for commenting this…it was on my heart…but thought I’d go and check the comments to see if I was the only one, that would bring *the negative stigma*. Im sure Laura and Aaron are aware of the dangers of having *a watering hole in the yard with their children….I personally know a family that had the misfortune of losing one of their daughters to drowning…it only took a couple of minutes and that’s all it took for an eternity of the what ifs and could of’s. It’s so important to teach our children to swim, even when their babies….it can and will save their lives. Sending love to Laura and Aaron and family. 😘❤️🙏🏼🌺🐾🐾🐾

The plumbago is going to look so good where you planted them.
The chairs are perfect! They look great there.
Oh the pond! I feel like I could sit on the edge and write or sketch all day.

Good morning from soggy Southern California. What a glorious pond you have! Love Love LOVE watching all of you transform your beautiful garden into a spectacular feast for the eye. Now, 🥴 if only I could transport in the blink of an eye all you have done to our garden such as it is I would be ecstatic! Great job all!!! Looking fantastic. Thank you for sharing your videos. I especially loved your last outing with your lovely mother, what a relationship the two of you have. 🤗💕🙏🏻

I absolutely love my Ceratostigma. It spreads beautifully and is so easy to propagate. The brightest clear blue flowers ever!
