Nice! I've never seen Echo in poke situations. Might try this later.
u can poke then dive when enemy has no cooldown from countering the poke like suzu, nade etc. dont just use flight to fly like pharah. the faster u cancle, u will get mroe momentum so get to high ground or save ur self. sometime ground and snipe echo is the choiice so use the hold to fly so u can cancle it at the first frame. hope these helps :D
oh also use flight to escape, u can use it get to the high ground or postion wait for the cooldown to comback then engage. u can also fly like pharah if needed but make sure ur team can help u since u will have wait for flight
So that's how I should play Echo. I've been trying to imitate one Echo where she'd just, seemingly out of the clouds, come down and hit me with all her stickies and be in my face
Assassin echo is only one of her phases. Start fights with poke and while you’re poking position to where when the fight breaks out you can dive and jump on peoples heads who get separated from their team
The jump on people works like you explained but if you have a bad team or attack before your team is ready you’ll get destroyed
@RauKnowsOW Luckily, I only really play her in Mystery Heroes. But the tips do shed some light on how to properly play her
Would also add idk if itd help or not buuuhgt.
1.) She cant assassinate every hero (In 1v1s, and stranded players) But she can assassinate every hero below half hp and on CD.
2.)Her beam still does the bonus dmg to shields, turrets, etc if the person is half health like Reinhart
3.) Sometimes its better to stay frontline with tank in terms of contesting or holding an angle instead of flying looking for picks. Poke/peel or kill enemy's tank and ult them before they die so your team has two tanks in needed contesting or team fights (theres a reason why Ow2 doesnt have 2 tanks anymore)
4.) Flight ability is better used to get away, dodge, or chase than looking around
5.) When holding a long angle or pushing on a map with tall buildings (Works best with slanted roof tops) running into them makes descending slower so flight ability comes off cooldown while youre still "flying"
6.) Turn toggle flight "on" in settings makes her movement so much easier
7.) Copying DPS could in fact be the reason you lose. You should never copy a DPS unless youre a OT on the DPS youre about to copy, or youre about to die to reset health twice
8.) ALWAYS COPY THE ENEMY MERCY. HEAL CHARGE ULT SHOW DOMINCE BY BEING BATTLE MERCY AND 1V1 THAT FUCKER KILL SPRAY DED BODY EMOTE SPIN TO WIN TBAG WITH MAX SENCES THEN DIE TO WORSE PLAYER ON ENEMY TEAM. RINSE AND REPEAT.
9.) Shooting bombs on the ground is usually 90% more beneficial then trying to stick a enemy player as they do aoe
Like i said these tips could be completely useless or you already know these since its a 3month reply but this is my take after 20-30hrs(Didnt play her much in OW1 probably like 10-15hrs) and sometimes flightless echo is better than flying echo.
A lot of people need to hear the first one, its surprising how many echo players i see in my games that dont know that the beam is for people under half health. Tbf im low elo, but people should still know this

Mercy’s pistol does 100dmg per second that’s the scariest thing to tell a mercy main

Echo’s always a blast to play, I feel like she’s got very few if any true counters as you can almost always play around the enemy team comp. She’s so flexible and people rarely know how to correctly deal with her
Also duplicate can be used as well for a possible fight changing ult charge such as nanoboost and kitsune rush. However the second life tip is just as valuable too, if not just more valuable in general. Good vid👍
ive been playing tbis game since 2017 and this guys tips are def the best i see, alot of other creators give beginner tips that dont mesh well when learning the advanced aspects of this game but this guy sets beginners up to think of the game like a high level player
As a long time tank main, I always find it hilarious to copy the enemy Rein and absolutely body them in the mirror match-up
For learning her weapon spread I’m using tri wing reticle with a dot for sticky’s
And a small tip for echo's playing against snipers, flying up just makes you a target that can't get cover so watch your flights
As an ashe main i truly wish my team knew how to pick off low health targets, because of ashes damage falloff you have to hit 3 headshots in a row to kill low health heros
Me: if you play echo stop same with pharah am starting to track them with junkrat the PTSD is so great am getting god level 😂😂

I've been playing her a bit more in dive comps and the rare poke comp. When you setup the assassin drops with her it's so satisfying, it's like you said. Sit and poke and see who breaks off from the fight and if you can then dive on em. I honestly prefer her to Pharah as her primary is better imo or I just land shots better with it.
Just decided to give OW a try 2 days ago and read thru every character that instrested me and Holy shit! I want Echo so bad lol! She just stood out the most but I gotta win 130 games to play as her😭

The one thing he didn't mention, projectile + beam.
Dont try to play like he says, play how your confortable with. Its good to take pointers however its not really something you should solid focus on. Go with the flow in other words
Echo's kinda like the flying genji with no swiftstrike
The beam is something I have always struggled with since I never see anyone at half heath so I either used it to early or never managed to use it
I would say a big one is to copy supports. Support ults can be easily farmed up and are quite powerful you can use a nano or Lucio ult and the affects will last until they normally run out. A bap window or tree will last 4 seconds after you leave duplicate or their normal time.
Not to mention you get the huge base util of some of these characters
Ex. Anti sleep immortality field.
About the Mercy comparison, yeah of course it’s stronger if you only land headshots on an immobile target

Remember when echo 1st came out💀 used to be 1hp use ult get the tanks full health & when her ult was over she would go back to full health💀
I've noticed that if you are low hp and you duplicate a support, your health would completely regenerate.
Thats why once i finish my concentration beam i immediately use sticky bombs to finish the job😊😊😊
her beam does more dps than Winston
Only thing good for her is she can do more cass ults
Copying tanks usually isn’t a good idea though only ram being the exception
Tip 4 : never use her slime queen skin
A good echo is so fricking annoying to play against especially if your the only one that notices and attacks the echo

Echo is insanely underrated and probably my favorite hero in the game. She’s so versatile, you can play her with literally any comp and do fine, does fantastically with a pocket and fine without, has a high damage combo, makes no footsteps… literally the only drawback is the steep learning curve but once you’re past that she’s so much fun

I don't get what I'm doing wrong with echo, everyone else duplicates and gets like three ults in one go whereas I use it and get like five kills and don't get one ult while copying and my copy last like 2 seconds
Copy supports. Supports have on average the lowest point requirements for getting ults. Such as Coalescence, Kitsune Rush, and Transcendence.
But Tracer has The Lowest point rqmt of any hero. Is your good at tracer, copy her, get 2x damage and 5x ult charge rate than normal tracer.
