My dream in the future when I move out of my parents house (whenever that will be in the future) is to own a library with all of my prize possessions - books 🦋🦋💙💙
Don't give up on that dream. I used to wish it too. Then my partner and I moved into a new apartment and I had to give up most of my books because the apartment was too small and on the top floor. I had to give away over 300 of my books, mostly books I read as a child and a teenager. And now that we have our own bigger house, I feel stupid that I didn't think to store the books in my parents' house. My partner and I are starting a family now, and I don't have any books to start with for my future children. I regret it. So don't give up on that dream at any cost !! 🍀❤️
@@vlcice5 awww I'm sorry you had to give away alot of your books. But I'm sure you'll find them in charity shops in the future. I used to read Cathy Cassidy when I was younger and I loved her books and I gave them away and I regret it because I would re-read them over and over again and I absolutely loved them, but again, I regret getting rid of them 😥😥
@@georgiefarr1094 Thank you. 🌻 Yes, I think you are right. Luckily I wrote down every single Title that I had to get rid off. So once we will have more money then we need ( like that's ever going to happen :D ) I may buy them again. Same for you I guess. Maybe when you will have your own house with that nice big library in it you will buy those books back to re-read them. :)
Absolutely gorgeous library!😍 The Penguin Classics you mentioned at 45:24, I have the Pride and Prejudice edition and I think they're called Penguin Leather-bound classics. They're designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith who creates absolutely stunning covers! She's also designed the Penguin clothbound and paperback classics as well.
I love that you love and talk about Kate Morton! Her books made me obsessed with that particular kind of historical fiction. She really needs to come out with a new book soon! Also love the rainbow shelves. They're so pleasing to the eye and how I organise my books too. It just looks tidier
I think you have the most aesthetic and stunning library on booktube ! The ladder really is a moment and the perfect touch 😍, we all need to channel our inner Belle sometimes haha ❤️
Just popping in to say that the 1st Percy Jackson book is on the shelf with The Last True Poets and The Midnight Library! I saw it on there and wanted to let you know. 😘
Video number 200!! Love it!!!!! I woke up around midnight today, so I started watching your videos early and will keep watching them all day, of course. Still can't wait for the last video. It'll feel like such a great accomplishment for me when I get there! 🥰
Love you much, Miss Lexi! I think I'm gonna go get ready for tomorrow now because as you knoww, I have been going to bed super early for some time now, since I have insomnia, and it makes me feel tired earlier (also makes me wake up after 2-4 hours of sleep). Insomnia is known for not letting you sleep but I used to think it was gonna be something that really keeps me from sleeping at all but it is just preventing me from having a full night's rest every night. I hate this so much! I hope none of you ever experience this. I can't function for a lot of the time I'm awake, so I can't even just spend my time reading, which sucks. I'll be heading over to my grandmother's house for the next few days, and will hopefully be able to read physically there. I drank a tea last night that helped me sleep more, and I'm kind of wide awake at this time (3:21PM - a rare thing for me), but I don't know if I'll be able to stay up past 7, so I'm gonna do my stuff before it's too late and I'm too tired to function again. Because, when this happens, it's actually so bad that I'm not able to open my eyes, but also not able to sleep until it's past a certain hour. ALL DAY DROWSINESS!! So annoying!!! If I have some extra time when I'm done packing and washing dishes, I will come back to watch another one of your videos. Maybe more if I can. And, how awesome that I ended on video #200! Was is really 200 or did I correct it in another video and it's actually something else? LOL
If I were to make a chocolate for lexi inspired by this book tour it would be a crisp chocolate mocha with a surprise of soft nougat, with an assortment of nuts and almonds (but not too much), and the wrapping would be all black with gold foils and a ginger cat 🐾 on em saying for meow!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
This video is just stunning! I really appreciate all of the work you have put into it. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful creation with us! I hope you’re doing well. ❤️
This is my dream! I'm moving in with my best friend in a few months and we're going to try to get an extra room for a library!! I can't wait! I'm hoping I can get my bookshelves to look even half as pretty as yours!
Personally, I think organizing books by color is gorgeous!!! 💖🌈💖 I am itching to do mine. However, the only difference is that I am hoping to pull out all of my series books and give them their own space. Idk, if that is plausible since I have so many books that are part of a series. Hahaha. But, I absolutely adore your collection 😍📚😍
This is the first time I ever heard anyone talk about The Gracekeepers. I read it. I wished I liked it more than I did, but I am glad that I read it. It is an interesting read at the very least because it is this largely water world and the rich people live on land, and the richer you are the lower to the ground your house is. And this circus is one that travels by boat. I hope you love the book when you do read it,.
The color is pretty, but I can't deal with the authors not being together so I can find for rereads. I also sort by genre loosely, so I can browse when I want a certain genre. Your collection is enviable.
As always, you are goals! Thank you for sharing and trying new things. I have been reorganizing with the color theme and now on the size theme but my collection is not even close to your amount so I’m sure this was quite a project to do but it’s gorgeous! And the little busts just bring the black shelves together, my favorite section.
I don't have my shelves organised by colour but I did start a fun challenge for myself a few months ago. I really want to tackle my huge TBR but I'm horrible at setting set TBR's since I'm such a mood reader. Then I thought of what if I tackle my TBR by colour?? That way I'll pick up books that have been on my shelves for way too long but I can still be a mood reader since there are all possible genres within these colours still. Last month I finished all my pink books that were currently on my physical TBR and currently I'm doing blue and like you said in the beginning of this video, for some reason I have SO many blue books ? So it will take a bit before I can go onto another colour but I'm having a blast 😂😂
I saw you have The Seven 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and I desperately want to hear your thoughts when you read it! It is one of my favorite books, I gave it 5/5 stars. Honestly I recommend all of the books on your dark academia shelf 😂
