PT 1- WORK ROOM TOUR 2022 - SHOP MAKEOVER- Furniture Refinishing / Flipping
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 кві 2022
- Part 1- I redid my whole work shop! I added cabinets, a new epoxy floor, a partition wall, and tons of storage and organization.
I was invited by @statementdesigns to take part in her 'Show Me Your Workroom' challenge, and the timing was perfect, as I had just upgraded my space.
Part one shows the transition from my old workspace into my new room. Part two (coming tomorrow) is an up close and personal look at the space, my products I can't live without, organizing tips, and a peek through all the drawers and cupboards.

Both your "before" and "after" workshops are SO organized! Great job. I hope the store compensated you for the paint that wound up all over your driveway. Lastly, I concur with the other commenters -- you DO NOT look like you're over 40!
I appreciate that, thank you!
I like that you're using repurposed and reclaimed materials in this makeover, I think it turned out great.
Your new setup is amazing. The epoxy floor and those cabinets - wow! A creative space needs to be what works best for the creator. So much positive energy will feed your upcoming projects. I believe the deer were also impressed.
So clever to use the back of the studs for storage - and saves the cost (and time) of sheeting. Well done.
Great job Angie, as always! This was inspiring. You were a champ to move all that furniture out of the Uhaul alone, I would have been ☠️ lol. Eventually I would love to have a work room space this large and functional and get all this furniture out of my house 😫 Lol, but until then I can gather ideas to save and write down for when I do get that extra space. Can’t wait for the sequel lol 💚
I wholeheartedly agree ❣️
Love it Angie. Your attention to the cleaning of every surface and the perfection of your work is why I watch your channel. Your a professional and deserve a professional space to work. So happy for you. And I love bunnies. Lionhead are my favorite for their beauty but each personality shows something to admire and treasure. Thank you so much for helping the bunnies. I have volunteered for many years with animal rescue. You have a heart of gold. 💖🐰🍀
Good heavens, woman! You are a force of nature. Congratulations on the hard work and planning. I love how you seem to find a solution to every problem life throws at you! I'm watching in awe, just like the deer😱🦌 May your new workspace and gym area bring you much health, wealth and inspiration. Thank you too for making the time to take us along on your journey. Power to women and the life that you have made for yourselves. You have created a sanctuary for humans and animals alike. My prayers go out to you for a happy and blessed life. Much love from South Africa. Can't wait for Part 2! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I've really been looking forward to your shop makeover for some time now. I love watching everyone organize. I keep seeing things and saying to myself, "why didn't I think of that?" Love your channel! Barry
I about fell off the couch, I thought you were in your 20’s, even though your experience and wisdom says otherwise. Wow! What an inspiration you are.
I’ll take it!! Hahaha, yes, I’ve been told many times I look younger than I am. I suppose that’s a good thing! But I definitely FEEL my age, lol
Angie, I started watching last night and because I was exhausted (and your voice is so soft and soothing) I feel asleep 😴 NOT because the content was boring. I enjoyed every minute of this video, the planning and seeing how you did a lot of things yourself. Great work on those doors!! You make me realize I have to next-level organize my things now. Can't wait till next video. I'll be taking notes!
Nothing more important than a good work space.
Angie, you're awesome. I ❤️ what you did. Everything looks clean and neat and easy to find. I envy you, girl. I can only imagine how much easier and enjoyable, working in this space will be.
You did such a great job!! By yourself!! Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!!! I'm the same way!!💪💖
Great space. Loved that you reused the cabinetry. Loved the new floors too.
Wow Angie, the layout looks like it has a nice flow. The cabinets & floor are perfect. Your talent shows in that you leveled everything despite the wonky floor. We have always used the spaces between the studs! When I was young, I thought my Dad invented that lol. That looks like an awesome mitre saw. It's looking great, I hope you really enjoy creating there.🌷🌷
Well, lets start with "well into my 40's" You don't look it on screen. I can sympathise with the paint spill. Me too ,only mine was in the car,all over my luvly leather seats. Never did get them 100% after that. Great job so far excited for tomorrow.
Ohhh nooooo!! I would be horrified!! 😫
😰
You are an amazing human. It’s impressive what you have done organizing your workspace. Now we see that the stunning furniture you turn out originates in an organized and artistic mind.
I watched part 2 first and found it fascinating - now this really shows how determined, organized, and ambitious this transformation was. Kudos! 🎉love the floor finish and storage in back of the wall!
Absolutely fantastic and inspiring as always, so happy for you to have this updated, more functional and beautiful space!
I bet that feels SOO much better!! Now there'll be more space for creative processes! (NOT insinuating you need it at all!! You are amazing!)
You work harder than anyone I know! Add that to your artistic talent and focus on details! Wow! Also love that you continue to educate yourself on all aspects of your business to include recordings, lighting etc
Willow did an excellent job as supervisor. LOL Your renovation looks terrific. More importantly, it looks safe and easy to maneuver in. That will definitely reduce wear & tear on your body. Congratulations on the upgrade. You've earned it.
What a beautiful change! So light and bright, organized and efficient. Love it, Angie!
I’m sure you are going to love working in your great new space. Great job, Angie.
Ps. Cannot believe you are in your forties!!!
Your new work room is fabulous, Angie! Love the idea of used kitchen cabinets and countertops (my neighbors just threw theirs away and I didn’t see it until bulk trash was picking it up☹️) and the new epoxy floor looks awesome! It’s neat, organized and very functional. Definitely picked up some great tips for “our” workspace (my husband and I share the garage, he does some woodworking as a hobby and not as “tidy”😉 so it’s a work in progress). Thx for sharing your makeover!💜
i love this! it's so much fun to see the changes you made! and it looks wonderful!
when you were talking about using mason jars for storage, i remember my g'father. in his basement workshop he had some storage behind doors that shut out the unfinished part of the basement, and on the backs of some doors, he had baby food jar lids screwed to cross bars and kept screws, nails, nuts, small bolts, etc., all sorted in them.
thank you for triggering that memory; i grew up always wanting to "help" him in that workshop, and he's been gone 25 years now.
Awww… I love that!
I am envious. That has to make you smile every time you open the door.
Hi Angie - I really enjoyed watching you re-design your workspace being a builder's wife - I had to watch - pick up some of your tips and overall I think you did a fab job. Fantastic and I am sure you are so pleased with the ease now with which you can manoeuvre around your space. I am keen to watch Part 2 - WAY TO GO! MQH :-)

You must be so pleased to have a refreshed and organised space. I look forward to Part II.
I’m so happy for you to enjoy this new workshop! The FLOOR is amazing 😻! I Love your workshop!! Slightly jealous but YOU did work really hard for this update! Three weeks is a lot of work and you are well worth the investment! I’m happy for you!!
I really enjoyed your shop tour last year. You seem to organize tools and supplies in a way that suits my organizing style. I loved how you used the peg board to hang your sanding disks and see that you did that again. Also liked seeing how you hung all your scrapers and chisels. I do remember liking how you organized like items in plastic shoes boxes. I am glad that you are doing a part 2 to show us in more detail how you rearranged all these things in your new shop. I have to say I've been curious to know what in the world you have stored in all those slim plastic boxes that I've seen on that one shelf in your old videos (art supplies?). I moved last month and all my stuff is still in boxes. My last shop was primarily in my garage, but I am now going to make an indoor studio in my large dining room. Keep the dirty work in the garage and move in to the A/C to do the painting and other finishing details. I'm just struggling to sort out what I will keep in the garage and what I want in my studio. Soooo many things!! This "Show Me Your Workshop" challenge came at just the right time! Love your new space!
Oh my gosh!!! The space that you started with?!?! Holy cow! Good for you man... I love your new space though. SO so organized and streamlined. Great job!
You give me such hope for the future, Angie! How exciting to be able to work in such a beautiful space that you created yourself.
You absolutely are a very hard worker, this space turned out great! So happy you have a nice organized space where you can create beautiful pieces, Bravo❣️
The ramp on the U-Haul can be lifted up and hooked into place so that there's no step coming off the back of the truck. Too late now, but if someone else rents one.
The workroom of my DREAMS
A place for everything and everything in it’s place! I dream of a room like that ....
Whao! That’s amazing!! My heart went out to you unloading all that by yourself in the cold. At least the deer was helpful 😉
Wonderful remodel, Angie...you generously share your knowledge with us...you are my favorite in UA-cam!
your organization makes the visual organizer I am so happy! I recently discovered your channel and am really enjoying going through your old videos. Only downside is I like to have UA-cam on while working in the garage and I'm finding I just want to sit and watch!! 😂 I have goals of refinishing furniture and upcycling but am truly just starting out. thank you for the great content!
Thank YOU for watching and the great comment Laura! I really appreciate that and I'm so glad I'm able to help. 😊
The human psyche is soooo amazing Angie!! How everyone approaches their shops is really interesting. I've watched 6 separate Creator's videos so far & all of your shops are so different!! Nice set up. Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks so much Mike!! 😀
Oh wow!! This is so nice. I like the floors and cabintry. I really like how you organize. Looking forward to part II.
The new workshop looks so much more spacious - I hope that it streamlines your organization and processes too. Oh and I was convinced you were in youir mid-thirties - but hope your health kick makes you feel more youthful. Can't wait for part two...:)
I got so into this video that when you were showing the Wise Owl salves, I actually caught myself leaning in to smell them.
HEY! I said I caught myself. Don't judge me.
I love it! 😍
Fantastic! Good for you for giving this to yourself. I'm in the middle of a studio 'rejig' myself- so much hard work, but sooooooooo worth it! See you tomorrow for part 2.
Looks great, Angie. I'm impressed by the beautiful cabinets that you were able to buy second-hand. And I am very envious of your epoxy floor. Can't wait to see part 2!
What is important is that it works for you.
To me it looked great before but it looks fabulous now. I think I have workroom envy. You did a really great job, you really are a very hard worker.
It's not easy to do but once you're done, whew! What a relief. Tweaking will be constant but all good. Congrats!
Looks AMAZING! Super impressed you hung those cabinets by yourself! You really did a fantastic job. It looks so nice with the epoxy floor and all the matching cabinets. I’m sure it will be much more efficient (than your 2 previous workshops), besides be oh so easy on the eyes! CONGRATULATIONS!🎉
Auntie Angie Angie cuz cabinets look awesome for repurposed kitchen cabinets. Least they look good in the picture anyway.
Epoxy floors are awesome definitely worth the money in the long run.
Okay this is the second thing somebody showed me with pegboards I need to add one in my garage for my tools.
I like those little black trays that hang on the pegboard as well definitely going to get some of those as well.
Great job. Yes doing things by yourself can be challenging but we come up with a little tricks to help us out along the way. Congrats looks like a great work space now and very functional.
So happy for you! The floor looks great! Everything looks fresh, clear and convenient. A nice work space to continue your beautiful work. ❤️
And wow, I wish I had some of your drive and energy. You go girl! 💪🏼
next time you rent a uhaul, notice the two holes just above the ramp? yep, you can hook it in them to make it flush with the box! It should be easier next time ;)
👏👏👏 Yes, can't wait
Okay Angie. Watched P1 a few times, and continually impressed. On to P2.
Wow!!! What a lot of work, Angie! And it looks great! I bet you are just loving your new workspace!👏👏👏❤
Love this! Envious of your beautiful, organized space and all the wonderful tools! Congrats on your new (not anymore) space, Angie! You did a great job creating this!!!
WOW what a great job Angie, you really nailed it as usual. Can't wait to see part 2. Thank's for shearing it. Have a nice day.
Angie, I admire your skills, knowledge, and creativity. Looking forward to part two. On a unrelated note, you do not look like you are in your 40's at all!
Thank you so much!
You did an amazing job. Work spaces are not easy to organize and make into a workable workspace.
Wow what a great workshop! Those cabinets worked out so well for you, what an awesome find. I love how organized and tidy you keep things. No judgement from me on a touch of OCD because I've been known to be the same. Congratulations & can't wait for part two.
I’m in the process of putting my garage workshop together right now and your video content and tour has been very valuable. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Your very nice showing your space and it's transformation. Thanks I wish my space was that large. You go girl 👏.
04:38 Oh Angie - you are such a pretty woman. Don't talk yourself down. I did that so often when I was younger. Now I look at photos of my younger self and think, "My gosh - you were so pretty!" There's a famous saying that goes, "Youth is beauty", and it's true. So stop worrying about camera angles.
Your work room is awesome! I would so love to have a dedicated workspace. Someday… All the best to you, Angie.
So next time you need to use a U-haul, that pull out ramp has two sorta hooks on it that go into corresponding slots so that there is no "step" at the top of the ramp. You have to pull it all the way out then lift it by hand for the hooks to go into the slots.
Beautiful new space, Angie! I am looking forward to all the lovely furniture that will transcend there.
FYI, Ridgid Products are Home Depot exclusives. As such, although they share many features with other national brands, some part dimensions may be unique. What this means is parts are sometimes difficult to find. The only ones that may have them are other Home Depots. Sizes are just a little out of the ordinary. Great product at good prices though!
Angie! Spectacular new space. Awesome job. Organization is key!
I'm from the Caribbean, seeing you walking on the snow with sneakers 👟 is 🤯 lol!
Good job! Your workshop looks great! 😊❤
Some of us wear flip flops until November 😉 I think we're built a bit differently here when it comes to snow.
Angie you did a fabulous job, it looks perfect for your needs. Luv that you reused kitchen cabinets.
Amazing, I especially love the floor and how clever you are to use kitchen cabinets!
I put an epoxy floor in my basement and I absolutely love it.
You deserve to have this new space! I’m so happy for you!
You are so capable and have an enviable workroom!
You've really made the space work for you 👍👏👏👏
Great workspace. Those cabinets look new!
I love that floor in particular. Very cool remodel.
I love your workspace Angie! Can’t wait for part 2😊
Wow Angie! That is incredible ! Looking forward to see part 2! Christine 🇨🇦
Great use of space, it looks fantastic! I’m sure as you continue to work in the revamped space you will make make adjustments as needed.
You so deserved a better workspace. Looks great and well organized. 😻
Just here for some judgement by the local wild life. 😜 Envious of the floors ❤️
I really Willy liked the outcome! Looks nice, but also practical!
Wow! In thought your original space was beautiful, this is amazing!
Great video Angie. Your workroom is fantastic. Looking forward to tomorrows vid
Amazing transition!
Looks very nice and yes, you are a hard worker. Congrats on your new workroom.
congrats on the floor. they sure are nice. Nice work on your space Angie.
You are a Rock Star! So well done. Alone…amazing!
Wow, thank you!
Angie, you did a fantastic job and it looks great plus it appears so functional.
I'm doing this comment BEFORE I watch the video because I just have to tell you that today is my birthday and I've been dropping hints for 6 months about Mr Dewalt. Guess what? You'll never guess!! Yes! Yes! I got it!!!!
Ok! Time for the sow!!
This was absolutely amazing! Your very inspiring when it comes to your work. You have a lot of knowledge and I just love watching you. Thank you for all you do💜💜
Wow! That was a lot of work. Looks great. I really like those doors you refurbished.
What a job! Congrats. I wish I would clean my house like that.
What a good idea to buy old kitchen cabinets for do much storage, sturdier and cheaper than buying something similar from IKEA-like.
Yes! There were so many used kitchens available for much less cost than new and better construction than ikea. I did briefly consider ikea, but only because of the amount of customization it would have afforded me. But it would have cost a few thousand more. My used one was 1500 Canadian with the countertops. There were some for less, but I needed very small upper cabinets for over the windows.. this one was perfect for that. And I like to reuse as much as I can. :-)
I will be checking my lids from now on!
The work room looks awesome. Now I have inspiration to organize mine! 😊👍💜🇨🇦
This is brilliant!!! I am impatiently waiting to "be nosey" tomorrow 😍
Thank you SO much for the tour! I can't wait to see what you create in the new space!
OMG, this is beautiful! You did so much work and reused so much!! Just awesome.
