Use Gaia Gear to block petrify. Also you can turn the battle speed down so enemies don't attack so fast. Battle speed doesn't determine ATB, it determines how fast the enemies are, not the party. Then you have been in the back row and cast cure 1/2 to counter Tornado, as melee attacks do jack to the back row. I don't know why you would ban using items. @@joshstephens413 It can be done. For fun after seeing this epic fail I decided to do the run myself. Barbariccia was by far the hardest part of the run because of the tornado. I completed the Solo Cecil Challenge on SNES but I needed items. You can circumvent a large number of mechanics with the right gear but the literal ultimate stopping point is Demon Wall. Even if you did a controlled stat growth to maximize your Strength and Speed growth, Cecil cannot deal enough damage to avoid being crushed by Demon Wall without both Haste and Slow. I don’t know why he always bans the Item command, especially in cases like this where he’s crippling himself massively already.
@@praetorxyn Short answer? One battle at a time. The last dungeon is a painful slog to the point where 99 Elixirs is essentially mandatory. For me, I even enforced the rule that I must obtain the Crystal Sword and the Adamant Armor (from getting a Pink Tail), both of which were beyond brutal on their own. I believe the reason why he choses not to use items has to do with how much it can trivalize things. All the walls he hit where he resorted to grinding were situations wherein items would've made a difference. Using Barbarica as an example, she won't counter attack if you use attack items.
Abut that at lv 99 Cecil's BEST weapon is the Drainer/Blood SWORD but the Elban Castle TRAPPED monster chest in order to equip it is going to be at pain in the ass even WITH Paladin Cecil at lv 60+ and the Flame Sword from the Tower of Zot equipped before attempting to get the Blood Sword. But theirs still like 2 undead enemies IN the final dungeon as a random battle but none of the final dungeon bosses are immune to the HP drain effect. Dark Bahamut for the Crystal Sword/Ragnarok it tends to start out with Megaflare but on a Solo run it may at lv 99 possible still hit him for 9999 damage BEFORE you can use a Lunar Curtain but If you survive Megaflare it never uses it again on a solo Cecil game.
This was obvious to be fair but I was expecting you to get further I mean I was wondering what you were gonna do later against the likes of gobez and such Then there was final boss gonna say this now you had no chance
Can you mod the code to switch characters to try solo challenges with other characters in ff4 (make another character cecil and cecil then takes there spot)?
@@ace-trainer-ajYou can use a Light Curtain or Lunar Curtain, Light Curtains drop from Lamias who you can grind drops from a couple of ways before the Sealed Cave
About that even on the Pixel remaster they almost NEVER drop them and the Demon Walls Crush instant kill attack is NOT only NOT reflectable but the Blink spell (decoy items) won't make it miss completely so Crush will always instantly kill you.
I guess Barbariccia didn't appreciate that you totally butchered her and her peers' names. That's what you get for skipping cutscenes in FFXIV, all their names are said aloud there 😁
Easily BUT lv 80+ is a must in order to kill the Trap Door enemies before their instant kill move triggers and you need Paladin Cecil at that lv in order to kill the Demon Wall boss BEFORE it kills him in 1 hit with Crush.
Please add some more songs to your repertoire, "You're Not Alone" may be a great song but having it as the sole background track in so many of these videos just makes it become less enjoyable to hear. Try using songs from the specific game you are actually playing.

You need to reset for good stats. Past level 70 they're random.
In the original, yes, but not in the pixel remaster
How overpowered can you get on Tales of Symphonia?
When are you starting FF5 pixel remaster platinum playthrough?
Like now, watch later. Curious for this one :]
Time for radiata stories gameplay?
isn't FF4 cecil only just the normal game? considering how often the party is changing.
The pixel remaster is easier than the original. So I suppose here its possible but not back then.
still waiting for the ff5 platinum walkthrough
Yes. yes you can.
The background music is a big sarcasm. How is it named again ?
Holy cow! Is this your first failed challenge?
I think there was a very short-lived FF8 draw-cast only challenge.
The first boss was straight up unbeatable.
I am commenting! I love you!!!
This was obvious to be fair but I was expecting you to get further I mean I was wondering what you were gonna do later against the likes of gobez and such
Then there was final boss gonna say this now you had no chance
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you fail a run. What is life?
I think just don't kill the party members in this instance. Have them kill each other and you focus on the boss
You should eliminate the "no items" rule from your challenge runs.
So no can you beat garland with a single mobile phone video? :(
Can you mod the code to switch characters to try solo challenges with other characters in ff4 (make another character cecil and cecil then takes there spot)?
I feel like a boss for calling tornado lady out before I started watching 😅
I bet the result would be different if you used items.
Wow this is a first for failed challenges right?
So, will the Trap Doors and the Demon Wall be the showstopper?
Trap Doors if I remember can have their insta-death attack reflected back at them.
@@godknightomega Do you have an easy way to reflect with only Cecil, though?
@@ace-trainer-ajYou can use a Light Curtain or Lunar Curtain, Light Curtains drop from Lamias who you can grind drops from a couple of ways before the Sealed Cave
@@ace-trainer-aj
Easy?
No.
But there's an item that you can farm that gives Reflect on use.
That's what you get for skipping cutscenes in FFXIV, all their names are said aloud there 😁
The rule: kill all other party members befor fighting
Is dumb... I don't like it. Especially if all of the characters were forced to heal...
😎👍👍
Isn't his name pronounced Cecil?
Bump
Kinda saw the end coming. Barbarrica requires Kain to disrupt her Tornado form. Thinking you can brute force that is simply foolish.
