Cracking review again Chris. That’s some kit that is. The lowest setting is more than enough for general stuff inside the tent and lasts forever (nearly). Beats my Biolite head torch that’s for sure.
The smaller one is NOT the spot. That is the larger one. The smaller one is the floodlight. Look at the diagram on the switch. The bigger one has a narrow beam one the diagram. You get it right when you demo it towards the end of the video! It is a great light.
That looks like a great headtorch. I have an Olight monster and I find it is a bit too bulky above my forehead. The Fenix looks well balanced somehow. Good review Chris, thanks.
Good review Chris. Is there any magnets on it at all??? My Olight prerun is great but the stupid magnet on the base has demagnetiser my compass when I really needed it.
@@FenixLightOfficial hi guys, as Chris has said, headtorches with magnetic bases can interfere with compasses. I guess if you keep them apart in your rucksack it's not an issue, however my Silva type 4 suffered reverse polarity as I put my headtorch next to compass in my rucksack lid by mistake during a storm. South becomes North and vice versa. Pretty dangerous in the mist at altitude. I primarily use GPS so noticed while doing a belt and braces check. Might be worth while considering when offering outdoor torches to mountain walkers. thanks for responding though 👍
Looks like a good bit of kit that Chris if you need them lumens for me its a bit over kill I settled for a Black Diamond for winter camping 5 days at 6 lumens and 350 lumen max + if you get stuck can fit AAAs into it Your review video's always give food for thought and are informative as can be BACK up by Amazon 😂
Caving torch isn't it? very bright light, the middle strap is uncomfortable for me but may not have adjusted it properly.. the instructions drive me mad but my fault probably, thanku mate👍👏
Not sure mate, I know it can be used for that and some MRT use them too - I didn't spend too long on the instructions 😅 try it and work it out later. Genuinely the best headtorch I have.
Evening mate, kicking bit of gear mate. Looking very useful for a walk in woods or wildcamping. Thanks for sharing buddy. What was the gloves you are using in the video??
12 and a half days........what do you mean exactly Chris ? Do you mean nights ??? Sounds awesome but id dont use a torch in the day mate :):):) Roughly speaking do you mean you have used it on a 12 dayer ??? Whats that battery like in the colder temps ??? I like the fact thats its a solid water proof bit of kit and looks like it could take a bit af a hammering too. I have had torches fail on me in the rain before and they were supposed to be made for it and i have had battery issues with a few of the petzle ones that i have managed to fix when i got back home but the battery life just seemed to rapidly deteriorate so these days i always take two head torches with me just to be on tha safe side....Great review
Haha, 300 hours then 😅 It lasts a long time - in terms of colder temps, we will see. I store mine in an insulated pouch when not using just to keep as much power preserved as possible. Great bit of kit, was lucky to be sent it mate.
@@MCMOutdoors Wow that is super impressive....i am just keeping you on your toes Chris but i think i might actually invest in one of these after seeing this .....Do you know what shops they are in ?
That’s another £99 I’ve just spent (theoretically) Chris😜 That’s more than I paid for my Vango tent you reviewed and Approved🙈 I would love it obviously as I do need one but a Good Sleeping Mat and decent Sleeping Bag is on my Xmas wish list first🙏 Cracking review Chris as usual with all points and Features covered. Must admit I’m Pining for one🙈 #Christheenabler 😂
Have you actually tested run tines I did and not true 400 lumens on spotlight mode lasted 4 hours not 22 an sending mine back totally untrue run times on box don't buy one

Nice one Joe - cracking bit of kit mate! ATB 👍
Just ordered one - I can't wait to get it
Great choice - you won't be disappointed
Excellent bit of kit. I was just about to buy an Olight but not anymore. Great Review Chris. Thanks, Paul
Thanks Paul! ATB
Thanks for a great review. I'm going to buy one now!
Throws some decent light out!

I know mate, I realised when I watched it back - slip of the tongue. Yes, brilliant light. Can't think why anyone would need anything else 👍
Hi Chris, Great review on your new head torch 😊💝🏴 xxxxxx
Thanks for watching Paula, great bit of kit 👍

Hi Chris, appreciate your open and honest reviews 😊👍
Hi, thanks - boring video unless you want the torch I guess 👍

No such thing as boring video!
It is bloody decent that Chris, I can tell its quality. Thanks for the review pal 👍

I don't think so mate, magnet free!
The HM61R has a magnetic tail.
.
He wants to avoid magnets as they interfere with the compass 👌👍

@@mountain_del1863 Thanks for the feedback. It is a piece of really useful advice. We also have headtorches without magnetic bases.

Thanks Andy, they're a very old pair of mountain equipment wind stopper gloves - had them many years 👍
@@MCMOutdoors thanks for the feedback chirs
The spotlight mode doesn't last 12 days, it's the floodlight that does. Great review though, just bought one on the back of it.
He says "floodlight" at about 6:45, then mistakenly says "spotlight" at about 8:00, but corrects himself with a graphic on the screen.
