As a 25+ year IT guy, I prefer the smaller foot print. I have so much tech that it feels liberating carrying my new Flip 3. I have had tons of phones both fruit and robot, and this little gem is a thing of beauty. The battery issue may be a problem for some, but I use mine as my daily driver, and it suits my needs. My day starts at 7am and ends roughly 7pm...I am usually at 45% battery life by then. I have a charger at my desk, in my car, and on my night stand, so I am not worried about a dead phone....that has never happened to me no matter what device I carry.

I recently got the zflip3 after debating. There is just something about it, you have to use one to understand. It is hands down my favorite phone of any I've owned. I never notice the crease visually and I actually like the feel of it..weird I know. I love holding it when it's closed too, feels like holding a deck of cards lol. The only issue I had at first was the length. It is a tall phone and I have small woman hands so felt like it was top heavy and going to fall out of my hand but after using it for a week that is no longer an issue, you get used to the feel and adapt the way you hold it, putting a case that is textured helps too. Overall any drawbacks like battery, crease or camera are definitely out weighed by the joy of using this phone. I have never loved a phone like I do the flip3.
@tatsuiyamabuchi2633 the camera isn't great. I like the night pictures it takes and the quality is fine if you don't need to zoom. Fine for selfies that kinda thing but the zoom is definitely a weak spot. Pictures look quite pixely the more you zoom (if that makes sense idk). This is for the zflip3 mind you. The flip 4 is out now so I dunno about its camera. I assume they improved it in some way as it's definitely one of the flips weak spots. Battery and camera.
I have had my Z Flip 3 for a month now, still love it! I got the matt black version. Not a fingerprint magnet at all!!!!!!! Please stop saying that just because the colour version you tried IS a fingerprint magnet...lol There are options ya know! I only like one colour for my phones - BLACK! So I naturally went with their black Z Flip 3 which is only matt black. It is what it is. No fingerprints all over the back which is glorious! But, the folded screen is a dust magnet! Thankfully, it is protected while folded up. I wish the thing had a headphone jack, SD slot/512gb option and more functionality out of the box for the cover screen! (You can hack that cover screen to open ANY normal app with FULL functionality by using the tricks via the health app being used on the cover screen p research this yourself if you wish to try it out......)
Love my z flip 3 but I've had to turn so much off in teh settings to save battery just to get late afternoon without it dying 😬 which is kinda pointless having a phone like the flip and you can't use some of the features.
I had the Z flip 3 for 2 weeks and sent back and got the S21 Ultra instead. Far better than the Flip. Once the excitement of having a flip phone wears off it is lacking a lot in most areas. Do not get the flip if you are a heavy user because the battery is crap! Really bad
After reading the comments I will be the one on the opposite side. Just upgraded from Galaxy s10 to Z Flip3 and I regret it. Flip is too big, but that's not the biggest issue as I knew how big it is, but in every day use you will recognize it more... Battery just straight up sucks compared to S10. Overheating is on a daily basis even during the smallest tasks. Also I cannot believe how annoying it is to constantly open the phone for anything. Outer display is good for knowing the time, that's all (even though you can have that on a regular phone with AOD too). So I'm waiting what S22 will offer on January/February and I will change it for that asap. If the S22 won't sound good to me, I will sell the Flip and buy S21.

Even the ratios of phone feels off... While the s21 looks more broad and short in length if looks more cinematic to reach any movies in for to frame mode... While the z flip 3 is very long in length and short in worth I think watching movies would be a nightmare in it... Because it won't fot thr full frame... I've never had one so idk... But is it really like that? What do you think?
It’s actually amazing to watch movies in. Reebelo had a glitch in its pricing with the z flip 3 n I was able to snag a refurbished one in excellent condition for 35usd. I tried getting a couple more for my fam but they caught on n cancelled my order but at least I got 1. Keep ur eyes out I’ve seen them have that glitch multiple times now
I'm shocked by your battery life on your s21. Mine gets ATLEAST 7 -10 screen on time. I actually exchanged 2 s21 handsets because they were only getting 6 hours screen on time and I guess third times is the charm because my battery life is good
Yes. Compared to last generation's z flip, the screen no longer feels soft, and you can't easily scratch it anymore. However, it still won't be as strong as typical gorilla glass. Watch jerryrigeverything's scratch test. It's quite close in strength.
i loved my flip 3, but i'm very clumsy and lose my phone a lot. i found a spot on my motorcycle where i can stash it while it's folded. that was convenient and all, but i hit a huge bump going uphill, my flip 3 went flying, got ran over by several cars by the time i found it. i just bought a s21 as my replacement. the camera on the flip 3 sucks, it can't zoom in as much as the S21 can for Moon shots. that's why i got it instead of the flip 3 this time, and i won't think like a moron and decide to put my phone in dumb places while it's folded
for some reason the black is my least favorite, the edges aren't defined bcz the colors are blended in, i got the white not cream , and i love how the costume colors have black frames that define duality of the phones parts
The feel and the height of galaxy z flip 3 is sooooo good when I felt in my hand it felt so grippy as I was able to just use it with my one hand. I just dont know I feel thay its taller than all phone feels.
I am goimg to disagree with whay you said with the battery. For the z flip3, maybe it lasts around 3 to 4 hours but the s21, no chance. I actually use a s21+ and usually play games and watch youtube and one time it lasted for 6 to 5 hours. Once, I wanted to see how long my s21+ would last and it lasted to 7 hours on screen time. So in my opinion, the s21 can last about 6 hours for on screen time. So yeah. And also, i have no idea what to do whrn upgrading my s21+. I am thinking for the flip. But i am not to sure if I shpuld just continue with the s series or buy the flip or fold series.
Flip is lacking in a lot of areas... It is good for people who use it for fun and for a smaller amount of time. But as your joy is over, you get bored with its hinge and opening it each time. I suggest you go with S21. Best compact and full of performance phone of all time.
Get the z flip4 the battery is 3700MP and last 31hrs between charging with 5hrs . It also has fast charging 25 W So only takes 1hr and a half to charge.
@@NovaBoiSlayerz flip 4 is lower in terms of quality, the reviews on the Samsung page support its screen for less than a year and if the flip 3 has better screen durability but less battery and processor, the rest is the same, the flip 3 has a better rating than the 4 check it out for yourself on the google and samsung page

The battery life is what is holding me back getting the zflip instead. I actually ended up only paying 300 for my s21 and it's fully unlocked so if I trade it in for the zflip I'll have to finance it for 2 years and be locked on contract. What is the battery life like on your zflip usually? I know it doesn't have dex but I heard another youtuber say it can't even screen mirror..is that true?

I have the z flip and after about a 1yr 1/2 the middle part started to crack :/ so I'm looking to upgrade my phone i really love my flip but I want a phone that can last atleast 2 years so I wonder if the z flip 3 is more durable 🥲

Can't you just keep the phone open then until you need to close it? (If opening it is such a big annoyance)

Yes but it's pretty fragile, a scratch with a nail will be visible. There are screen protectors thankfully

As a guy I would rather have the Z Flip. That fits in my pocket easier than having a great large cell phone.

well since you can't fold glass, it's a plastic screen for the flip 3. s21 uses your typical glass screen

It would be a downgrade considering the specs. The only thing new you will get is the flip factor and cover screen

In my mind the zflip might have a smaller form factor but if your stuck carrying a Power bank around everywhere it defeats the purpose.
