I finally made the switch. I'm using the Z Flip 3 as my daily driver and don't plan on switching anytime soon.

@@zahidborbhuyan6541 I'm not glued to my phone. If youre someone who doesn't have a job and is on their phone 24/7 it might not be enough battery for you. Or if your job requires you be on your phone all day long it might not be enough. If you're a casual user it's plenty.
As soon as I saw that at&t was giving away the z flip 3 upon eligible trade in and sign up, I instantly traded in my S20. I've had the flip for almost a full day now and I'm absolutely loving it! It really turns heads when you casually flip the phone open in public. Battery life is awesome and the screen does a good job at hiding the crease as well. Not to mention that running your hand over the crease is also pretty satisfying as well.
Its great! I saw that best buy was having a trade in deal for an unlocked so I traded in an iphone 8 plus and 6 plus to get it half off.
Is the battery life equal to the 20?
@@maroesjadejong4204 after having it for a full four months now, I would say the battery life isn't terrible but it's not as good as my old S20.

I have the black 256GB, and it rocks across the board. I think the S21 is, without a doubt, still Samsung's head honcho for heavy users, but the Z Flip 3 is for the rest of us casual users. Everyone obviously is hyped about the folding screen, but the screen itself is great. Blacks are super deep black, it's flat and thin without the curved edges like the S10, and the 120ghz refresh rate makes scrolling smooth af.
The battery life is fine if you're moderately using the phone and not spending every waking moment staring at the screen like an anti-social nerd.
Samsung hit on something special here. I won't be surprised if this phone takes off and sells like crazy.
Are there some Good launchers available for the z flip?
@@adamlhotak8180 I'm not sure. I haven't bothered with custom launchers since the old HTC days. Samsung's One UI is light years ahead of their old TouchWiz trash. I'd even go so far as to say it's one of the best, if not the best, Android UI out there right now.

I love my phone, I can do tons of different things on it, leave us beeeee.
Was waiting on pixel 6 pro to finally upgrade from pie 4 xl. Instead took a change and got me a flip 3 and I'm really enjoying what samsung has done with their version of Android and I wanted to try a foldable as a main phone.
Great review. I've never been a fan of huge screen phones, seems counter-productive to lug a huge phone/screen around (which is why old cell phones were small in the first place), so the Z Flip 3 performs perfectly in this venue. I'm upgrading from a Galaxy S10e so the ZF3 out performs on every level.
i feel just as strongly about the Flip 3 as you do. It's cool, functional, and yes...a fashion statement. Your phone says a lot about you, kinda' like the car you drive. I really appreciate it's portability, the fast scrolling, the new larger cover screen, and the stereo speakers! I absolutely love it! And the fact that it folds and fits into my pocket is icing on the cake, man. I don't care about the crease cause it's not really noticeable unless you're looking for it. When i scroll it's like it's not even there.

i kinda got worried about the battery at first but as the days go by it kinda optimizes the battery usage according to my habits. I charge it by 10 pm in the evening, went to work the next day by 7am and later by 8pm (22H) i still have 28%. So i guess it’s really a SMART ass phone. lol
Will get my flip on Friday ~ so excited!

@@bryantan7135 I’m from India, actually samsung phones are manufactured here so maybe that’s y delivery is faster..
Also, many people here have ready gotten their phones, but I Pre ordered late and the so delivery date was pushed to 12th sept. (Otherwise it would have been even faster).
And samsung got way more orders than it anticipated so there is “limited stock” but higher demand issue as well, due to which deliveries are getting pushed further!

Just a heads up if you trade to your carrier not sure which country you're in but in the US AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile have a $1000 credit offer for eligible phones including likely the s21 etc. I was able to trade in my V60 I paid $400 for new and got $1000 trade in credit to get the 256gb Flip 3 for like $1 ish a month with AT&T.

I love mine. I still get hate from iPhone users saying "my phone is better" and some iPhone users are intrigued and thought about switching. I love mine but I wish they would make more cases for it!
How's your Battery Life coming along with daily "average" usage? Im especially curious if you aren't "compromising" with any features such as Screen Refresh Rate downgrade or Turning off features etc.
I've gone about a day and a half on one charge, with heavy use it can still last a full day. Also it doesn't compromise and lose anything. 120hz refresh rate ect.

I've only had the one die on me once since I got it a week ago. I've changed some stuff in the settings and turned off double tap to wake and things of that nature that I don't need or find annoying. Was having the cover screen turn on in my pocket constantly now I'm getting all day battery life easily with 4-5 of SOT with 18 hours off the charge.
I use Amazon Music, Spotify and UA-cam. Are the songs/videos skip-able from smaller screen when folded?
Yep! I use UA-cam music and the UA-cam app and the smaller screen does work with those apps!

@@emilierrendellerud4365 I did it and I am fine. But it depends on how much you value S Pen, DeX and those powerful zoom (scumbag zoom as Flossy would call it) cameras...I absolutely love this new flip form factor and I overlook everything else
@@emilierrendellerud4365 I think it's totally worth it! I wasn't using the s-pen much and saw the great trade-in value for it. Couldn't pass it up! Camera not as good, but still quite worthy! Battery works for me, but I don't play games much, just a heavy social media user. Still lovin it!

1k for a foldable isn't bad. You can get a Razr 5g for around 4-500 though.

I have had mine for a week. It's a great phone, just one thing.... It is a battery hog. I watched a UA-cam video on how to fix the drain. Now it's perfect. It has a ton of things running that you must shut off to enjoy the phone all day without a charger. Get the case with the ring! I put my index finger in the ring for perfect one hand operation.

I have an s21. I was so keen for this flip phone and am still really on the fence about it. I use my phone so much and have heard nothing but bad things about the battery. Also the no Dex thing is pretty big for me, I would use Dex for non work purposes maybe 5 times a week. It's a pity this phone doesn't have just those little bit better specs / functions as I would be there with u all in a second!!
Same here. I'm thinking about upgrading my phone to a Galaxy and I'm settling for a Galaxy S21 Ultra. I love the Flip 3 but like you said, the battery life isn't great but it's stepping to a right direction for future flip phones which I'm excited for!

I have scanned through a dozen videos about the rzr and flip 3 phones..NO ONE has showed how texting is on the screen .We get it , it folds....I'm just curious if the hinge comes into effect when typing . If some one finds one send me the link . Thanks
The keyboard falls below the crease assuming you're talking about texting in portrait..? So it shouldn't affect anything

@@Taka-nq3ys same. I upgraded from an iPhoneX to flip3. After a week of use I still like it. Lol u'll be surprised about it's features if you're used to ios, this phone does a lot from customizing the phone to controlling ur appliances at home (if u also use samsung). Others complain about the battery but it's fine with me. Mine lasts up to 10hrs after a full battery charge.

@@franz1094 I've watched a lot of reviews and it seems like iphone X battery is similar to z flip 3, so I guess I'm not spoiled for the battery life, it's still consider an upgrade from iphone X to Z flip 3. I have been wanting to change to android for its customization. Pre ordered few days ago, can't wait for it to be here end of this month.

Yes it does. You can even play games on the front cover screen, you’ll just have to setup Spotify to your widget.

@@arielf7925 yes any music or audio that is playing will show up on the front, with limitations though, you as of now you cant look through your song list without opening the phone but you can play pause and skip tracks
You should double tap the the top of the phone in the back at the black screen on the back. Also close it and double tap the power button. Double tap the screen and swipe left and right to access notifications set alarms choose your music and more!

Does this phone heat up?
I saw the phone model at the mall, and its kinda hot to touch literally. Salesman said its coz it was on charge all day. But the mall is airconditioned. Im worried it might have heating issues
probably because it's on charge all day and loads of people use it anc check it out hence the heating :)
I have this phone it's amazing the crease isn't as bad and is further up then you think so your finger doesn't go over it when scrolling the battery isn't as bad as people made it out to be the cover screen on the front is amazing for notification reads too which is nice so you don't feel like you're sucked into your phone when just checking the time or a message. I got it after my note 10 plus died and the faster 120 fps and 5g speed is amazing also the smaller more pocket able size while not losing any screen size is a huge benefit. The brightness on this phone is extreme 3/4 of the way up with the eye comfort shiled on otherwise your eyes will burn out lol.
The camera quality is so good it converted the picture to a pdf file when I sent it in messenger because of how high the resolution is lol.
All in all if you are tempted to buy it don't hesitate it's well worth it. Mine is in green and it's turning heads everywhere I go!

Advisable? Hard to tell. What I can tell is I traded my Note 20 Ultra for S21 Ultra only to exchange it for Flip 3. The idea of flipping it open for calls and shut close to end the call feels so nostalgic
the honeymoon phase for this phone didnt even apply to me bc i just wanted to try it out and at first i wasnt sure bc i was switching from apple but the more i use it the more i like it

Your choice I mean the note 9 is old and this has new tech
I'd say depends, just be mindful that although this is a great and cool phone with new features, it doesn't have:
-MST
-DEX
-Headphone Jack
-Expandable memory
-S pen (but I think it should be compatible?)
-Has smaller battery
To name a few, which is really sad.
These were some of the reasons I was on the fence on getting the Flip3, but I got it anyway and I love it. It'll just require some sacrifices on features you might be used to, moving from Note to Flip. If you're not heavily dependent on the features listed above, I say the switch is worth it 😉

@@MTGProductions The only thing that makes me want to hold onto my S21 is the third camera whereas the flip has two. And the S21 has Directors View. Not sure if the Flip has that feature.

I switched from the S21 Ultra to the Z Flip3 and love it. I was able to trade in my S21 Ultra and get the Flip3 for free. It's an awesome phone and I really enjoy it. I don't think I'll be going back to a non-foldable phone anytime soon.
What about battery life
@@thevirgoan Battery life has been better than expected actually, but I'm not on my phone all day either. I also don't do much social media, and no gaming. I keep the phone plugged in my car when I travel for Android auto so battery life isn't a problem. Could I make it a full day totally unplugged? Maybe, but that situation is extremely rare for me.

@@thevirgoan I use my Flip 3 to check social media throughout the day without recharging, and the battery lasts at least 15-20 hours. It's more if I'm busy doing non-phone errands. I do UA-cam (like I'm doing now) as well, etc. Granted, if you're the type who likes to spend a lot more time on the phone, you'll obviously drain the battery.
I'd say the battery life is middle of the road and fine. We shouldn't be spending so much time on it anyway. Close it and go out and enjoy life more without it. 😎

If you're speaking of the regular s21; if you were to trade it in for the galaxy z flip 3, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I know we're all different, but I definitely love mine over the s21.
By the way, that's exactly what I did; traded my s21 for the flip.

I have an iPhone XS and even my iPhone se 2020 that very rarely even freeze. The flip freezes everyday I use it):. I’m a delivery driver and I use this for work, I use 3 apps and run one at a time and it can’t handle it. I have to have my iPhone with me just in case ):. I don’t even play games on it at all. Strictly for work
I buy the latest technology. However, I have been hesitant on a 5G phone. Well, I found the latest phones from iPhone and Samsung were too heavy and large. The Z was the shining light. It folds into a smaller size but when opened is pretty big. Even though the cost is $1000, it's worth the money.
Don't forget, it's not just a phone but it's a computer, GPS, camera (still and video)
A voice recorder, and many other devices.
So, the Z is worth EVERY penny!
Thanks for the video .... But literally, you did not mention anything about your experience with this device within a week. All the fact you support your idea of switching from the previous phone to a new Z flip 3 is based on your desired look into a device that gets fold and nothing else. You could at least talk about your experience with the battery, which is the main bottleneck for this phone!!

Yes, that phone is a truly great foldable phone. Regrettably, especially at its price point of around $1,000; Samsung made two missteps--(a) a non-replaceable battery, and (b) a printable User Manual--marred by not having an Index. (At the very least a return card should have been provided for Samsung to mail you a copy.)

Cameras are decent
I've seen many people saying its not and others saying it is the same, but honestly, I've used both and the Flip 3 isn't bad. Granted, I don't expect too much myself from a phone camera, but I will be putting out a video of the S21 vs the Flip 3 soon!
