The small paracord bowl could be used as a temporary bird nest. If you find a young bird out of a nest that you cant reach to put it back, you could make a bowl and put it up where you can reach so that the parents can care for it.
Less time each time I make it! I'm not sure how long it took in this video, but I would estimate 30-60 minutes for the entire knot if it's your first time.
It's been a while since we made this one, but I believe it was about 25ft for a 7-8 inch bowl. You will need more cord to tie the knot than you will for the final tightened-down bowl.
@@ParacordPlanet Much appreciated!! I was in Mystic, CT, last weekend and saw a few bowls at Mystic Knotworks. I have only ever done this by accident, so it was a revelation to think of making one on purpose!
Our bad! It's been a while, but I believe it was about 25 feet of rope for a 7 to 8 inch bowl. We know it sounds like a lot, but you'll want some slack while tying the knots before tightening them up to form the bowl.
"And we'll just continue on until we make it all the way through" ??? Maybe I just don't know rope tying jargon, but there's no way I could repeat what you're doing. I'm not being critical, this is meant to be constructive. You've got to assume your audience knows nothing! Becareful that you're not sentences that you know what they mean, but don't really convey a complete thought. Here I'm trying to explain what I mean and I'm doing a worse job than you did! Hehe but don't forget your audience doesn't know nearly as much as you. Thanks for considering my thoughts. Hehe hand needle, as apposed to a foot needle? 😉😉😉😉 just teasing ya there! 😉🙂🤟
Great video but left me wondering what is the length of rope that you used?
Thank you for this tutorial. I will have a go at making one!😀
Thanks for watching. Good luck with the project!
Looks fun to tie. Functional too.

That’s a neat bowl. I love making Turks head knots so I might have to make a bowl now
What's the length of the rope that you are using?
What is the rope length at the beginning ?
What size rope is this?
How much rope to make the bowl please?
Hi - Important question - how long did the timelapse section actually take? thank you!

This is great! How long was your piece of rope, compared to the final diameter of the bowl?

Oh, nice! They do some beautiful work. I would love to visit in person.
How long was the rope? He does not mention the length?

Hey, thanks for the feedback! It is easy to forget that some people are beginners. We'll do our best not to leave anyone behind. 😀
Oh my, that muzak is so last century. Not at all pleasant.
