Got my Heybike last year. It has seriously been one of the best investments I've made. As a person with epilepsy, this bike has given me back freedom. Glad to see them sponsoring you TJ
April is just the cutest. Don't worry about the mistakes, it's what you are supposed to do to learn! I've had my fair share of failures, and that's where some of the best memories come from.
I don't know about the one's down there, but the Army/Navy Surplus Stores out here absolutely everything you need to go fishing and camping. Never seen one used in for a challenge.
Really? What's so great about or country? Crushing national debt, highest poverty rate in US history, 13th in education, 16th in science, Around one in every 500 Americans was experiencing homelessness in January 2023.Americans starving, struggling to put food on the table even though they are working 2 and 3 jobs. The Military doesn't make our country great. Our vets protect our country and keep it safe. Politicians screw it up more and more every day.
Awesome video, Yak. April did a fantastic job at gathering what you needed for this challenge. I would love to see more videos like this one. I love your content. Keep it up. Can't wait for the next video.
@FishingWithYakPak when I was a kid we always made cane poles to fish in the creek find a 8 to 10 foot green tree that's sturdy but flexible and you tie the line to the small end and you want line that's long as the pole plus a foot or so would love to see you catch something like that keep up the good work❤
I usually put a tarp over the tent. Because even the best tents seem to leak when it rains. It also adds more insulation and shade. Having a tarp under helps with comfort too but not as much as having it over the tent. And another nice thing is those foam flooring squares that lock together like puzzle pieces 🧩 they especially help when ice fishing/camping. Another thing you can do with a tarp and para cord is hang it in the trees over a picnic area like an awning for shelter/shade. Verrry nice. 👍🏼
This was a funny video, when I saw DG camping gear I knew I was in for a great video. I just started my camping videos talking about mens mental health but you guys did it right. You went out with people you care about and just sent it and thats what its all about! Because of the lack on knowledge camping you make a great life time memory! Keep it up you two!!!
TJ thats how I learnt on my own no UA-cam and yall did rite by getting tarp for the tent to set on to protect the bottom. Keep going out and trying to the hang of camping. I miss camping and exploring my state due my health. Tasha of Michigan 💜👑
Fellow UA-camr here great video and be careful definitely open cans just a little bit so they don't explode if you got a few green leafs to pick it out of the fire with
I think y'all figured out the camping thing just fine, it's ultimately about having a good time in nature with the people you're with and you nailed that part.
If you leave her, we’re going to the fields again hoss. She’s what we all are searching for. True happiness. I know everyday isn’t perfect but you struck gold and platinum with April.
I remember roughing it as well. I did desert survival, and it was similar we just covered up. I camp a lot with my family we bring a decent amount of stuff, but when it's just me, I'll bring an instant tent and some core items and that's it.
For the hand wind fishing thing.... yes the stick works, but might I suggest something a little smoother, like that can of beef stew, or a water bottle,,, something like that...
You 2 are cute! Did pretty good for supplies shopping April! Just remember Drinking Water & breakfast foods and hygiene products like hand wipes & maybe a bucket for washing up. Tongs for grabbing cans. Chairs too. Otherwise looks like you did pretty good for first timers! 👍😊
Good to see April getting used to the camera ! Good job April one of the best ones yet y’all ! That’s awesome you both get out and do things like this. Keep it up you two love the videos
I love this one! That’s wild that y’all got a dang tent at DG! Not only that, pretty much a complete camping set up, excuse me while I run down to the dollar store 😂
TJ wants... April wants.... its funny that you filmed each other in the opening segment hahaha TJ sees... April sees.... lol you can see each other in reflections
LOL I am 17 mins in and loving the many levels of OMG and CRINGE and AWESOME combined (we dont have DG stores here). Loving this adventure for sure. HAHA YES you guys NEED to PART TWO on this !!!! Ok so, suggestions are good. The back packs of gear for recording aside, those E-Bikes have a solid looking rear rack, I would look for a container box or barrel that can be secured on there that is manageable when riding. What you put IN those is up to you but that would be me standing there in the DG parking lot happy-laughing at your "were gonna do" and say to you "son, how are you gointo get those little plastic bag three mile to the wood?" suggestion :D
YAKPRIL a truly AWESOME video yall. Need to do another one get some Dock runner combos . To use the DG lures .. Yak you and April make an awesome team and how yall keep it real and just enjoy the outdoors. I’m just gonna say it since you left the I not saying ( the name) but seems you have found your place and seem a lot happier . Yak and April aka YAKPRIL yall stay safe and Keep doing what yall do and Keep’em coming
You also want to crack that can open a little bit before you put it in the fire. When you heat them up with the lid closed they tend to go boom when you open them😊
Girl with a country accent and only ever camped in a camper is crazy love the vidjas tho yakpak keep up the good work! Yall got the best dynamic glad you got to change her only ever glamping lol! Also I love the gengar tat man didn’t know you were a Pokémon guy
This looked like a good time, and you definitely got a couple good lessons learned. Since you've asked for tips, I've got a couple that you don't want to learn the hard way. Random question, what were you drinking? It's hot out there, and you seem pretty active. Stay hydrated y'all 👍 Anyways, for hygiene 'camp soap' is definitely a thing. Look for "Campsuds" or "Dr Bronner's". They're multipurpose and can be used for yourself as well as for clothing and dishes. Definitely keep it 200 feet away from water sources though, they're not good for aquatic life. Use a pot or bucket of some sort to get water away from the source. Alternatively, use wipes and hand sanitizer for yourself. And of course pack your garbage out. Less critical, those plastic mesh bags that come on some fruit makes an excellent dish cloth. Free and lightweight. If you end up getting expensive gear, or gear you care about anyways, you might consider switching from DEET to Picaridin. DEET can dissolve some synthetics/plastics (rayon, spandex, vinyl, etc). Keep a small first aid kit handy. A simple slip with a blade or a minor burn is much better when you can clean and protect the wound. Lastly, do a daily check for ticks. Check each other or use your phone camera for the rarely lit humid bits that they love. Lyme disease and Alpha-Gal syndrome are no joke.
next time u do some creek camping look about for some large stones and remember some heat proof gloves so you dont burn ya hands, keep up the great content guys
Good times. That unopened can on the fire reminded me of a guy that tried to cook ravioli on our tank...3rd degree face burns when that thing went of! f
Get some hand sanitizer and a lighter ( or flint and steel if you bout that life) but the sanitizer burns slow. Also gradually increase stick size starting with the pencil thin then finger size bigger and bigger till u can throw log size wood on
@FishingWithYakPak I'm glad you two were able to get out and enjoy nature together, and some time away from the kids. I know parents love their kids and hate being away from them, but it is so important to be able to spend time together and focus on your relationship and bonding outside of parenthood. You two seem so happy together and it shows. blessings to both of you, here's to many more adventures ahead and years of happiness. cheers and keep the videos coming... as long as youtube doesn't get in the way. your beautiful wife and children will always be first priority, and anyone that doesn't understand that isn't worth listening to.
It isn't a chemical liner. That is a urban myth. Always use a non - pop top can. Remove the paper keep track of the seam that's the only plastic (the adhesive) and cook on the coals not in the fire, remove and shake the can every five ish min. When the can feels warm after shaking it is done. Been doing this for almost 4 decades.
Dude! You need to dig a hole to PROTECT the fire and ten you need tinder/bark and thin twigs to really ignite and then thicker branches to further intensify the fire and then add in logs once you have a solid roar. THAT is how you BUILD a fire sonnn!
i know this is a bit on the late side but a tip for cooking food in it's can, bring pliers so you can pick up the can without burning yourself. Make sure they are clean and do not use pliers with plastic or rubber hand grips because they can cause burns if the grips melt from the heat of the fire. Pliers made with metal hand grips are the safest for this.
This is awesome video thanks for sharing. I film camping out of my camper and going on hikes with my dog she is 5 months old and goes on atv rides and also goes in the raft on the lake. I really enjoyed this video I had to subscribe
Dude I love camping trust me buy n instant tent they go up in 30 sec doing Even have to take poles out. I been camping my hole life n those tents saved alot of head ache n time

@FishingWithYakPak talk the wife into camping on lake conroe in the national forest and the wife and I can show you what camping is about.
You really lucked out with April. She is a genuinely cool chick. Treat her well.
Happy wife, happy life.
She's a sweetheart...and smokin hot too!
weird comment lol
@thomasveldman3828 why is it a weird comment?
Time away from the kiddos is important! Couples need that intimate time to spend with just the two of you. Keeps your relationship strong
Take very valuable care of April ... her face says it all when she's picking out your candy.wish you both the best

Agree 100% even the pros make mistakes.
It’s funny how shy she was a while back now confident and funny, and could definitely have her own UA-cam channel
April HAS her own YT Channel, she just let's him call it "Fishing with YakPak!" 😂
@@IvIidnightthat’s exactly what my first thought was when I read the comment. 😂
I disagree. I find her annoying and quite irritating to look at. 🤷🏾♂️

Love the videos with yakpak and April
That was a Great video,As far as camping just have fun theres no right or wrong way to camp
One of the best fire starters you could use is corn chips or tortilla chips. All the oils inside make them hold a flame well.
One fellas opinion . YakPak looks a hell of a lot happier since dropping the Goon (Googan) Squad, which is all the matters
Use the bobber and a hook next time you hand line and find you a worm or insect or crawdad for bait.
You talking facts about the chilli Mac!!
Dig a lil hole to start your fire. Before putting the grate down, crisscross firewood in a square to make a level place to cook on.
Cheap rake with a wooden handle you can take off!
Rake to clean tent area and camp
Wooden pole for fishing and defense
Nice touch with the light in the tent awesome ❤❤😂😂😂
I seen a float in that kit should have tried the float and fly method
Fun video. I saw that chili mac can mishap coming though lol.

Lol i sadly have that same addiction. Something sweet before bed. I feel ya Yak!
Btw yalls DG is dope. Ours have NONE of that stuff. We dont have a section for fishing. There’s barely any cat/dog stuff
Yak pack deserves 1mill subs
She used to be so shy and now she's the show. But we all know he was recording when u were shopping so he was not surprised on what u got! 😂
never cook food in the can... especially unopened, but even an open can has a plastic lining that leeches chemicals into your food
Didn’t think about that! Good to know for future vids!

Actually most cans have a vegetable oil based lining, or a canola oil based lining
