Only for Avinash Tiwary 🤤❤️.. This actor has surpassed many of the top actors in terms of acting... Audience need to recognise new talent as only audience makes or breaks actors. He deserves more lead roles for big movies. Before he hits 40 inshAllah.
Initially I thought Dadi is a psychopath killer....she would kill the guest and she collects bodyparts in her godown..... just like in Hollywood thriller movies...😂

Dont know why it impressed the jury so much but i was impressed because the end shook me to the core. As the family in the car sped away revealing the old lady's memory problem the import of the scene, which initially I mistook as a dream sequence or a flashback, slowly dawned on me . Then as the credits started rolling with the vanishing car in the backdrop all hopes for the trapped guy vanishes too. We remember that his wife expecting next week and that his car is standing unguarded on the road. In few minutes the man had won the audience's sympathy by potraying the life of a ordinary but loving husband. Without any sound or visual clue on the fate of the poor man trapped in that window less room with iron doors you just start feeling the claustrophobia. In fact the story just started growing on you. That is impressive. Bravo!

All those people who are criticising the end and saying things like OMG, How such an 'incomplete' movie can win an award, know that there are not every story has morals. This is drama. Real drama. For instance his emergency was explained by the fact that his wife was expecting next month. Damn it! He is locked now.
The movie probably won it for the unexpected plot twist which no one could have thought about before seeing it.
By the way, would it be COMPLETE had the old lady opened the door in the morning? Happy ending. Like another cliche bollywood film.

Why are people looking for messages or morals? I don’t think art is judged by lessons. The humour doesn’t speak out too loud, just right. The one abstracted follow up of a story where nothing out of the ordinary really happened, but was still captured beautifully. Well that’s something that takes a vision!! Kudos !

Dont worry guys... There is back side door on that godown. Morning the boy open that door and he went out to his parked car. And also he got a mechanic on his way.. Then he repaired his car. And he went to his destination.. This is the good ending of this story.. Kyaa yar khamakha aap lok penic ho rahe ho.. Think positive always. 😊

I loved the film specially the bulb symbolic contain that bhaiya ready ho jao memory ka fuse ab udne vala he...and the selection of song dil ka panchi...amazing and keep making such films..

Told everything without telling much....This has actually scared me...what will happen to the poor guy..his wife is expecting...his phone battery is dead and no one to hear his voice... MY god...I wont be able to sleep thinking about the consequences..,

I wish there were subtitles for those who cannot speak or understand Hindi. I love watching the short films and these ones always capture my attention. Some I am able to catch the ending but most of them I can’t because I cannot understand. Please put subtitles on your films.
What a beautiful peace of work...Very simple, real and scary. I make short videos with a phone camera 🤣 can't afford the budget. But i believe in simple stories and intense atmosphere. That's why i liked this short film. Hats off to you guys.

Not all films have to "say" something. It's a short film so one can explore quirky subjects and subjects with a twist at the end. The director has tried to give logic as to why he'd remain stuck inside but all of it is very, very convenient. And I agree, showing all the mountains and valleys added nothing to the narrative. Just wasted time.

Hi! Loved the movie. Very well made. Loved how you kept dropping the hints in little dialogues about phone battery about to die and how door does not latch. It was totally building up to the climax. Keep doing great work 😊👍🏼.

Meaning or purpose isn't always necessary. The whole film is based on the final twist about an old woman forgetting things and for once she forgot that she's locked up the man inside the godam. It's a mediocre film really. You can see the twist coming from a mile away. A lot of time has been wasted in showcasing valleys and mountains which add nothing to the narrative.
There is a reason they are called films.
How does basing a video on a twist that is at the end justify all the incorrigible footage preceding it? Wasn't this film written?
I guess bass plot soch liya hoga, shoot karne chale gaye honge aur yeh nikaal diya. That is the only way any of this makes sense.

And agreed. The film has nothing to say and that is the problem. It does not even have proper common sense to offer.
Films that have nothing to say are merely called 'videos' and certainly should not be part of what some people call a "FILM" festival and I am not talking about any social/moral subtext here.
There was nothing of value in the narrative that this video should even be considered an entry.
And what about the logical fallacies in this short video?
1. A man leaves his car on the roadside of some place from where he is traveling himself with the intent to reach somewhere.
2. He decides to search for a place instead of waiting by for someone who would at least help him reach a mechanic.
3. Can talk to wife/gf/mom but cannot sms/whatsapp/fb a friend to help him out or send help for him?
4. DOESN'T EVEN NEED WATER AFTER SUCH A TIRING SEARCH but laughably claims to have water of his own??? WUT?
5. The old woman doesn't remember but knows the door can only be bolted on the outside.
6. The man is so stupid to let someone he just met to lock him inside some storehouse where the woman remembers rats will eat the food. BRICKS can keep a door closed from a rat.
7. What happened to the man? Are we to believe that it is okay for some dude to die because of some old lady's forgetful memory?
The only aspect this video qualifies as a film that it has given me, the audience ample to say.
Anyhow, congratulations to the people who won. Who knows what they had to compromise on, iff they had to.

Omg , I'm so worried about him, lol, for real, and I know it's a short film and all, but just the thought of what's to come to that poor guy is too much for me.
A raw attack to ones empathy.
The look and feel of the film is brilliant, something that only indie Indian filmmakers would dare to go for. The colors and the grading looks beautiful. The story was very simple and linear, and complaining about loopholes in a short film is not a wise argument.
The thing I wish was better in the film was its sound design, right from the dub to the ambient sound. I believe that this was a film which had a huge potential to convey meaning through its sound design, but it failed to take advantage of that.
Congratulations however though.

The movie isn't incomplete. If you understood he'd be stuck there because the old lady has a memory problem, then the movie is complete. You don't have show him stuck inside, yelling and screaming for help. And this movie has NO MESSAGE. Movies don't ALWAYS need to have a message. It just a subject with a twist at the end. That's a different story that the twist is hardly surprising. Very obvious and tons of time wasted establishing the landscape which adds nothing to the story.
Don't look morals everywhere. Art is abstract sometimes.
Very direct and beautiful message comes out. One should not lock the sudden surge of feelings or options that come in mind/ life as 'guest'. New feelings/opportunities,good or bad are always strange to us but we need to set them free by exploring them and not forget them to let it be lost in the dark.
