Dear diary,
Today my friend Ersan took me to the mall. There were malls in Greece too, but I never got to go. I never had the money to spend in them. Now that I have money, Ersan and I went just to hang out. I could have done that in Greece too if I knew that the mall people didn’t make you buy anything.
I am careful with my money still, so I did not buy much. However, I did buy one thing, and I think my life is changed!
Ersan persuaded me to try what Americans call a “smoothie.” It was delicious! Ersan seemed surprised that I enjoyed it so much. Apparently, he has had this drink many times and no longer is excited by them. I could drink smoothies all day I think. I even tweeted about it and all my Twitter friends seemed happy.

Today I went by myself to the mall so I could go get another smoothie. The girl making the smoothies recognized me from last time, maybe because I am so tall. I ordered the same flavor, a berry smoothie. It was just as good the second time. They are not too expensive either.

I have gone to get many smoothies in the past week. The girl at the smoothie store laughs and says I am a “regular.” Today I surprised her by ordering a different kind, a banana and strawberry smoothie. To my delight, it was just as good, or maybe even better, than the berry kind.
The girl there is cute. Maybe she could be my girlfriend.

Today a teammate told me that you can make smoothies at home using a “blender”. I have never heard of blenders before, so I went with Ersan to the mall again to buy one. Of course, we also went to the smoothie store. I was surprised when the normal girl wasn’t there, but instead, a man. When I ordered my smoothie I asked him where the girl was, and he said that it was her day off. That made me a little sad. I like seeing her.
Ersan said I have a crush on the girl. I said no but he said he could tell. I said no again but I think he’s right.
Tomorrow I will try to make smoothies at home.

I am so happy! The smoothie I made at home with strawberries was very tasty. I don’t know much about cooking but smoothies are easy to make.
Even though I can make smoothies myself now, I went again to the smoothie store so I could see that girl again. Her name is Rachel. She was glad to see me. I ordered a smoothie and drank it so she would be happy.
I think I will keep going there even though I have a blender now.

The season is almost over. It was bad to lose so many games, but my heart feels so big right now. I asked Rachel from the smoothie store to go on a date with me and she said she would love to!
Right now I am drinking my fourth smoothie today. I still can’t believe that they are so tasty. I am very glad that Americans invented them.
I should go to bed now so I am fresh for when I take Rachel to see the movie.

Me and Rachel had a fun time seeing the movie. Afterwards I told her I wanted to go to where she works so we could have smoothies, and she laughed and said she was tired of smoothies since she gets a free one every day when she works there. I told her I drink five smoothies a day and she laughed some more. It felt good to make her so happy.

Not much new is happening. Rachel is my girlfriend now. I still go to the mall every day to visit her even though we see each other often. Most of my meals are smoothies now. The team doctors say I need more balance in my diet but they’re wrong. I love smoothies.

Today I might have made a mistake. We had team practice but I was too busy making smoothies and I forgot. Actually, Ersan called me fifteen minutes before it started, and then I remembered, but I decided that I wanted to drink smoothies instead. Later Jason Kidd called me and told me it should not happen again. I promised him it wouldn’t.
Rachel is a little concerned about how many smoothies I drink. Sometimes we fight, but I think I love her, so I try to hide the smoothies when she comes over.

This morning I started making smoothies. Since a while ago I bought more blenders so I can combine all my smoothies into one. Then something happened and I don’t remember anything from the whole time. I woke up on my sofa with smoothie all over me. In my phone there were angry texts saying I missed the preseason game and that I was suspended.
To make me feel better I licked the smoothie off me and made another smoothie.

Rachel and I had a big fight and she’s not my girlfriend anymore. She said that I don’t care about her and that I only like smoothies. I don’t go to the smoothie store in the mall anymore.

I don’t remember anything about the past few days. Jason Kidd said I was in jail for robbing the smoothie store and that I’m suspended for a month. When I got back home all my blenders were gone. I started crying real hard. I just want a smoothie.
