Refs tend to not call on double dribbling or travels when it’s an open, fast break and it’s Giannis- they’re also easy on superstars

It also wasn't a travel. Gather step as the ball comes up from the dribble does not count towards the final count of steps. He then takes 2 steps, first from just inside the 3pt line, and then the 2nd step is just inside the free throw line. His steps are so long he makes it look like a travel. Just explaining though per the NBA rule book. If anything you can maybe call a travel on him on the actual steal because he takes 2 running steps before the ball hits the ground on the dribble. I would say that's a travel but the NBA refs never seem to call that on any player.

@@mbayadji He's 6'11". It would require a 37"+ vertical for his head to be at or above the rim. Sorry, but most of his most impressive dunks only demonstrate his rediculous arm length. He can't get off the floor like Spud Webb as you seem to think superfan #1.

@@mbayadji Oh, I never did respond to your assertion that I have no hops and therefore don't know what I'm talking about. I'm 50 yrs old now, but in the early 90's my vertical was measured at exactly 40 inches. I'm only 5'11, but could pull off a few basic show dunks if wide open on a break. (backscratcher, pump reverse etc) I was a two foot leaper. Think Mac Mcclung, just better looking 😉

@@mbayadji I didn't. I had great handles, but no jump shot whatsoever and I didn't learn to pass the damn ball unselfishly until I was about 25 years old. That's what I get for growing up in Atlanta with Dominique as my idol when I should have been trying to imitate John Stockton or Isiah Thomas. Took me a while to realize at 5'11 I'm not going to be an NBA small forward dunking on everybody. Kept waiting for that late growth spurt though!
