- I've been long time asked on how to change the steering wheel emblem color, and while i've always had an answer i've never actually done it myself. A quick, easy and cheap modification to spice up that one underrated piece of interior chrome.

Certain nail polish top coats are self leveling meaning they will smooth any imperfections in the coats below it out. They also make nail polish in matte or you can get a mattifying top coat if shiny not your thing

@@sarahobrien3379 I would check the spark plugs and run a small amount of cleaner through it.
Might just need a small tune up honestly.
Tip: use a very small fine point paint brush !

Use UV Gel Polish and a Paint brush.
Can remove any excess then once satisfied use a UV light to harden. Top coat, UV again and your good.

Just got a M3 and my emblem is peeled a bit. I'm thinking I might try using the Duplicolor paint code for my exterior color (Crimson mica)and just paint the emblem with that...pull the design through to the interior a bit.
Hey do you think nail polish like you used would also work on a small chrome dodge name plate badge on the front grill of a dodge durango?

Hey, a little off topic but; do you know if the front tow hook size on the 2014 Mazda 3 is the same as a 2007 Mazda 3? I’m looking for a tow hook license plate holder but I can only find ones for 2014 and up and I’m wondering if it would fit my 2007.

A paint pen might be a better option
You might be right. I might try a chrome pen paint but is it easy to remove if you don't like the result? 🤔

I did this to my mazda a while back. The nail polish stinks for a while but goes away after a day.
I did the headliner at the same time, spanked a smelly in the vent & she smells good!

You're not wrong, I did matte on my other sedan. However, plans to change things into piano black for the future, so it should end up blending!
They sell matte top coat.. it would help
