With the former Harbinger being Mother and now Arlecchino being the Father, that is just brilliant.

In some ways, it can be considered a good balance, I like that
Yeah the reason is to Arlecchino being a mother shows cruelty but comfortably and lovingly however her manner being a father means benevolence and care but in a strict and unfeeling manner as she said
They are contrasting with each other previous harbinger was "gentle" like a mother yet cruel, Arlecchino is strict like a "father" yet caring. Its a nice detail maybe be thats why she picked it up rather than sticking up with "Mother"
You know for being the 4th ranking Harbinger, Mother was beaten so easily LMFAOOO

In the comedia del arte play (where the harbingers are based from) the Character of Arlecchino was also known as "The Knave" which literally translates to "servant" Arlecchino was a servant of pantalone. Arlecchino was a dishonest, sly and a trickster. Otherwise a untrusting person. That was what the person ment the Arlecchino from genshin impact having the title of the knave the knave translates to slave that's it.
Clervie(arle’s friend) was the “mother”’s biological daughter, who was mistreated and abused for being too weak. Thats why arlecchino asks “do mothers usually argue with their daughters?” It sadly got lost in the localization

Pretty sure the animation was done by "Ufotable". The same animation studio that does Demon Slayer and the Fate Series. Their works are usually such high quality they became a meme known as "Unlimited Budget works". Based off a move animted from Fate called "Unlimited Blade works".

So her name is Peruere, she has been cursed ever since she was a child, she killed her friend Clervie, cause the former harbringer “mother” who she also killed, made the children of the Hearth fight amongst themselves to raise the best of em.
I want to know what position "mother" held because I don't think 4th makes much sense here
In the original Chinese, Clervie is said to be the previous knave’s biological daughter! This fact didn't translate in the English version for some reason

I noticed that after my third rewatch. At least that explains why her arms are dark like "Caterpillar". I wonder what the curse is and who cursed her.

8:23 The studio working on the Genshin anime has its own commitments. In order to maintain quality, they never make 2 anime series in 1 broadcast phase. the contract is finished/the story is finished then they release the new series. For now, they just have to finish the demon slayer story, which is estimated to have 1 season & 1 movie remaining. After the series ends, the Genshin anime can be released. Wait passionately and it will payed off🔥
I'm don't want to be this guy but a studio can work on different anime at the same time. That's why studio Mappa have been releasing so much stuff, the studio is divided in teams and each team works on a different serie.
@@misse2802 Mappa? Oh yes, that studio with a lot of drama. a studio that always had internal problems with its animators. There's who complained about his work environment, and there's who complained that the studio not even care about their own animator's health. And also the biggest problem is "deadline" Many aniators complain about deadline problems. where brands are asked to complete parts of the project within sometimes unreasonable time limits. @@ryansurya4724 I never said Mappa management technique was okay, I just said that the same studio can work on different projects. And also, the first short trailer for the Genshin anime came out while they were still working on Demon Slayer.
@@misse2802I think what they meant to say was that UFOtable never releases two animes at the same time. Genshin is already in the works but they won't release the series until they finish DEMON SLAYER since they already contracted that series.
Tbf, I am chill with that, it's best that Natlan shows up first, so we can get familiar with the lore there, and not get confused by the story

Peak Arlecchino casually killing a Harbinger, the animation and music was very well made I am still waiting for the Ufotable anime to drop, but yeah Mihoyo is cooking with the godly design and animations her backstory seems pretty sad and also her origin probably is the same as Caterpillar who is a Cursed Khaenriah citizen who somehow is able to turn back into a human form and grow

@@user-sq1oi9qp8w remember the human body modifications that they do, all the fatui troops have very irregular bodies which means that the Fatui are doing experimentations on the children that they brought from other nations, you can find more details in the Genshin manga
@@Aman_Mondal I think you're right but the twist might be that these experiments are done by Pierro to find out how to deal with or "study" the Khaenri'an curse for his own benefit. Might even be Arlecchino's own blood being used for the children in her batch. At this point I'm almost certain she's a lost Khaenri'an as there is no evidence of any other nation or people being affected by "hilichurlification", and the funny pupils are a dead giveaway (all of them have unique pupils so far).
The Mother was not necessarily a Harbinger
@@ZETA14.88its stated ingame for a while that the previous Arlecchino Was a harbinger too but they never mention her old rank. By killing the previous Arlecchino she inherited the title.
Although it is only a short animation, it is enough to make us see that father had a sad enough past to create the cruel Arlecchino of today😢
I mean so far we know that she:
- killed a noble pedo to save Lynette
- put a lot of time and resources to stop the prophecy
- didn’t kill Furina once she realized the “Archon” was actually powerless
- helped Poisson during their crisis
- trained the kids to be assassins, sure, but also to defend themselves
I’m not saying she’s a cinnamon roll, but I wouldn’t call her cruel either - she’s pragmatic.
@@biazachaexactly. I wouldn’t say she’s straight evil based off of what we know of her now. More like morally gray, as she seems to have some type of moral compass.
A fun detail is that the place she fights against the previous Arlecchino in, is now her boss domain.

@@MistyswirlThere is a big reason behind it First is that she doesn't want to become a " Mother" as she think mothers are manipulative and cruel just like crucabena ( the previous knave ) Crucabena was kind and caring on the outside, not on the inside though. So she strived to be " Father " because she believes fathers are strict and strong but is straight with the children and honest with the children. That is why " she prefers to be called father, she doesn't want to become like the previous knave."
In conclusion she is strict and unfeeling but actually love and cares for her children secretly. If you did the archon quest you know she does love her children because she prioritizes them learning how to survive than making themselves be in a dangerous situation.
It's probably HOYOANIME that animated this,since most of the genshin animations aren't commisioned to other studios due to artstyle difference and goreness level of genshin, but since they said frick it to both,it probably might be it.

So many little nuggets of info in just one video! Arlecchino was disgusted by the actions of her "Mother" who acted nurturing but was cold and ruthless. Now, she continues the House of the Hearth as the "Father" who is seemingly cold and ruthless but who actually cares about the children. We also know that she is afflicted with a curse of some kind, which manifests by the blackness creeping over her hands and arms, much like Caterpillar.
Every Character in Genshin is full of Hope and Despair, Such a roller coaster ride of emotions.

I dont know why noone is mentioning this, but I always thought that you could see the Surprise in Arlechinno's eyes when her best friend is stabbed. I think she refused to kill her friend so she instead did the trope where she jumped into Arle's sword and that's why she said sorry and "youll be a great King"
I like how her fire slowly shifted color from regular to dark red like hellfire the more enraged she became

The fact that Scara wears his coat open at the end, with his legs (and arms, kinda) bare, because he is a puppet and does not feel cold, is such a small but neat detail.

That stitched up bat is Il Dottore, it’s using a stethoscope and is rather monstrous. Nahida described him as a monster in the Wanderer quest. Wouldn’t be surprised if the HoH was a major source of children for his experiments. This could also have implications about whether he has continued to tamper with the HoH children.
Btw, if you notice the credits for the VA's in the description of the video, Pierro is described to be the "Director of the Fatui", rather than a Harbinger, an interesting tid bit of info

To be honest, I wasn't convinced to her at the fullest, I just wanted her because her playstyle looks amazing, but now after this, I want her because I started to like her. Amazing animation.
i like how father isnt just a title, for arlecchino a mother is someone horrible who show false love and is horrible on the inside, so she dicide to be a father who is strict and emotionless on the outside but she really cares on the inside.

the fact that Clervie used dull blade is such a nice detail from mihoyo to show that she does not want to fight Arlecchino from the start and let herself get killed for Arlecchino's sake, knowing how the previous house of the hearth rules are

I cried the first time I watched it, and it just convinced me even more that I NEED to pull for her. This whole animation is so intense. When she showed up to fight the previous Knave I just yelled at my screen ,,KILL HER!" because I got so angry at this woman. And this reminded me so much of "The Promised Neverland". Watched both seasons, and I'm not gonna give any spoilers, but it really has similar vibes. And generally, I think the Harbingers have some of the most relatable and harsh backstories so far. I'd theorize that in the end, the Fatui are at least not generally evil. I'd say whether they are the good guys or the bad guys depends on perspective, but that's a topic for another time. Anyway, I'm glad that Arlecchino got to where she is today, because that "Mother" was a piece of garbage. Also, I've read many comments under the original video, saying that the "Mother" appears to be loving and caring, but is a freaking psycho in reality, while Arlecchino seems cold-hearted and strict, but only because she deep down cares about her children and wishes them to grow up into strong and independent individuals. Fascinating contrast.
