I just bought the older version and I’m loving it but with this new larger version you could literally use it as a chest fanny pack putting your luncheon supplies underneath the binoculars when using the foam pads you could even get rid of your fanny pack damn great idea I might buy another one
A bear spray holster for the bottom rail is what I’d want. Then you can have your bear spray, i.e. non-lethal, and your 1911, i.e. lethal, in the same chest rig both 100% ready to go. That’s the set up that I can’t get sorted right now.
Thanks for the review! I ordered mine last week one thing that caused me to pull the trigger is with pockets on both sides of their previous model to buckle I’d always be threading the strap through the back of the side pocket before buckling. Thought this one would be smoother and easier to use. I’m interested to try the different binocular lanyard though. Thanks for showing the pistol compatibility. I’m thinking throw a lanyard on a pistol grip and one of those trigger guard covers tethered to the bag. Regarding sig pro’s. We have the 10’s and 16’s and now the 18 pro’s. 10’s for archery and scouting and the 18’s seem to replace the spotting scope out west. Was thinking about getting the 14 or 16 in pro model for sitting in stands in TX hunting 1-200 yards. You have a favorite pair for gun hunting ? 18’s are just a lot for hunting in the south.
@@nathankimbro2639 thanks for watching!! That’s a great idea for the pistol. Most of what I do is sitting in stands in Texas and Oklahoma anywhere in that 1-250 yard range and I use the 16s and they work phenomenally. But if you already have a pair of 16s it may be worth going with the 14s. You can’t go wrong with either. But for that scenario, I’m gonna go with the 16s.
Seriously great points man, Kuiu should hire you for R&D! I just got the new one and love it already. The old pro harness was great for modularity, but that always seemed to come with cumbersome adding or removing of pieces, kinda sucked. Diggin the one piece, doesn't seem floppy at all like the original. Great tip on the front zipper/lid. Would love to see if you modify yours to accept the keepers somehow, definitely worth a vid if you do. Thanks for the review-
So all in all would you choose the new Kuiu Pro Harness or stick with the marsupial? I currently have the old Kuiu harness but thinking about the marsupial.
I run the older Kuiu pro binoharness and like the tether, so that may be a problem with this new one. Like the new material, the more usable pockets and that rear pocket. Great review, thanks.
That pocket for the rangefinder is a non-starter. Zipper closure for that is super dumb. Total fail. The best rangefinder pocket I have found is the Muley Freak one. Fast and super slick to remove and drop back in. I swapped to the old Kuiu Pro Harness from the Muley Freak and the Kuiu rangefinder pocket is terrible. This one looks even worse. Losing the zipper pocket from the front of the phone pouch is dumb also. This is a huge step backwards IMHO. Magnet closures are totally unnecessary if the elastic is well designed. This review shows flaw after flaw from what I see. Thanks for a thorough walk through.
@@colemantaylor6996 slow, loud, could possibly take two hands. Zero good. A flip pocket with elastic is better in every way. It's not even a rangefinder pocket really. It's just two phone pockets. Now that I'm looking again they got rid of the rangefinder pocket entirely and just gave you two phone pouches pretty much.

That’s not a bad idea!
Thank you very much for showing the gun fit test with the back pocket. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Dude said tampons. Had to rewind to see if I heard that right 😂
Beautiful background out there. I have both and love the new one
Appreciate that ! and I agree
Wish they had a side arm holster that connects
Try Razco - they make a holster for most of the major bino packs.
I'm just gonna go with marsupial

Scent…. Like for estrous and stuff.
Did you say "tampons" at 11:46?? Interesting..
Yes sir I did! You don’t take tampons hunting with you ?
I used to carry a couple in my IFAK but replaced them with celox, never in my bino harness. Not judging, just curious.

Will the magnetic closure mess up the electronics of a rangefinding binocular?
