Love them or hate them, The Omen films are a master of the arts.
I would consider the first one a master piece. They could’ve done better on the sequels but that’s usually the case with sequels.!

@@OnionChang The scene where he just knows all the answers is one of the most cool parts of the movie. Everyone dying all around him and the grown ups figuring it out - now that was pretty classic cinema.

Sam Neill is simply awesome honestly, loved him since Jurassic Park. He’s also great in the John Carpenter film In The Mouth of Madness and Event Horizon.

Underrated classic with a superb score.
Perhaps the most terrifying trilogy of all time.
Too bad this one has such a bland and generic conclusion. I think they should have not tried to end it with this one and let Damien succeed once again, but then do a Part 4 where it's the tribulation and he gets taken down by Christ. Yes, I know about Omen IV: The Awakening, and I'm one of the few people who enjoy that one. I can imagine sequels to that one where Alexander succeeds where his dad failed, but gets stopped by Christ in a more climatic fashion than done here.
@@devontehuntley6274 Totally disagree. I t ended exactly as it should have. Damien never had a chance and he knew it half way thru the movie. He was at his end here, and there was no way he was going to succeed with the second coming of Christ.
@@ricktheitalianrebel6687 Nah. The first two movies made such a big deal that he was to rule as his face was plastered in certain places. For him NOT to rule as intended was lackluster at best. We should have seen him run the tribulation era. Even in the Bible it states he will rule which makes the creation of the daggers a silly execution weapon. What is even sillier about that is he was not even killed with all the daggers which is why we got the fourth movie. Even then they left the door for him to return in a new body and get a second chance to rule, but we really should have seen that with Damien. He still would have gotten defeated in the end, here they just did it quicker and sooner and it was lame. No triumphant battle, just a quick stab to the back, a vision of Christ, and the world is at peace according to those scriptural texts. Nah. NOT BUYING IT.
When I saw this I thought Sam Neill was the handsomest man on earth!
Even as a guy I think Sam is handsome as hell in his younger days. Makes me sad to think we'll all get old eventually. Human sadness I suppose.

I loved being scared shitless by this movie when I was a kid. And it stands the test of time.
Who doesn't love Sam Neil - Dinosaur hunter / son of Satan, but the third movie's story line was really weak and really left one wanting so much more. The Omen and The Omen 2 are both really great films, but three is just ok.
This movie did a way better job of matching the feel of the original than the second one did.
When Damien is talking to The Folks, he looks more like a Cult Leader.

It took me a while to realize that this was the same guy who played Major Campbell in Peaky Blinders. And Damien and Campbell both "attacked" a woman from behind... LOL

Sam neil is too cool as the son of the Devil!!! The Omen trilogy had good actors in each film who protrayed Damien and Sam neil was an excellent and perfect choice to play Damien as an adult. With that classic smug,the supreme evil he showed in the extermination of the children and his smooth demeanor Sam neil will forever be the man that made "The final conflict"!!!

Jesus returns to the earth in Yorkshire (Fountains Abbey). To a Yorkshireman, this is everything we've been saying for years! lol
At least it had a great score by Jerry Goldsmith, even though it took years to get an album released.
I just bought it last month - one of his finest work, and that's saying a lot. incredible score indeed.

I bought my copy of it in the 1990s. It was released on Varese Sarabande.
The three movies from the Omen series are great. The artists are incredible and they have fulfilled the mission of showing the art as the picture of the worst and the best of human beings. Unfortunately, some "political" leaders of our time act as if they are anti-Christian and they think they own the world. Meanwhile, most of the world's population lives in poverty. Best regards from Brazil!

Play the 'Nazerene' game - every time the word is spoken take a shot of liquor. The movie becomes a lot more interesting.

Also The Scream Factory owns the Rights to The TV Version of The Paper Chase based on The Movie & Book by John Jay Osborn Jr., about James Tiberius Hart who is a Student at Harvard Law School in Boston, MA. Critics loved it because it showed that although you went to Harvard and wasn't born with a Silver Spoon in Your Mouth, you can still be the best. In future Years Erich Segal who wrote "Love Story" & Oliver's Story wrote The Class about Harvard's Class Of 1958 that won The Pulitzer Prize.
I think this was the film where Damien gave Kate a good hard buggering towards the end.

"Omen III: The Final Conflict" (1981) - Official Trailer This is a pretty creepy, cheesy, campy, corny & a great sequel. I have this on DVD. It's got great Special Effects. I love the music at 1:17 to 2:03. It's another great 80's Supernatural Horror Movie with Sam Neill who plays a creepy villain. It has lots of twists & turns. I love these movies soo much...
Sam Neil looks so young in this movie. Definitely fits the part. Always loved the star alignment scene in this movie and the ending scene with the music is incredible. Jerry Goldsmith did an excellent job with the soundtrack! If this movie dosen't tell you to get right with Jesus nothing will.
I still find it ironic with regards to your demeanor towards me yesterday. That's not how a God-fearing person acts. But yeah, I do concur with your assessment on this movie. I believe they gave the trilogy, the only perfect ending that it could have had. I liked the first one with actor Gregory Peck. "Omen IV, new beginning" should have never happened with regards to making that movie. PS: just didn't like the way you were talking down to that Samantha chick.

Soon to be the concluding chapter of the Omen QUADRILOGY, considering that "The First Omen" (the prequel to the first three Omen films) comes out on April 5th, 2024!

@Porcupine19 because the events in the original masterpiece are totally different first oman . It's clear in the original trilogy that damiens Mother was a jackal. Not a human who is still alive? Father brenin was not at the hospital and did not witness the birth. Plus, in the original, he is a deciple of satin and had the mark 666. Damien was not created by the church but predicted from the bible. There was no comet . Don't even get me started on him having a surviving twin sister?? The film was terrible and not cannon .
@@carlodonn8983 I didn't know that as I haven't seen it yet, but it has gotten a lot of positive reviews and looks good to me so I'll watch it.
It's not the best Omen film but it does have the best music.

It was magnificent but the ending was pretty lame as I have reasoned the budget was depleted. It would have been cool if the ending of "End of Days" would have been applied to Omen 3. The casting of Harvey Stephens, Jonathan Taylor and Sam Niel was superb as they really convincingly looked age progression alike.

Fans of The Omen Trilogy like myself considered The Final Conflict to be last of the Omen movies. Now we have The First Omen which is a prequel to the The Omen and I have heard it's a worthy addition to the saga, unlike The Awakening.
They then made another one. And a reboot.

I always thought Omen 3 seemed rushed and anti climatic but its still an ok horror film mainly because of Sam Niell as Damien. But it was a disappointment compared to The Omen and Damien Omen 2 which IMO were so much more chilling and predicted so much more Omen 3 should of been Damien headed to college. Omen 4 Damien running The Thorrn corporation and entering politics, Omen 5 running and becoming President and Omen 666 Armageddon and battle between good and evil and day of judgement. If they can make tons of sequels to other horror franchaises they could of easily made up to six films for the omen franchise told in a more satisfying way , they made 6 films anyway and it would of been a cool storyline that lived up to the first 2 films.

I thought the same. I've been trying to find out if there was actually an alternative story planned and they scrapped it. I had heard Damian was going to be POTUS in the third installment.
I tried to watch all three, I really did. Even the Exorcist. At this point I’m convinced that people that time were just too gullible or have really low expectations from horror films. And the bible verses at the end (eye roll) is the last nail in the cringe coffin.

I think we'll still be down here when the antichrist takes control. I can see why it wasn't included. An alternative theory to the pre trib rapture is that they are caught up in the air as a welcome party for Jesus when he returns. They don't necessarily go to Heaven afterwards, they might rule on Earth (post trib view).
Also, in the days of Noah, the evil people disappeared, while the good stayed behind. Just something to think about.
