Right. I love my 84. I never even road a dirtbike or motorcycle before but when a coworker needed cash bad and told me if I knew anyone interested in a bike for $400 usd to let him know. I said...I'll take a look at it. When I first seen it I wasn't impressed. It was missing everything that made it street legal and it was dinged up on the tank, scratches on the plastics and no front brakes. I wasn't about to buy it until he kicked it over with one kick. Rode it around and it rode well. I ended up taking the bike and I'm glad I did. It's fun

Npt sure why im leaving a comment on a 2 year old video but i recently found a nearly perfect 86 model in a friends barn (parked 6 years) and had it on the road 2 days later, fantastic bikes.

I own the same model but made in 1995. The absolute alpha male model and still operates as brand new. 90K miles on odometer. US model.

I have one myself, did a full engine rebuild and am now in the process of really making it look nice again. Did use it a lot for commuting and just driving around in the weekends. It’s a bike you can drive for hours and hours just for fun.

I use to ride it to enduro events- do the enduro and ride it home. Tighten a bit here and there - little bit if oil here and there and good as new

I upgraded to a 520 chain. Look up the XT 600 set up or a SR 250
