It was awesome for the U.S, We paid our employees more money than any work force in the world, and we sold the cheapest goods in the world. We were basically another China back then, except we were happy.
ProTekRon And tell me how much better we are doing nowadays with racism? BLM, Cop Killings, ISIS, the country is just as divided today as it was in the 50's, if not more.
Robert Landley it's not a that big of a deal for her to delete the video, and it's not like i did it in a rude way. if she deletes it oh well it was her choice, it was just one little mistake. not a big deal...
I like to believe that in these time period role plays, Angelica is a time traveler from present day and every once in a while she almost slips up and reveals it
My mom is a librarian! Actually, her job is exactly what you do in this video, she works in informatory, where she finds information for people and recommends them books😊
French is my first language and let me tell you your accent is adorable ! Also you're reading books than even I would I have some difficulties understanding (Camus for exemple was a pain to understand for me) so great job for reading those books while still learning French ! If you need any French books recommendations, I would to discuss with you ! :) love your videos !
Tu as eu des difficultés à lire du Camus? Mdr c'est triste. Le truc qui me choque le plus ici c'est le fait qu'elle lise des classiques comme du Rousseau... wew
Okay so I just discovered your channel today and I just completely binged it. You're so good! Your diction is amazing and makes it so relaxing. And your characters are so fun and creative! Keep up the great work.
um... this is the second video of yours i'm watching and i'm...in love with you??? you're just beyond fantastic, i'm so pumped for all the videos i still have ahead of me. gosh you're incredible
One of the best things about the 50s was Jerry Lewis and his partner in crime, the great Dean Martin. And this is good stuff, as the rest of your series sweetheart 💙
You talking about books makes me want to ..do stuff with you... Like treat you to your favorite milkshake, watch Casablanca together and talk existentialist philosophy until we realize the absurdity of existence.
It's refreshing, and a little unusual (at least in my experience), to find such an intellectual and well-read person on UA-cam. I have not been aware of any other novels written by Colette, besides Gigi, so I was particularly intrigued by the one you displayed. Leaves of Grass was deadly boring to me, but an important piece of Americana. Your comments on Walt Whitman looking like an out-of-work Santa Claus from the Depression were quite jovial. I do have a few corrections, Camus (as in Albert Camus) is pronounced Ca-moo rather than Ca-mus. 75 cents to a dollar for a paperback book in 1959 is too dear a price. It's more likely the books would have cost around 35 cents; perhaps 50 cents on the higher prestige end. Finally, "don't judge me" is most decidedly a popular phrase from the 2000's, and it's unlikely that someone in the 1950's would have used it so matter-of-factly, although it is, of course possible. Please do not take my corrections to be criticisms. If I had not been impressed with your performance and knowledge in the first place, I would not have bothered. I figure you would like your videos to be as authentic as possible, as you have already gone to great lengths to preserve this notion. I find your videos to be quite wonderful.
I wish you'd do a video as yourself!! Between this and the Venkman rp I feel like you're super fun and funny. Also I think you might be my age which makes me feel like a failure lol.
Everyone develops differently, you shouldn't concern yourself with the progress of others, even if they seem further ahead than you. As long as you're trying, compare yourself to yourself. If you're not trying, well you're probably on a path to self destruction already so do what you like. :D
lol yeah, the same happens to me with hermetic kitten, she's also my age and she's so smart and such a great person, it makes me feel so sad (for real) :(
Violently Sappy You can't get to know a person very well by their youtube videos. You're just watching a carefully curated highlight reel. I would say that you can only really know someone by living with them for a long time. And then you would realize that even the most seemingly perfect person has a lot of flaws.
Eek how wonderful!! I love this series and I only just stumbled on it. I feel like if I was to create ASMR videos myself I would do something like this, have a role-play for each decade. Would give me an excuse to do my hair, makeup, and clothes in themes.
You'll always be my favorite! You're so good at impressions it scares me! 💖💖 If you haven't, you should try doing a Stranger Things role play! Love you!❤️
"That way, if you return these books in bad condition, we can put you in bad condition." 😂
lol you noticed
Megan Borne *camera pans over revealing a wall with a bunch of dead bodies slumped there*
“Out of your reach because you can’t reach them” *ahhhh I’m so short*
Go to library. Get told half the books aren't for you. Only thing left is Walt Whitman. Broken legs if not returned. Fin.
Yah, that was the 50s alright............

I wonder what life was like in the 1950's, when everything was in black and white.
It was awesome for the U.S, We paid our employees more money than any work force in the world, and we sold the cheapest goods in the world. We were basically another China back then, except we were happy.
Ty Wilkins Also racism.
ProTekRon And tell me how much better we are doing nowadays with racism? BLM, Cop Killings, ISIS, the country is just as divided today as it was in the 50's, if not more.
Wow... how did this become a debate on racism?
Ty Wilkins As long as we have two sides in politics, as well as more, we will be divided.
fun fact: To Kill a Mockingbird was published in 1960.
brianda denyce lol
If you think a book form the 60's is out of place in the 50's, check out that shelf of dvds behind her
Robert Landley it's not a that big of a deal for her to delete the video, and it's not like i did it in a rude way. if she deletes it oh well it was her choice, it was just one little mistake. not a big deal...
Christian Hodge Haha.
Fun Fact: 1960 is in the 1950s...
Great characterisation. Possibly the most badass librarian ever from 12:20-12:45! :-)
@hambone31000 Clearly, you're all alone in this myopic thinking.
"Santa going through the Great Depression" lol hahahah that made me laugh so hard when you said it.
One of the best voices I've heard.
angelica: can you speak french
me: bonjour?
angelica: that's ok it doesn't really matter

Kid, someday you're going to be in the movies.
That moment when you're in the 1950s and have dvds
She’s a time traveler
@Random Autonomous Drone Pilot wait I just started watching, was she reading Make-Out Tactics?
I like to believe that in these time period role plays, Angelica is a time traveler from present day and every once in a while she almost slips up and reveals it
My mom is a librarian! Actually, her job is exactly what you do in this video, she works in informatory, where she finds information for people and recommends them books😊
I did not think librarians were this hyperactive in the 50s.
Rup Tratin I think that's just the character she's playing
3:26 I like how there is a dog just casually walking in the library
Holy shit, your ASMR is good, but DAMN YOU SHOULD CONSIDER ACTING PROFESSIONALLY!!!
wait a tick... 1950's librarian?? 'To Kill a Mockingbird' was first published in 1960!! None of this adds up! I call time lord shenanigans!!
spacemarinebob She's a time traveler :000
Gotta love anachronisms.
Ah! Another Whovian in sight!!! 😀😀😀
srsly, i wish she’d get the role as Grand Master!!! SHE WOULD BE AWESOME, and so chaotic, but so goooood. oh, how fun it is to dream😂.
This is such a cool idea to do asmr over different time periods. so different and unique- thank you!
if you're not famous within the next 10 years I'm going to be so mad
No need to be mad she’s not famous but she def has a lot of followers
True lol

yeah read or die is pretty good
3:00-3:10 is my favourite part awhhh❤️
So adorable, especially that 'right there' part made my day
It's such a pleasure to look at you, you're playing like a real actress^^
Best librarian RP I've seen yet! I love it when I can relax AND laugh.
Why do I even bother? She probably won't have 50 shades of grey
She’s probably going to keep that one anyways
I love To Kill A Mockingbird. It's a good, classic novel; one of my favorites actually. ☺️
But it was made in the 1960’s so it didn’t apply to this time period
Angelica you are a true artistic genius.
such a refreshing way of talking in asmr videos!
You did a phenomenal job creating this Asmr roleplay. I enjoyed it. Thank you.
Awesome acting, I just binge-watched most of this series and I subbed, keep up the good work Angelica!
Ur voice and audio is sooo goood! It really fits the 50s, it reminds me of audios u would hear in a 50s movie.

I'm so glad I clicked on your WW2 asmr video. You've become one of my fav asmr UA-camrs.
Too bad the video is not in Technicolor
"If you bring them back in bad condition.... we can put you in bad condition" love it 😂
Funny Face is an all time favorite, you keep knocking these out of the park! The 20s and 40s are my favorites so far.
This is one of my fave videos of yours, keep up the good work :D!
Leaves of grass made me think of paper towns immediately
Chloe R Whitman is such an amazing author. Leaves of Grass is a splendid work for sure.
that transition from english to spanish was so sudden I jumped
You acted well, thoose mimics... you healed me and then killed me. Thanks for that :)

Jay Kelz oooooh and the big bopper
She's reading TKAMB, a book from the 60's in the 50's (one of my favourites, too!)?? Time lord Angelica confirmed!
"What is a rapper ...cause it's the 1950" 😂 lol
The amount of Zendaya vibes you give me is amazing
You talking about books makes me want to ..do stuff with you... Like treat you to your favorite milkshake, watch Casablanca together and talk existentialist philosophy until we realize the absurdity of existence.
Kevin De Vos cringe
lol, i thought it was quite sweet,...in a thirsty kind of way.

This is fantastic. You are quickly becoming my favorite content creator!
Gosh dangit, miss! You're hysterically funny. Love it!
I wish you'd do a video as yourself!! Between this and the Venkman rp I feel like you're super fun and funny. Also I think you might be my age which makes me feel like a failure lol.

UR PROFILE who is thatttttt
Angelica roleplay of Angelica?
That is truly absurd.
I'm watching some of your videos and you're sooooooo amazing!! You could be an actress someday.
Angelica is clearly a time traveler trying to blend in. It's the only logical explanation for the "I'm a wrapper" bit.
Starring at the DVDs in the back 😂 can't help me. #TimeTravelToThe50s
this video gave me the final push i needed to start reading again, i love you

Dunno why I imagined this one with Miles Davis' Kind of Blue in the background. Great vid! Lots of tingles! Thanks!
Eek how wonderful!! I love this series and I only just stumbled on it.
I feel like if I was to create ASMR videos myself I would do something like this, have a role-play for each decade. Would give me an excuse to do my hair, makeup, and clothes in themes.
