The Shindou version basically adds rumble, removes the BLG hyperspeed building and makes Mario rotate around more when he grabs a tree or pole. Also, the US version added extra voice lines and bugfixes that were missing in the original Japanese version. The Shindou version keeps these additions. The Shindou version also replaces the line "So long, eh, Bowser" with "Buh-bye" because Bowser in Japan is only known as "Kuppa". Nintendo: took away backwards long jump glitch
me: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Dude the switch version is the Shindo Version
Dude! What!?
Nintendo: keeps all the glitches
Also Nintendo: removes the BLJ
Sn0wbearYT at least 20 years ago they did
Back when this version was made, the blj was the only glitch they knew about
That was done 26 years ago
If the Shindou version came out in ‘97 with BLJ patched, that begs the question of who exactly figured it out so soon after the original release? An absolute legend no doubt
Awesome vid! Keep up the good work!
Underrated channel
Yo thanks for this video I’m glad that most of the glitches are still in the game.
And if it wasn’t for this I probably wouldn’t of found out that these glitches are still in, thank you :)
Answer: only the negative speed glitch(this applies to BJL)
Now people are exploiting the Forward wall jump glitch
Negative speed?
You mean this?
ua-cam.com/video/Vlh0CA_aBwQ/v-deo.html
Zyrerin yes
The Idiotics in the original, the negative speed was a thing, and was used to exploit some places in the game(the backwards long jump uses negative speed)
@@theidiotics2629 Yes. its what the BLJ uses. They Limited it in the Shindou Version/3DAS so now the only way is Using Frame Perfect Wall Jump, only in TAS to preserve and not limit mario's forward speed
Was very sad when I heard "Buh-bye" In the reveal for the game. Made speedrunning this not as good on switch which I was hoping to do. I can still but it's not the same.
Bye, bi. Mario stays homophobic. 😎
So fucking awful that one voice line isn't the same in this one version of the game and it arguably fits way better. Nintendo's always been such a terrible company
what? you deserve many more subs
i enjoy your content!
Thank you!
Mario 64 Shindou Edition is just a version with settings or there are improvements to the original version?
(But tanks for the video)
The Shindou version basically adds rumble, removes the BLG hyperspeed building and makes Mario rotate around more when he grabs a tree or pole.
Also, the US version added extra voice lines and bugfixes that were missing in the original Japanese version. The Shindou version keeps these additions.
The Shindou version also replaces the line "So long, eh, Bowser" with "Buh-bye" because Bowser in Japan is only known as "Kuppa".
Also, some sound effects (like the chomp and the red coins) are different between the Japanese and US versions of SM64. The Shindou reverts to the Japanese sound effects while keeping most of the additions from the US version.
@@ag2023en Tanks :)
Ofc they remove the most fun feature
super mario 64 is a good game
My favourite part of Super Mario 3D All-Stars is Super Mario Galaxy which I used to have on the Wii got for Xmas 2013 and also for my 9th birthday in 2011.
I have Super Mario 3D All-stars on Nintendo Switch.
*I really liked it! :)*
Awesome video; superior editing skills, very entertaining
In the shindo ver they deleted the line whe mario says "so long gay bowser"
He now says “Bye-Bi” since Mario hates Bisexuals.
@@foojo9 i hate bisexuals too
The reason why Mario doesn't say "So long, gay Bowser" in Japan is because Bowser's name in Japan is King Koopa.
@@heroessquad2019 play the unpatched Japanese version of the game and listen mario still say it because the file didn't change they chanfed only the language
love it if luigi was in 64 and sunshine. they could've added that idea just to see something incredibly new
WHY EVEN MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS IT'S JUST SHINDOU EDITION
FakeWeegee HE KNOWS.
@@o-kapo but why even talk about it when it only patched the BLJ, talking about the other things that are not patched is kinda filler to make the video longer it seems tbh
FakeWeegee He probably just wanted to test out other things that he didn’t know if it was patched or not.
@@o-kapo i mean if he tested this out while making this video/writing the script he shouldve seen that the video would be bland and uninteresting because of only BLJ being patched, and it being common knowledge that shindou didnt patch any more of these glitches he had shown
EXACTLY YOU CAN SAY EVERYTHING NEEDING SAYING WITH 2 SENTENCES
I can't believe they kept a handful of the glitches in the game but removed the BLJ, that sucks.
they removed it 23 years ago in the Shindou version wym
@@TGAM2005 they still did though
Well at the time that was really the only glitch they knew about
@@bluepineapple4396 but that just proves even more that Nintendo was lazy and only made better graphics
@@iyan.manbunLAZY FOR FIXING THEIR GAME? LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO9OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The blj made Mario 64 more enjoyable in a way because it opened up a whole lot of new possibilities which increased the games enjoyment and now it’s gone 😔 (+ it’s kinda funny because it sounds like Mario’s havin a seizure)
Hahahahahahaha
it was removed all the way back in the shindou version of the game.
Kasyu I’m aware
that was a high quality video,
you deserve more subs
Thank you!

Fact: 3-D all stars din’t fix most the glitches but the 1997addition fixed it most of the glitches added Voice clips. That weren’t in the Original Japanese original version of super Mario 64 and the reason why there is no “So long gay bowser!” Because in Japan Bowser is known as king Koopa
I’m happy none of the glitches were removed but I hate Nintendo for only selling it until March!
Before I watch further this is the Shin do version so most of the bugs are already fixed
Only blj is fixed
Here's my question! Does the perfect swimming exploit in JRB still work? You know, the one where you can get the 6th star without the metal cap?
@@tunesfromlucas9897 ah yes BLJ is not a glitch
@@Piggy26 The Blj was removed in the Shindou version 23 years ago.
@@tunesfromlucas9897 yes but i think this is a carbon copy of the shindou version. Updated textures and whatnot

95% of glitches still around yet removes the BLJ? Oh, hell to the no.
But, very interesting tips and tricks. Thank You very much.
Ghostly Winds 20 or more years ago they did
Im surprised that there is more glitches in Super Mario 64 3D All-Stars (2020) than Super Mario 64 Ds (2004)
Here’s a bit of an explanation of why they were removed, technically they never were for this port. You see this port is based on the Japanese rerelease which indeed fixed a lot of bugs and changed some voice lines. So this isn’t modern Nintendo meddling, its always been this way
And who exactly used that version?
Tbh, I don’t really mind that BLJ is fixed in 3d all stars. Personally, I want to finish the game genuinely rather then just abuse glitches to finish it quickly. I’ll always enjoy the glitches in the pirated version for the computer, but I’ll try to avoid the glitches in 3d all stars. And I honestly think and anyone who didn’t finish the game should at least try to play it properly (even if they had pirated it).
But you have the option to not use BLJ so
@@liaml1694 ik, I only said that I don’t mind that it’s patched in 3d all stars
Nobody's even going to speedrun this version of the game seriously anyway.
They took the best speedrun technique from us, and also the famous "So long, Gay Bowser!" Line......Damn Nintendo
26 years ago
The backwards long jump does work sometimes, it doesn't always work anymore
No it literally doesn't. The backwards speed is capped.
Thank god I still have the original N64 copy, but what everybody never realized is that the version they used for the Switch is the Japanese Shindou version that had patches that removed the famous stuff we know about.
There are no patches in the shindou version. There's just a cap on backwards speed, resulting in a BLJ being unable to build up stupid speed
This game is just awesome. Thankfully I got it the same day it came out. If you haven’t played this you should seriously try it if you haven’t already.
Ah dang they took out the backwards long jump to the last Bowser glitch. I used to do it on the N64, and I did the same on the Wii.
They didn’t take the time to fix these ones but they took the time to fix the most iconic one BLJ
This is the shindou version, idk how to spell it. At the time,
The BLJ was the only known glitch.
@Salvador Jr.
Yeah it sucks and you spelled it right
They did not fix anything. They just added a backwards speed cap.
Thank gosh BLJ is back on the N64 emulator
Nintendo: We seem to have forgotten to add a negative speed cap, so we made a new version of Mario 64 which has that cap. This way, players can’t go at very high sp-
Speedrunners: wall.
The speed runners will BLJ to the nintendo hq and tell them to add it back
Damn, nintendo really got lazy for something so important like atleast change the graphics like marios model or fix some more bugs dont just translate a different version.
Creepy pasta Wario: YOU WANT FUN? WARIOS GONNA GIVE YOU FUN * Mario running for his life *
i love how it's just an english localization of the japanese version badly emulated
Badly how?
It was find the sm64 on switch but getting the back jump removed I don’t think so that glitch it was one of my favorite

Nintendo Watches this: Write that down for our next update

Nintendo didnt do anything when porting these games to switch. They're the exact same, maybe missing a sound effect for no reason, etc. No extra effort was put into this collection.
Antony Rye they did that 20 years ago
