The two tombs and “royal family” of Jesus are intriguing and I remain interested but agnostic. For me, the most significant and interesting and compelling part of Dr. Tabor is his emphasis on the Baptizer and Jesus as a very tightly connected pair who came out of or at least followed in the tradition of Qumran and their Teacher of Righteousness. And were deeply informed by and acted out 2nd Temple apocalyptic messianic hope and expectation, and where both Jesus and John were perhaps just as highly literate and immersed in Jewish scripture as Qumran. Did one or both actually spend time there? Up ‘til now-while I’ve long felt the Baptizer was extremely important to the Jesus story, and that both he and Jesus believed Jesus was the end-times Messiah-I’ve always assumed a lower-level literacy and familiarity and use of Jewish scripture, more akin to the Jesus Seminar. For the first time in years, the words and deeds of Jesus in the Gospels read very differently, with much more that now seems might actually trace to Jesus. After a long dry spell, it’s nice to read the Gospels again with this much new interest.

I wonder why no one ever goes to the vedic texts..
"The Vishnu Purana also explains that, "When the practices taught in the Vedas and institutes of law have nearly ceased, and the close of the Kali age shall be nigh, a portion of that divine being who exists of His own spiritual nature, and who is the beginning and end, and who comprehends all things, shall descend upon earth. He will be born in the family of Vishnuyasha, an eminent brahmana of Shambhala village, as Kalki, endowed with eight superhuman faculties. By His irresistible might he will destroy all the mlecchas (Barbarians) and thieves, and all whose minds are devoted to iniquity. He will reestablish righteousness upon earth, and the minds of those who live at the end of the Kali age shall be awakened, and shall be as clear as crystal. The men who are thus changed by virtue of that peculiar time shall be as the seeds of human beings, and shall give birth to a race who will follow the laws of the Krita age or Satya Yuga, the age of purity. As it is said, 'When the sun and moon, and the lunar asterism Tishya, and the planet Jupiter, are in one mansion, the Krita age shall return.'" (Book Four, Chapter 24)

@@sharon_rose724 mostly because historians are looking to retell history, not validate alleged prophecy. There's something to be said for using religious narratives to make archeological discoveries, it's how we found Jericho. However, it's a double-edged blade, because we also end up finding out what religion has been trying to hide and unfortunately, we just always end up finding human answers and have yet to find any divine ones.

However, Prof. Amos Kloner, who oversaw the archaeological work at Talpiot tomb, disagrees. According to Prof Kloner, the James Ossuary could not have come from the Talpiot tomb, because the so-called missing ossuary of the Talpiot tomb had no inscription and was of different dimensions.

I had a dream about that symbol above the tombs entrance. Never seen it before then and it was said to be the symbol of God and Jesus. The roof shape is the Capstone or protection of God and the Circle is Jesus the one to fulfill prophesy. But according to Isaiah 53 Jesus would have offspring. Which was another dream I had a decade ago. I told my sister, brother in law and many people. I just recently ran into all this evidence supporting these things I’ve seen. It so amazing.

After Juda was burried as people thought he was Jesus James at night digged the tomb took the body to Families tomb where Joseph was already resting in, and Mary was waiting on James, after he arrived she washed the body and put on fabrics, as you can see they didn't want authorities to know where the body has gone. As part of this the laying body on this tomb didn't have a bone box

So if really true a circle with a angle above would make a better jesus follower symbol than a cross.
    Any idea what they represent?
It looks a little like the all seeing eye and triangle on the USA dollar note and freemasonry symbols

Presumably when the Talpiot tomb was discovered and investigated and the bones turned over to the Jewish authorities for burial, calcaneous bones with crucifixion nail holes would have been noticed and reported. Or not? Plus, no such bones and no such report might simply reflect that some bones had been scattered and lost. Or maybe such heel bones were present and saved and exist somewhere, perhaps intentionally hidden in private hands or otherwise waiting to surface and be discovered.

    Prof. Tabor sir!
The triangular shaped structure above the tomb entrance has always been intriguing to me.
This looks similar to a small dovecote. Can you tell us what that might be?

here is a video of the location discussed in this vid:
    ua-cam.com/video/5vQmbfUP7go/v-deo.html
story is fascinating, though as an Israeli i find it highly highly unlikely an antique dealer doesn't know Jesus had a brother.
this might be true for most Israelis off the street, not a professional dealer.

@@Ghost_bros you are not a smart person, don’t you read? You take everything the Bible says as being the truth? Scholars have researched things that I have read. You know there is other books outside the Bible. Do some research, you forget that Jesus was taken before the Sanhedrin and if you look at Steven and James the great, they were stone to death. And probably tied of a pole and then buried in a criminal graveyard, but Romans hardly ever took a common criminal down from a cross. And in a slave revolt, the Roman crucified thousands on a road to show that a there was no taking revolvers down from crosses.
