  • Year two with a Ryobi RY40180 40V 20 Inch Electric Lawn Mower. One of our viewers called this a torture test because we grind up pine cones, twigs, corn stocks and much more. However, this is just the way we treat it in everyday use. If it won't stand up to this, I don't want it.
At the end of the video we show how the bottom of the unit including the blade so you can see the damage to it.
We also have a real world test video from last year • Real World Usage Revie... and an unboxing and setup video from last year • Unboxing and Setup of ... .

    I'm seriously considering this mower.

Expensive battery powered motors... "Gas like power" ... it's a scam. Gas has the balls and if you have half a brain it's not messy at all. Congrats T-800 you saw through the scam reviews.. gas all the way. Lithium batteries have a huge foot print themselves they aren't environmentally friendly, and I'll bet you have a machine that's mostly steel instead of plastic for a lower price.

Just picked one of these up on Facebook marketplace for $125. We have a super small front yard where a riding mower doesn't makes sense, but this thing is perfect and works so well.

Mine let me down after 4 months- it just can't handle taller weeds/grass in the backyard (did a great job on flat terrain front yard, though).Just bought a Toro gas powered mower. I'm going back to the old landmark!

I’ve been cutting with this mower for about 2 months now. I love it. But I do need to buy a second battery to do my front and back yard in 1 day. The second battery is going to cost me $180 which is ridiculous (40v 6ah) but in fairness, I did pay $150 for it from a guy on fb. I love cutting at 1 inch but that takes a lot of juice on my battery. Maybe I’ll try cutting at 2 or 3 inches because at 1 inch, it feels like I’m running with the lawnmower trying to cut as much yard as I can before the battery dies lol so maybe cut at 3 inches and a second battery will work for a full yard cut in 1 day all in 1 go. Overall, no oil, no gas, starts every time in 1 push, stores easily, very light weight, (although I do wish I bought the self propelled lol) I love it. I just hate that I have to buy a second battery! *Thank you stimulus check 😂

Someone else commented and said just buy another Ryobi tool that takes the same battery, it’s just about the same amount of money. I’m thinking about doing that because I definitely need a second battery, I can barely get through my medium sized front yard without having to charge it. And I love the mower besides that.

I have similar Ryobi mower. Screws holding mower handle on vibrated out. Took awhile before I figured out what was going on with it. Had to buy new screws. Metal screw in molded plastic, not the best way to build a lawnmower. Second year of use and battery already failing. Only half power from last year. Not impressed.

*This mower....... changed my life **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend I never thought I would see the day when I would ever make the switch to electric yard tools. But this was one of my best decisions yet. My old 15+ year old gas mower snapped its pull string while trying to get it to fire up and instead of fixing it, I chose to upgrade instead.*

Mine worked great for about 2 years. Now I would like to return the lawnmower through the Ryobi headquarters front window. It now lacks the power to push the grass into the bag, causing it to clog.

    • @17noneya

No tree cutting, blades sharpened, and new battery because the battery no longer charges. It lacks the power to shoot the grass to the back of the bag causing it to fill the front half of the bag.

  • @jorgejeffries5855

"Wedgy spot, does a good job" Don't fight it too hard, use a trimmer. "A few stones, that's fine" Your blade disagrees, gas or battery. "Mulching worked good for having a full bag" Well you aren't mulching, you are "bagging" a full bag. You must take the bag off to mulch. After seeing a lot of reviews of excited people showing off their new battery mower.. some of them on the trashiest looking lawns not even worthy of a test.. viewers seem not to notice, or be able to tell good from bad anyway. I'm so glad I didn't buy a Ryobi, or an Ego. "Gas like power" Is the same as a "vagina like penis", no way to get the job done right.

    • @mknh2466

In all fairness you can't blame the eletric lawn mowers for the trashy looking lawns. Having a nice looking lawn requires some care besides just cutting the grass.

    • @jorgejeffries5855
      @jorgejeffries5855 3 роки тому

In all fairness.. if you can't discern a good lawn from bad, you are far from qualified to review a mower.
