Thanks Alex, appreciate it.
When I am playing poorly I feel like I am jumping off my right foot. This should be very helpful. Thanks again Troy.
Thanks Mike, no worries at all.
Hi Troy! I had been playing very well of late thanks to you! Sketchy on the front nines but as things start to come together during the round and timing improves I have been shooting lights out in the back nine! One thing that had crept into my game gas been some wicked inexplicable shanks with my wedges especially and down to about the 7 iron! You can imagine how frustrating it would be to drive the ball 250 - 270 down the fairway and then shank it right, into the bushes! Shallowing, bowing and rotating to try to ensure that I square the clubface at impact but alas it has still occurred when least expected! Then it dawned on my Right foot movement. Causing my right knee to invade the space and my right hip to move forward, toward the ball, irrespective of how hard I try to maintain posture!
Could this be a possible cause! Do you think?
So keen to add a bit more consistency to my game! Of course the shanks and straight right shots are mega-destructive! I will try you tip here and let you know how I get on! Take care, mate! Keep doing what you do!
P.S. Sharing some of your videos now, with others! Hope this is helpful to them and to you!
That's great to hear things going well and appreciate your support.
Yes, it could definitely be an issue with shanks. Creating a bit of space is always beneficial in the downswing. I'd give it a try. Also, check out this video might help as well ua-cam.com/video/6RusA9N6Y_8/v-deo.html. Thanks again, cheers.
Hey Troy I have just watched your 2 follow on clips namely " the left knee move & the tucked pelvis " Am I right then in saying the right heel slide towards the target is immediately followed by the left knee moving over your left foot which in essence is causing both knees to externally rotate . Hence the squat which tucks the pelvis & keeps the hips level coming into the delivery slot . Thus early extending is no more an issue 🤗
Yes Paul, that's spot on. Cheers
Will this feel lead to banking trail foot towards target? Additionally, is this enough to start taking a divot ahead of ball
Yes that’s right. It will also help with taking divot first then ball
Make America great again!
Did you have a question about the golf video?
What are the consequences of leaving the right heel down through impact
It's slightly different for all golfers. If you leave it down for too long, it can stall your rotation through the golf ball. Find a happy medium. I don't like to have it lift up too much too early in the downswing. Need to find that balance. Thanks
