"Geographically I'm African" : me evertime someone asks where I'm from and I have to explain where Reunion Island is... "Between Madagascar and Mauritius" is my go to explanation because a lot of people know about Mauritius and more or less (though often less) know where to place it on a map.

I highly recommend you get better acquainted with your melon baller.
Cut a watermelon in half the long way, then use the baller to scoop out the watermelon. You can then scoop 2 or 3 other types of melon (I use cantaloupe & honey melon for the color variety). Mix the melons together & fill your scooped out watermelon as a container. Put the extra melon balls in a reusable container & refill the watermelon bowl as needed.
I like doing this because:
1. Scooping out melons is super easy & can be done while watching a movie or talking on the phone.
2. The “melon salad” looks like you have mad skillz. You will get compliments on it at any event.
3. The leftovers are yummy!
I actually have 3 melon ballers that are different sizes (not on purpose, they were given to me from my friends’ & family’s kitchen junk drawers when my house caught on fire & my kitchen was destroyed.) Anyway, I kept them all & my salads look extra good. 😉

I used to never get mad hardly ever, although I can certainly be a grump. I am on edge when I need to be responsible. I took a while to learn to be chill, but it was my worldview preventing that initially.
Now I get angry at Injustice, like you, and I think that's a beautiful thing. Also, I used to get sad at injustice, because I had been trained to be "demure" (not sure that's the right word, too gendered) and obedient (also was trained well as an apologist). So, I would just feel bad for myself. That significantly influenced my depression.
I actually was prescribed an antidepressant the semester of my junior year (of US high school), after I was excommunicated. I only tried it one night though because I woke up angry the next morning and that terrified me. Now that I understand my mental health a little better, I'm not depressed and I have a healthy sense of Injustice and righteous anger at that Injustice.

There are only two kinds of people when it comes to alarms, and they’re always dating one another 😂😂 my wife is 100% Shabba in this regard, and I am LITERALLY Jamie complete with the exact alarm style & bafflement at how my wife even hears her alarm
I am left-handed and was allowed to use it for writing, which would not have been the case for my grandparents generation, so I lucked out.
However, I never had a left-handed mouse at home/school, so when I’ve tried it as an adult, it feels weird/awkward..
I also play a euphonium (mini tuba) and now I can actually move my ring and pinkie faster on my right hand.
However, I wonder if a “left-handed” Euphonium would have made faster notes easier to begin with. 🤷🏼♀️

Omg the multiple alarms.. I am totally on your side with that one, my girlfriend hits snooze anywhere from 5 to 8 times every morning and I don't have to get up until after her so it's really annoying and makes me want to scream. Where as if I sent an alarm it barely goes off and I'm up and ready to go.

Mauritius has a lot of Indian subcontinent decendents. From its past under the French East India Company. Also, subsequent to the abolition of slavery a large number of indentured laborers from India and a large contingent of Indian soldiers.
Due to traditional trade routes, East Africa, in general, has pockets of Indian subcontinent decendents.
wow, a shorter person who likes being shorter. I'm tall, and I wish I was shorter a lot of the time. I like to say that it's much easier to get a stepstool if you need to be tall than to chop off your legs if you need to be short. The only thing I think I'd miss if I were smaller is my long stride, I walk fairly fast, and it'd be kinda weird if I were slower.

I also had a strange side effect of having to use my right hand instead. I kept writing my letters backwards, but I wasn't dyslexia I think. Still, it's cool to hear that someone else has a similar problem. I only get confused sometimes now..
i used to hate cake too! haha and i am allergic to dairy, but i only gained a bunch of weight after i cut out all dairy. so i guess it depends on a lot of things - to be fair, i needed to gain that weight though xD

I dressed up in my tiger onsie once so I could be Rajah from Aladdin. My husband went as the guy that Rajah bites on the bum, so I ripped a hole in his trousers, put some dark pink hearts on light pink fabric and sewed some in the hole I'd ripped and attached some with a safety pin to my tiger onsie mouth 😄 Nobody at the party understood though 🙄

We went to a party with my partner dressed as a shower (round metal tubing with a shower curtain and a shower head) and me in a robe wearing big white beard, mustache, and halo. I walked first because Godliness comes before cleanliness.
