Firstly Shaaba you looked amazing in this video. And secondly what you described is exactly the experience I had when I shopped for a wedding dress. I felt I was going to go in a feel like blah. But I tried on 4 different dresses and just fell in love with my actual dress ( one that the owner of the shop picked out) and just stood there in a mirror and stroked the dress and just twirled for a good 20 mins. Been married 4 years this November and I wish you every happiness and smiles xx

I cried watching your mum when you came out in you favourite. Not had the pleasure of seeing my daughter in a wedding dress but my daughter-in-law asked me to go with her as her mum was home in the Philippines and it was an honour to do so. Mums just know when its right.

Next time someone you know announces an engagement, send the bride-to-be flowers, and *beg* to be included in her entourage. It is just as marvelous an experience as you think, even without being the bride. At the salon, ask someone where you can wash your hands right quick so you don't transfer any crud onto the fabrics, because you *will* want to enjoy the wonderful textures. So many weaves and varieties of silk alone! The staff will know that you're a civilized being who won't trash their samples. While the Star of the Day is changing, they might even be able to answer questions and show you nifty stuff.
The wedding finally went off Sept. 24, 2022. Shaaba has several new vids about it and about how frustrating it was to wind up planning a wedding over the course of three years, instead of the one they had anticipated. She has also posted photos on her other social media. They both looked spectacular!

I was there for my wife when she got her wedding dress - a surprisingly similar situation where I'm a trans man and she's a cis woman. I was there for moral support and to help wrangle her very opinionated family so she could just enjoy the moment. Even though I did see the dress she ended up deciding on, it didn't make the moment where I actually saw her in the dress at the wedding any less special by any stretch of the imagination. :) So yeah, very much a dumb tradition.

I don’t think seeing your spouse in the dress beforehand would ruin anything at all like you said the emotions of seeing them walking down the aisle with everything done and they are all dolled up and just knowing this is the start of forever... well in some cases my husband and I both are cis gendered not that it matters lol but we started our forever about 10 years ago we got together at 16 and now are 30 and it took a couple years for us to not be dumb kids but once we figured ourselves out and knew we were heading in the same direction and growing together rather than apart we started our forever without a wedding we can’t get married or I’d lose my insurance and we can’t afford to buy insurance but we want a spiritual wedding without the “signed paperwork” at the end. Maybe someday when this virus is long gone and we are back to not being afraid of people. Also I 100% wild want my spouse there to wrangle my family rather just my mom in so I could enjoy myself without fear of judgement which is what my mom is known for.

Based on how your Mom didn't want to give to much away that sneak peak showed just how much she loved it, your sister definitely was more vocal but the smile never really left her face until she took that deep breath in a sense took her breath away as it really shows that her eldest is getting married. Definitely a great reaction and if you do share eventually I just know you will look gorgeous just as you did in all the dresses you tried on Abigail really knows her stuff.
