What is so wild is I know you’ve always decluttered and off or lists for years, and you have so much, I can’t even imagine what other beauty influencers have. Amazing! I used to be so influenced to buy so much makeup and have paired down so much over the years, I now I have a single drawer in my vanity and it’s nice to see just the items I use! Thanks for the inspo!
I’ve loved makeup since I was a teen and hit a peak with my collection around 2016. I had sooo much stuff that I never used even half of it. I’ve decluttered so much and I enjoy/actually use what I have so much more now. I used to have 20 lippies in my purse at a time and now I own about 20 total. I also used to have so many eyeshadow palettes and now I have less than 10. Still a lot, but I’ve come a long way!
I use to always have 20 or more lip products in my purse. Not that I don’t own that many anymore. After a shoulder injury I can’t carry so much in my purse anymore 🤦♀️
when you said "im in my daughters room" it gave me a whiplash of nostalgia because that was your old makeup room/office! feels like a full circle moment thats the room that grew your collection and now that's where you're doing your biggest declutter! 💖
Yes!! I’d love to see this also! In the past when I’ve declutterred, it’s always easier to say ‘oh it’s too old let me throw it away’… like no!! If it doesn’t smell bad, or have noticeable mold. I’m gonna use. it. up!! That’s my new challenge for myself!
You must feel so much better with not having so much. Always love your decluttering videos. We’ve been decluttering our house. It feels so good to get rid of stuff we aren’t using.
I abandoned another video thevsecondcI got the notification so I can watch this one. I have bern looking forward to part 2, and am about to hugely declutter my own collection, snd my decor closet
Over the years, I have curated my collection to my absolute favorites. I have gone through the same eyeshadow stick from Thrive Causemetics so many times I have lost count. I love being able to open my makeup bag to things I adore! Also, this declutter was *chef's kiss* so goooood.
I also did a major declutter of my makeup collection a few years ago. I decided to avoid all products containing Talc, so I really got rid of 90% of my products. Obviously, I didn’t have as much as you do, I mean this is your job so it’s different lol! It felt so good to be able to just see all the products in my vanity and not have to dig under or around ones I rarely used. I make sure to keep up with the declutter process now, so it will never gets to the point where I have things I don’t use. I try to make sure that I am only buying things intended to dethrone what I already use/have, or can seamlessly fit into a rotation. It feels good to have a smaller, more meaningful, collection of products. My wallet is also grateful 😂😂 Loved this set of videos!
You have the best declutters on all of UTube! When you declutter you DECLUTTER! I love it! Some other folks say they 'are getting rid of most of their collection' and then they only have poo-poo to get rid of. I like when an influencer that has more than a sephora store be cutthroat and whittle down their TOO much product. ❤ u!
Your declutters are always the best, happy for you for going on a more minimal journey. Your vanity looks so cute! I have a smaller amount of makeup but some are older and im wanting to get rid of those. Just turned 30 and thinking about putting old products on my face gives me the ick now haha
Well done to you! What a journey, can't wait for January's collection update to see it in full glory! I don't collect or buy maeup in excess my collection is around 35 products yet I've got some to declutter! Because I'm on budget I'm trying to mix my products to get the shade I want- I layer different lipsticks, mix concealers and foundations, but if formula is wrong I don't hesitate to pass it to my nice- she has different makeup taste, so not everything she will want to keep, but her friends are exited each time I pass a bag of "goodies" to her!
Saw your story that you posted and immediately clicked over! So satisfying to watch and also knowing that in the end less is more ❤ I’ve been using the same few products for about a year now and it makes getting ready so much less stressful and as a busy mom, more efficient 😅 p.s. I enjoyed watching all of vlogmas this year, thank you for all that you share, and happy new year to you and the fam!! 🎉
Yeeeeyyyy another declutter video. This year actually i brought only replacements and i've used a lot of products. I want to focus on those i really like and try use fewer for each category ( beside foundation and powder blushes) but at least other categories 1-2 products at time and never hoard or buy backups....nope i will buy them when i intend to use them up , so new mindset for me ! I actually never use primers just my sunscreen underneath!
Your videos inspired me! I’ve had some time off during the Christmas holidays and have been purging a ton of make up! It’s so hard! Lol! I know I could get rid of more, but my collection is definitely pared down. Thanks for the inspiration!
Girl! I was so surprised when you decluttered so many of the Milk glosses! I was like ‘oh she’s keepin these! They’re her fave!’ and then you surprised me again when you kept more Merit glosses than Milk!! 😂 I need to know why the Merit clear over Milk clear 😆😜
Hi Jess!! OMG I LOVE THIS!! You have inspired me! After I watched Part One, I decluttered about 50%! I have just a little more to go, OMG it's soooooo great cause now I can see ALL of the products that I TRULY LOVE!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!! 😘😘😘😘😘
You were the inspiration for me! I declutterred my makeup to all fit into 1 drawer in my bathroom (plus a small bin with a few extras). Feeling awesome heading into the New Year. More decluttering on my horizon.
Thank you so much for posting this!! I’ve been somewhat patiently waiting for this (😂) and I think it’s going to be a great change for you. I hope it brings you all the peace and clutter-free joy 🤍
Great job decluttering your makeup collection-it’s such a smart way to start the New Year fresh! I can totally relate; back when I was filming beauty videos, I had tons of makeup and nail polishes. After transitioning to vlog-style content, I ended up getting rid of most of it because I couldn’t use it all-it was just sitting there. Guess that’s the life of a beauty blogger, lol!
I waited and watched both of the declutter videos back to back. You did an awesome job! I'm totally motivated to go through my makeup now! I don't wear a lot of makeup but I love makeup but it just sits there. My goal is to have two makeup bags one with just my favorites for an everyday look and a small one with a few extras for a special occasion look. I think I can do it now. Why do I have 10 bronzers when I never wear it? Do I need 23 lip glosses? 14 blushes basically in the same color? 13 eyeshadow palettes that I save because they are pretty colors but have never worn? I'm ready to be ruthless! Thanks for the motivation!!
This is making me realize how much I need to declutter. I feel like I never throw anything because ~what if~ I might need it?! Guess what, that day never comes. I literally have makeup from high school. I graduated in 2010. I don’t use it, but I haven’t thrown it away. It is time.
Incredible! Can't wait for the new content. We all are beauty lovers but we like what we like! Random video idea. vlog style... with your friends/family who consented to being in videos of course... "roasting" their make up bags. Seeing what "normal people" use and love and talking about why and what they like about certain products. That'd be one way you can still showcase a variety of products. Of course there would be a way to do this without showing or featuring your inner circle.. but maybe borrowing their bag and sitting down on the floor, declutter POV, and sorting through and chit chatting about things. I'm imagining mostly drugstore stuff and a few high end items that probably are tried and true!
Have you considered putting the date that you open something on a round dot and stick it on the product? That way you would know how old it is, especially the things that have shorter shelf lives once opened.
OMG when you were keeping the lipstick from your wedding and the Benefit 'Dallas', it made me think of this: I have a CHANEL 4-color eyeshadow quad, with these gorgeous champagne & jeweled colors, they are so soft & fluffy when you apply them. The thing is, my BF that I was in love with in Chicago - It's the first present he ever got me and it HAS to be 20 years old, I kid you not. I cannot and WILL not throw it out. LOL!! 😘😘😘
hey jess don’t know if you know but ulta has a recycling program in stores for beauty empties and if you’re able to clean out the expired makeup, you can take it to ulta and put in in their drop box to recycle!
I love makeup so it’s hard to let go of some items. I wish I had more space in my bedroom for another wooden chest. I have my makeup in those plastic bins with drawers. I love your recommendations Jessica!! ❤
This got me through a long road trip from Canada to Kentucky. 🥰 I love declutter! This was brutal but so good. I have added a few of the keeps to my wishlist!!! 😆
I always loved the declutter videos. It let's us know what you like and don't like... I can't wait for new content... Happy New Year and have fun in the New Year...❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
Ok now I'm back after watching Part 1 and glad I did bc of your explanation of future videos. I'm excited for you...always fun to switch things up 💜💙💚💛🧡
Such a helpful video. I have to stop myself from overbuying makeup. I find a formula I love and then think I need all the shades. I do not! I have to make myself stop and know that I have those shades already and I need to enjoy the one shade I love! It’s helping a lot. I also learned that I have lots of sparkly topper shadows, I do not need to buy the latest brand to come out with another and then I do not need all the shades lol. Those single shadows don’t all get used. I kind of find a favorite and then use that one, over and over until it’s gone. Because I’m like that (now I know) I only need one of something at any one time. My brain freaks out just having one of some things. I have this collector mentality and need to be more picky about what I choose to collect. Like ND palettes = yes. All the Pat McGrath palettes = NO. I have enough. Jessica I know you just declutterred all these lippies, but girl Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk in Fair, is gorgeous for us fair/light skin tone girlies!! I picked it up during the Sephora Sale and so happy I did! I’ve been wearing it on repeat😊
I’ve been waiting for this upload since part 1! Can’t wait to watch the probably last declutter as we know it! Hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family!
I'm getting ready to do this same thing next month. I haven't worn makeup in a while and am just getting back into it. Illness and menopause have really changed my skin texture, moisture level and tone, so it is time for a big overhaul!

After applying all my skincare, I do my hair, then I apply the CT stick foundation. Wayne Goss has a good video on how to use the CT stick foundation (I don't really think of it as a foundation, not a good name for it, more like a glowy primer).
The L'oreal serum foundation is my go to. I think they might be discontinuing it as well. What would you say would be the closest foundation to that? also you are my skin twin so what color would you use?
Not gonna lie, I waited the entire video to see you talk about Oh Miley because I remember when you bought that (was it on your honeymoon? Is it weird that I know that?) you should start a little beauty archive and put your old favs in a shadow box or little makeup bag to save!
Excuse me, Maam! It's 3AM here in the PH, and I was about to sleep (done doomscrolling lol) and your video popped up on my YT app! Guess I'm gonna complain how tired I am tomorrow then 😂❤
Girl that was a great declutter. I have these new ysl lipsticks that I only tried the color on my hand. Unfortunately they dry my lips so bad to the point that they start peeling. Where can I donate?
I wish there was some sort of liner/lipstick matching tool. I find myself buying lipsticks and trying to match them with a complimentary liner, (although it's usually weeks later), and then not getting a match, or not liking it on my lips. The whole process is wasteful and expensive. I end up using a nude or clear lip liner with all my lipsticks, which means I could toss the majority of my lip liners.
How would you feel about project panning? I don't think you really need to go all in with it but I think experimenting with panning may be a good thing to try. It will help you be a more intentional consumer as well, which seems to be a goal of yours. Either way, great job!
Hi Jess! idk if you know this, but when you look at an SPF label (or any makeup/skincare generally) it says if it expires 6 months, 12 months, or whichever After opening it for the first time. Its a little symbol of a container with a number and an m (e.g. "6m"). Most SPF's expire after 6 months, so I usually put a label of the date I opened it to make sure I don't use it expired. Hope this helps!
This reminds me that I need to get rid of everything in my time will tell bag of makeup that I put in the closet for a few months to see if I missed anything. And I didn't so it all goes.
Another Tip: The new Colourpop lip glosses in the tube are BETTER than the Summer Fridays at a fraction of the price! You probably know that but just in case you didn't! 😘
As much as I don’t love having to repurchase things more often. I feel like makeup should be sold (for less money) in smaller containers. I don’t think I’ve ever actually used up an entire product before its recommended expiration date.
The pace, the cutthroat decision making, the efficiency 🤌🏼 absolutely perfect, FAVE type of declutter!! Bravoooo 👏🏻
Would love to see that from her!

She used to
You must feel so much better with not having so much. Always love your decluttering videos.
We’ve been decluttering our house. It feels so good to get rid of stuff we aren’t using.
For what it counts I am onboard with this evolution. 💕 maybe more “Jessie Day” vlogs 🥰🤪
I feel like 2025 is the year of Curated Collections (makeup, clothes, things) and I’m here for it!!!!

Declutters are my fav as you can really tell what you are using and what you like. Good job getting rid of all of the old stuff especially!
These videos, paired with being a new mom, have helped me make some tough decisions in my own collection. Thank you, Jessica!

This was fun I love the Farmacy lip balms my fav are apple and the pear ones and the typology lip glosses are good too 🍎🍐😍
It was so fun to watch! Enjoy your curated collection!

hey jess don’t know if you know but ulta has a recycling program in stores for beauty empties and if you’re able to clean out the expired makeup, you can take it to ulta and put in in their drop box to recycle!
I clicked so fast 😂
I was waiting for this one! Thanks Jess ❤
I love makeup so it’s hard to let go of some items. I wish I had more space in my bedroom for another wooden chest. I have my makeup in those plastic bins with drawers. I love your recommendations Jessica!! ❤
Same problem, I keep them in my bathroom drawers, that’s where I do my makeup.
This got me through a long road trip from Canada to Kentucky. 🥰 I love declutter! This was brutal but so good. I have added a few of the keeps to my wishlist!!! 😆
Wow that’s a lot of declutter but you kept the best of them Thanks Jessica Happy New Year 🎊
I always loved the declutter videos. It let's us know what you like and don't like... I can't wait for new content... Happy New Year and have fun in the New Year...❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
So excited for all of your new content 😊
The Caliray primer is awesome! It works so well for smoothing pores.
The Hard Candy really fills in the pores too!
My heart soars with the eagles nest when Jessica uploads ❤️
If you know, you know 😂
haha and I KNOW!
i needed this so much today!! thank you Jess 🩷 appreciate you and your channel always!
This was a fantastic declutter. I loved the explanation in part 1 and the edited, curated final collection. ❤
Please do how i organize my makeup coolectiom after all this declutter ❤❤
I also have to get out of buying backups of my favorite things. Odds are they will expire or go bad before I need the backup! 😮I forget that I do not go through some products as quickly as I think I do. I go through phases of rotating through things I like and use every day. I am adjusting my thinking to reflect my actual usage and habits. Not an easy task!
I would love to see how you organize your collection after all of this!!!!
Thanks for motivating ME to go through my makeup!
I'm getting ready to do this same thing next month. I haven't worn makeup in a while and am just getting back into it. Illness and menopause have really changed my skin texture, moisture level and tone, so it is time for a big overhaul!
Are you still going to do closet/shoe declutters? Love watching those videos
Are we going to see your office makeup declutter next?
The e.l.f. Whoa Glow broke me out too. However, it got me to look into spf’s and a lot of skincare products that are labeled “non-comedogenic”. If a product says that, it has ingredients that shouldn’t break you out. Game changer for my acne-prone skin!
So excited for you! Must have felt amazing to let so much go!
I’m inspired… again… at the start of the year I must declutter!
You are definitely an inspiration!! Thanks to you I decluttered a lot a while ago - but I am going to go look at expiration dates...
I have a video request! Can you do a video about your top kid products for the year? I know you talk about stuff here and there and I love your travel suggestions, but I'd be interested in and definitely appreciate a Kid and Toddler Faves of the year :)
An inspirational video, Jess! You did a good job of decluttering...an amazing pile of products to discard, give away, donate. One note, I use the CT stick like a Hollywood Flawless Filter under my makeup OR sometimes I wear just this as my foundation on no makeup days. After applying all my skincare, I do my hair, then I apply the CT stick foundation. Wayne Goss has a good video on how to use the CT stick foundation (I don't really think of it as a foundation, not a good name for it, more like a glowy primer).
Woot woot!! Hello Jess!! ❤
Love this!!! Looking forward to the next one!
The L'oreal serum foundation is my go to. I think they might be discontinuing it as well. What would you say would be the closest foundation to that? also you are my skin twin so what color would you use?
I love the Merit lipsticks classic is my favorite also 😃😍🥰
This was an immediate click! Ive been waiting 🫶🏻
Guess I'm gonna complain how tired I am tomorrow then 😂❤
Fun video to watch. Wow! You give declutter a new meaning
I bought the Erborian cream on your recommendation and I love it! It makes my skin look flawless! 😊
That's awesome, I'm so glad you love it!
Now lets see an update of the makeup collection 😍
I want to go “shopping” in your declutter pile😂
Try the caliray primer. It's lovely.
Girl that was a great declutter. I have these new ysl lipsticks that I only tried the color on my hand. Unfortunately they dry my lips so bad to the point that they start peeling. Where can I donate?
I did not see your Wet n Wild skin tint? Do you still like that foundation?
I wonder if you could find a way to put a date on the products as they come in? Then you know exactly how long you've owned them! Great job!!
So satisfying! I hate it when people say it’s a declutter and they get rid of 2 things. 😊
Jessica, I would love to see you film when you donate to family & friends and see which items they choose.🎉
Hi Jess! idk if you know this, but when you look at an SPF label (or any makeup/skincare generally) it says if it expires 6 months, 12 months, or whichever After opening it for the first time. Its a little symbol of a container with a number and an m (e.g. "6m"). Most SPF's expire after 6 months, so I usually put a label of the date I opened it to make sure I don't use it expired. Hope this helps!
What shade do you have of the Gucci lip? It looks like a perfect my lips but better color!
I need the declutter from the vanity and work stuff!!!
Oh wow, I’m at the end of the video and I just noticed it was just posted 45 minutes ago. I don’t think I’ve ever been that early. 💞
Have you thought about getting a small display case and displaying the few products that you want to keep for nostalgia purposes?
This reminds me that I need to get rid of everything in my time will tell bag of makeup that I put in the closet for a few months to see if I missed anything. And I didn't so it all goes.
Will there still be Jammie Awards?
Do you behind the scenes secretly take a few back that you decluttered?
Another Tip: The new Colourpop lip glosses in the tube are BETTER than the Summer Fridays at a fraction of the price! You probably know that but just in case you didn't! 😘
Ill never give up Revlon super lustrous....many shades enjoyed over the years
These are my fav videos to watch
As much as I don’t love having to repurchase things more often. I feel like makeup should be sold (for less money) in smaller containers. I don’t think I’ve ever actually used up an entire product before its recommended expiration date.
I love decluttters !! 🎉
Could you do a video of all that you keep? All products in one video
At the start when you said "for now, let's go get my . . .(pause) . . .foundations!" I thought you were going to say "my . . .COFFEE!" 🤣
