I enjoyed your reaction and I'd love to see you continue. Personally I think the show really picks up at ep 4 so I'd advocate for at least getting to that point before ditching it but that's a committment and if you don't enjoy 2 and 3 then I get not continuing. The deb ball stuff was kind of a put off for me too but I ended up not minding it as much as I thought. The elements in the book are still the priority. If you do decide you like it, it's great timing since S2 is coming out July 14.
