I ordered this bracelet with polished center and brushed side links, for my Seiko Padi Turtle and it was $125 directly from Strapcode , including shipping. It was worth it. Quality is worth it. Never messed with the Seiko stock bracelet. I left that in my Seiko watch box to collect it.
Hi! Thank you for this interesting video!, today I received mine (StrapCode super O Boyer) and successfully installed on my Vostok Amphibia (I used the strap code spring-bars), and It fitted perfectly! The bracelet is very elegant and super strong! It’s worth the money! Now My Vostok looks really nice! Definitely one of my favourites watches! By the way This is my third Bracelet from Strap Code (One for my Orient Kamasu & for my Seiko King Samurai), Thanks again!
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations. Excellent choice. They make a great bracelet for the Kamasu; the end links fit the case very well. Check out my Kamasu review, it may interest you. Wear your pieces in good health. Regards.
Subscribed! Came across your review whilst waiting for the arrival of my Super O-Boyer from LIW. I like to appreciate all the little details that have gone into the design. Thanks for including the overview of your tools and the process for re-sizing the bracelet. I’ve been collecting watches for maybe ten years and I’m still using the same cheap screwdrivers, so I’m due an upgrade. Heading over to check out your review of the Kamasu now… Best wishes from Scotland 🏴
Thank you for watching Craig. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Also check out my "Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 bracelet resizing tips" video, it may interest you. Regards, #WR4K
Good video. When I put a strapcode clasp on a Deep Blue bracelet, the problem I had was that the clasp pins were custom and were too fat to fit through the Deep Blue watch links. And regular springbars (even good ones) portruded right through the large holes in the clasp. I had to find some single shoulder pins to keep that from happening. It took me a month to try to find some, and in the end it was in the UK.
Thank you for watching David. Glad you enjoyed it. Collectors also have to use thinner spring bars to fit the SKX007 bracelet to the 5KX as the holes in the lugs are smaller. I couldn't fit the end links under the tonneau case of my Amphibia unless I used the thinner Vostok spring bars. It's a shame Strapcode don't offer some different sizes of spring bars to suit different watches. Regards.
I'm on the fence for equipping both my sarb033 and 017 with this super-oboyer but once again, your video has re-assured me this seems to be of san-martin grade :D
I would recommend, having a look on Meranom's aftermarket Vostok bracelets. Identical bracelets to the automatic Komandirskies with optional end links.
Great review, John. Looks really good on that piece. Thanks for all the tips about fitting. I fitted a similar one, but made by Geko, on my blue dial Marlin, nice, but heavy! Regards
Thank you for watching Mario. Glad you enjoyed it. The blue Duro is a lovely piece. I am sure you remember it was my first review on this channel back in February last year. Jody (Just One More Watch) did a good video recently about modding one. Crystaltimes also sell a nice double domed sapphire crystal for them too. Did you know Casio have stopped using the Marlin logo on the dial in 2021? Apparently the trademark agreement to use it has now expired; so future Duro's won't use the Marlin on the dial and caseback. It is a shame as it was an iconic feature of the Duro. Wear yours in good health. Regards.
@@watchreviews4k thanks for the info, John! I’ve got all the 3 models... I’m going to check out the vid, definitely interested in upgrading the crystal! Regards
@@MF-hq9mq I highly recommend this Zacro crystal press. I have used it to remove, and fit crystals in Seiko's, and Steinhart's with no problems. You can reuse the rubber O-ring in the Duro. 100€ on a 70€ Vostok? I'm actually more happy now with the thick quick release SS mesh band for 6€ during sale from Aliexpress I put on mine. 😂 Also, are you sure about the finger under the clasp? If an Oyster-style gets too tight I just open the clasp and slide it a bit closer down to my wrist bone. If it's not at least somewhat tight it may or may not pull hair but the watch head will certainly slip around horizontally and that's a pain.
Thank you for watching shay. Congratulations. Excellent choice. It really enhances the Kamasu. (Also check out my Kamasu review). Wear yours in good health. Regards.
I won an auction (at kind of our country's "domestic Ebay") on a used but mint condition Seiko SKX007 in 2019. It came with an unused Strapcode bracelet then still called an Oyster bracelet I think, especially made for SKX models. I got a great deal on this whole package, especially knowing before bidding that the Strapcode bracelet itself cost around ~$60. I can only confirm the quality on Strapcode bracelets, really great. The clasp on your's seems like an upgrade though. Only three micro-adjust holes on mine, and the buckle isn't as refined. Overall great though.

Thank you for watching Ivan. Yes, it it has 20mm lug width. If you are using a 090 you will need to use the Vostok spring bars as the end links are a tight fit under the case. The Strapcode spring bars are too thick. Regards, #WR4K
