Pico sent me the Neo 3 Link to check out and it’s interesting! It's very similar to Meta Quest 2 in design, specs and now even in standalone games. There's also one feature not available on Quest, which by itself could be a reason to buy this headset. However, Pico is missing something huge. Let's talk about it today.
I know I'm a bit later on this but I was on vacation! Still want to share my thoughts, I mean more reviews can't be bad right?

For the same price and worse performance I don't see why anyone would choose this over the Quest 2. With lower manufacturing quality they need to be targeting $100 less than the Quest 2.
Can you do an update on the HTC focus 3? All the videos are over a year old. Has it improved at all?
It kind of reminds me of my visting the night markets in Thailand years ago and Veitnam, seeing all the popular knockoff labels of watches, clothes, movies ect.
I did buy a few items of various quality.🙄 I'd be concerned about quality control with this build!
Some good features on this, I wish they'd gone for a wider fov and proper speakers.
Pretty biased thumbnail. Quest 2 isn’t represented by the American flag. Obvious clickbait.
隐私泄露这一块,meta岂不是更离谱
Good review so far, but what also should be said: Pico is more open, you can directly install custom apps at the headset. Many Android apps works directly, for example Discord and Discord stays running in the background, so you can use it to talk to your friend over Discord while you play a VR game or even when you play others games. It makes the headset also more to an Android device. On the Quest 2 you need a developer account and sidequest to do more stuff with it, no need in the Pico.
The edge to edge clarity is also so good, that I watched my first movie inside VR and it was fun. Of course it was Ready Player One in 3D. :D
I really like my Pico, but some bugs need to be fixed to make it really good on daily use.
I am excited to see what the Pico 3 link successor is like. I hope they squeeze a little more field of view out of it.
Don`t really need more FOV. Pixel density and better display (OLED) is higher Prio.
I was a few weeks ago in Denmark and visited the "Univers science fun park". There was a vr attraction too (worth to visit if you're nearby 😊) and I had the opportunity to try the pico. It is really ightwight and well balanced too, so happy meta has some competition now 🙌😄 thanks for the review, Cas. As always very well done ❤️🐱
How well does Pico mix with secondary VR hardware like omnidirectional treadmills?
I think it should distinguish itself more from the Quest 2. Improve the resolution, or give us more IPD options. ... Something.
The Display Port CONNECTION is a HUGE improvement for multiple reasons. Not only is the visual quality asolt better because the video data doesnt need to get compressed like with the quests usb connection, but the absence of a need for compression also means that your computer doesnt need to waste resources on that, so you actually get more fps. Its a huge plus for PCVR gaming.
I love my Pico Neo 3 ever since I received it.
Preordered it thanks to Bestware and while I had lots of initial bugs, those have quickly been ironed out.
Walkabout Minigolf is quite fun but I use it mostly for my PC which works fine, 90Hz is a bit unstable and the audio drivers that active on Windows with the software really suck when not done in the correct order, so I mostly use my Logitech G435 for audio.
Eventually, despite Bytedance is also hungry for data, it is still far less than what Zuckerberg obtains ever since he created his company and purchased Oculus.
Good Review,
I wonder, you are talking about beatsaber as a quest exclusive,
but it should be able to be played with Steam VR using the link if i'm correct?
How is Steam VR running on the PICO. if you dont want to be tied down to Meta's Eco system?
HI, no one speak about it but : is it compatible with revive ?
Is it possible to play all games with an oculus PC account ?
So far no one published anything about that.
Thanks
My Vavle Index controllers are used with an HTC VIve. My controllers sometimes stop working and the icons pulsate in the Steam VR Window. Any thoughts?
Great review Cas and yes I agree any competition (including near-cloning) is a good thing. However I trust any CCP-linked company even less than Zuck
That's just nationalistic fearmongering -- the CCP can't do much with your info from China -- nor are they interested in doing anything with it other than train AI algos maybe. Meanwhile, Google/facebook/apple/ is collecting your info and selling it directly to other companies so that they can sell you more things. CIA/NSA/FBI takes your info either directly or indirectly from these companies to build a database / profile on you.
Definitely
Found the CIA sock puppet.
for a VR arcade that screw looks amazing! Users would just constantly knock the cable out! :D
the better-bandwidth and already inclided cable is a big selling point.
worse lenses causing more abberation is just shit!
Hey Cass, Am not too sure when you tested the device (I have tested it for more than 100 hours now), but the Headset doesn't crash so much (is it a PC build compatibility issue or your Quest software creating the Bugs?..did you try running the Headset without any META stuff/software in your PC?) and the (90Hz PCVR works on all apps that can support this, you can check in the SteamVR video settings, it will say its running at 90Hz) by the way there's no chromatic aberration in the headset not sure where you get this from? Colour leaking is kept to a minimum...well on my device anyway...unless you chose a different IPD? It only shows more when using the smallest IPD....maybe you can mention this next time? Can you re-test the IPD adjustments so you can inform people about this?
Before that last Link Update users had generally more problem with crashes. But since the last update, that was 4 weeks ago, I had no single crash. But I have audio problems (the audio starts to break after 30-40 minutes and recovers after 2-3 mins), they know about that problem and working on them.
I have still Oculus software installed, but I use since years the Oculus Tray Tool to shut down the Oculus service in the background, maybe that can help too.
How long do the controllers of the Pico work with the 2 needed AA batteries ? Are there tests done with AMD RX 6000 series videocard on Pico ?
I play now since a month, more or less because of hot days. I'm still on the battery that was inside the package, but one controllers shows that their battery are soon empty, while the other is still much more full, a bit strange but that could be a battery thing. Others, who have the Pico longer than me, use it without a problem with 1.2V rechargeable batteries and they last also very long.
Can you make a comparison with other PCVR headsets in a same price range?
I was going to get pico 4 but clearly its not for PCVR so neo 3 seems as a good alternative. Are there any other headsets comparable to neo 3? quality, performance, price etc
Where can I see about participating in the beta tester?
wait so it has a USB link port and a Display port?
the displayport is really nice, kind of makes me wish I bought this instead of a quest 2 (though airlink is working fine too) but I don't really get why they offer a streaming via USB option when wireless streaming and displayport are available on this headset???
I purchased my Quest-2 to be a PCVR HMD, I am mostly impressed by it for the features at the original price (not so much now with the price going up), my biggest problem with the Quest-2 is it relies on the internal battery, if you forget to charge the Quest-2, then your PCVR (over link cable) VR session will be a short one. As the world seems to be heading towards "stand alone" VR, it would be nice if they would add a feature where when using it connected to a PC over a link cable, it would bypass the battery and could be used no matter how low the battery is.
I agree, it's kind of neat to be able to use a HMD wirelessly, but I noticed that you have the keep the Quest-2's resolution at default using AirLink and I see a LOT more compression with AirLink as compared to over a Link Cable.
If the Pico Neo 3 Link still relies on it's battery to operate with the Display Port / USB3 cable connected, then I have no real use for it even though I am curious of how good it might look due to no compression when using the link cable.
I had the same problem, i bought the Kuject Design Link cable and you connect the charger on to the cable.
it keeps the Quest charged and i can play basically for ever without needing to worry about that.
it also is pretty nice in price (~30€). So maybe that could help you ^^
I'd buy this today if I could. Region locking hardware, like happens with the Steam Deck, is getting old really fast.
Je moet instellingen in pico software bij WiFi instellen op HD en 90 hertz zetten dan werkt het op 90 hertz, dus niet alleen de instellingen.in dp.
I’ll try it. Thanks!
It’s great to hear your take on the Neo 3!
❤️ this is why I do them even a bit late and knowing it may not get as much views, so thank you for watching!
the way the link cable connects seems interesting. I don't know if I'm the only one, but with the quest 2 link, the cable disconnect quite often, even if I have attached it with 2 points on the headset
do you plan to review few games or demo from the steam vr fest? I discovered Tomb explorer , a Tomb raider inspired game, it seems really promising
Yeah, this screw really helps, but it also not the most smartest way, there are surely better ways to fix the cable without screwing it to make it more easy to remove it. But it really makes a huge different in image quality.
"leave me a like.... and as a thank you, here's a picture of my cat"
Lmao
Really informative video - thank you! Quality competition is great for the VR market. What's your thinking behind referencing China before the name of the Pico Neo 3? You didn't say the American Meta Quest 2?!
Thank you for the cat photo ☺️
Good review ! Lot of similitudes between Q2 and pico.. Keep it up ChuckNorris38 approves 🤠👍🏻
Aw yesss thanks ☺️
Hi, my pico neo 3 doesn't have the second usb C port on the right side, do you know if the display cable will work in the left usb port?
no u have Chinese pico neo 3 which doesn’t have display port
U can still connect it via usb or wifi via streaming assistant iirc
It will be same compression method as quest when connected wired aka it will run via usb and not display port
So yeah basically u have quest 2 knock off with only difference is that it runs pico software and has bigger controllers lol
U can also buy virtual desktop if u changed region to global to get better pc vr experience
@@pracalt1051 Thanks!
@@aldairsax np
Is there virtual desktop support so you can split screen for 3d sbs
VD support in the works (confirmed by Guy Godin)
From Nigeria,, please how can I download games?
I don’t have china ID
i would rather pico work on improving their existing headset than launching a new headset. meta is doing great with Quest 2 despite a couple of years since its launch
“Fine you can copy my homework just don’t make it obvious”
*the homework*
Can you use OTG USB?
Yes, you can and many stuff, that also working on a Android Tablet/Smartphone, works without any problem. Only a mouse didn't work because there is no mouse cursor. I tried a PS4 DualShock over OTG USB, worked without any problem, also in Bluetooth mode.
Excited for any competition.
Sad but true
Great video but please don't advocate for exclusives. That anti-consumer game distribution strategy is only bad for the industry - instead advocate for open standards that give us port-less VR games.
If they invested in an open VR platform that could be used by other wireless headsets then games ported to the Pico 3 would be supported on all other wireless headsets that use that same platform. They could also devise an open standard for VR peripherals/controllers - allowing third party headsets to have their own platforms but target the headset peripheral standards and inherit game support from that.
In that case, you are out of luck with almost every HMD except for the Index perhaps.
At least the Pico Neo 3 allows for installing apks without the need for a developer account, so you can install the recent OpenXR builds of ALVR right away and run it on your Linux box after figuring out how you actually compile the server application for your distro.
@@MegaManNeo But even when we know we are out of luck here we shouldn't advocate it extra. ;)
And yeah, that you can simple install every Android app make the Pico a really interesting Android platform too. For example installing the Discord app and using it in the background for voicechat.
yes and no, exclusives do kind of suck for consumers but you can't really deny that Occulus/Meta has invested heavily into the development of VR titles. like a lot of games would have never been made without them. also it's really no different from what Sony Microsoft or Nintendo are doing, except they don't allow you to play Steam/PCVR games on their devices at all.
so in a way Meta is far from the worst when it comes to exclusivity.
Competition is HERE, Cas & Chary vs Virtual Reality Oasis (& Boy, aren't we, the VR users - much better for it ; )))
Pico needs RIGS MECHANIZED COMBAT LEAGUE
I will buy one. It remains to be seen how Bytedance will conduct itself with my eyes.
I'm happy for the competition and I'm not a huge fan of Meta, but I'm sure Bytedance is going to have the same or even more intrusive tracking on what you do. It's disappointing I'll say that much.
If it does not use the Oculus ecosystem, it is not in any stretch a direct competitor to the Q2. Also. a TFT display is a step back from the Q2 display. Semi competitor.
I smacked the like button as soon as I saw the cute cat 🐈
Thank you for your review and I do not buy any products in beta status. Have you ever bought a bike with 1 wheel?
I hate the business practices of both companies and others should also be concerned about how these companies further process our data.
We celebrate this Wireless HMD only because there are no alternatives in the low price segment for the mass market.
The Pico has also been on the market for a long time to fix the problems and not use the customers as lab rats in beta status.
Regardless, countless people had to tell Pico how a VR HMD should work. Then the software problems and cable problems are not a quality feature.
I hope PSVR2 & Valve puts an end to this spook.
It is not clear if it get released out of the beta in the US. And if you don't want beta products, wait until they are get out of the beta and buy it then. Not so difficult.
Instead of saying Pico is following the exact same design as Quest, I'd argue, that it's made to be familiar - there are enough differences (strap, port placement, dual front panel, camera placement) to argue it's just using familiar styling to become a competitor more easily. Once they become a viable alternative, you can expect their design language to diverge more as their brand gets more recognition.
It's tough to overtake an established product in the market or even to start to compete from nothing without offering some amazing advantages over the mainstream product. And with investments and development behind Quest 2, you can't realistically offer amazing features and become a viable competitor.
That's why the approach of building a similar headset makes a lot of sense - using the same OS, allows for essentially reusing already developed apps, using the same button layout means not much remapping is needed either. These guys have a real chance at getting in the market as the main competitor...as long as the money doesn't run out.
Great Video! thanks heaps!
Happy to hear! Thanks for watching 🙏
Wait. How can Pico be the best hybrid if the software is buggy and crashes a lot?
Thanks Cas.
Ron! 😘
I hope we could have display port support with hardwares that is similar to Quest 2.
It's a hardware issue, the "2nd usb c port" that the display port connects to isn't actually a USB c it's a special conditions! USB C doesn't have the throughput unfortunately. So the quest will Never have native PC VR.
Connection*😅
@@matthiasmeier3368 That is a design problem, I went back and use my old Rift after I broke my Quest 2. I notieced that some of the games look better on Rift. The USB is just not good enough for the PCVR with the compressed images.
@@matthiasmeier3368 The Quest 2 simply has no DP alt mode on the USB C port. It seems it is that what Pico use here, because I mean some Pico users tried to use a USB C cable with DP alt mode support on their Laptop instead of the DP cable and was successful with that.
@@yuechenshen5703 Exactly, the DP cable makes the picture in the Pico so very good, it is much closer to the Reverb G2 image quality than to the Quest 2 with Link cable, but with way better edge 2 edge clarity.
The Pico literally spoiled my HP Reverb G2 because of that. The Pico is the first headset for me where watching movies in it is fun for me. For that you need a sharp image and a very good edge 2 edge clarity. I'm so far that I would say that this is even more important then resolution. I want to look around with my eyes and not only with my head, especially when I watch a movie.
I said since years: a VR headset is good enough for me when I can watch a movie in it. That's why I came up with that. ;)
4:32 - Made my day! =)
The price looks awsome
There’s no way meta won’t go to the courts or whatever for an import-ban on this. If enough of it matches their patent? It’ll be easy for them to block it’s sale.
I"m guessing the 3D Pico Neo 3 VR is the 12 months later one.
Still this is a good video to see the progress.
No it’s pico 4 the 12 months new one
Definitely a big update and downgrade compare to pico neo 3
Downgrade being lack of display port and lack of the headphone jack
And upgrade of new design controllers color pass through and pancake lenses
@@pracalt1051 I do enjoy my headphone jack. I'll need a more comfortable setup to get use out of my DP properly. But for now I'm okay without that
I am sad about missing out on the pancakes and camera, but I think the new controller style looks durpy.
@@kairon156 from reviews I seen they are actually comfortable and have good vibration and since ring is on like the top
Chances are that u will never bop ur controllers to ur rings unlike with quest 2 or neo 3
I do like neo 3 design because of how big controllers are though
@@pracalt1051 huh, I always thought the rings got in my way when I had to cross my hands or arms during gameplay.
I guess I'm generally careful enough to not throw them at a TV or something?
I can see your point though.
@@kairon156 Well basically with pico 4 controllers u won’t have that according to reviews due to ring placement
(Also doesn’t neo 3 have the wrist strap and guardian to prevent controllers flying to the tv lol)
I have the pico and think it's fantastic I'm going to sell my hpg2 and my htc pro 2. As long as you don't buy games via pico you don't have to log in. I don't buy games from pico anyway. Only play games from steam, via dp or via wifi. Do I have to with meta.I'm not waiting for more expensive glasses, I think this is good enough with dp.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Finally Competition
This is hopefully only good
Yes definitely. Y’all make great VR content 🙌💯😎
Controllers look like one drop wonders.
The pico has way better color saturation in my opinion. Its displayport produces an image quality that the quest 2 can never produce due to hardware limitations. The pico feels way lighter on my face and the quest 2 feels way too front heavy for me. The padding on the pico is ubcomfortsble but its also better for people with glasses. The quest 2 is way better as a standalone vr headset.
The quest 2 has alot of social apps and the voice and speaker quality in party chat is amazing. The pico speakers sound tinny and cheaper.
My biggest issue with the pico is the scaling and proportion is incorrect. I feel like the floor level is too high and makes me feel shorter than what i really am and also i could see warping at corner peripheral of right lens. Because of this, it feels less immersive maybe an update could fix this. At the widest ipd the pico gives you a 98° fov where the quest makes me feel more like im looking thru a tunnel.
My conclusion is they both are great depending on what you want to use it for. For wired pcvr the pico for anything else the quest 2. However for longer sessions tho the pico for its lightweight easy on the face design. Pico should also fix their UI. The quest UI is way better and they should implement hand tracking like the quest.
Nice review thanks!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I have the pico vav from day one, now after many hours of wearing the face pad has become much more flexible. It is now the most comfortable had set I have.
my pico is by the way the least warm of all my headsets.
That headset looks COMFY
It really is.
Having the battery on the back makes it feel much lighter on the head and as someone who wears glasses, I can tell I have much less issue using these under the Pico Neo 3 compared to my Oculus Quest 1 for which I picked up extra lenses that fit my vision.
Let me tell you however that people with IPD outside of the standard range may still have issues to see things properly, that however also seems to be a software issue which is already addressed.
Something China makes is similar to its original western counter part. What an evergreen.
It is not similar, it is even better in many points.
@@blizado3675 sorry, the idea behind my words was really the question, "but is it original?". It is exact same thing, except it was made years later with more up to date components. Naturally, as most Chinese companies operates on lower margins, while coping, rather then innovating, it will be slightly less costly to make the final product, allowing them to throw in something extra. It is not going to take a significant portion of the market share, but I am glad there will be an option for people who otherwise could not afford a higher end VR or for people in China who can't just make a meta account. We need more people to get in the VR anyways :) I will be damned if I will have nobody to play Bonelabs with.
very interesting stuff, but it makes no sense to pay more for less- this is ONLY for people who cannot purchase the Quest in their region
the Quest has its own marketplace and is incredibly refined and over 50% of all WORLDWIDE VR owners are Quest users which leans more into a universal level of input and design which will make it exponentially easier for developers to move forward with more high quality titles -not to mention the caveman design to keep a screwdriver on you to tighten the connection from the charger/cable is so archaic, it just makes me think what other features are 30 years out of date?
More for less? You get the Meta Quest 2 with only a softstrap and no link cable, you need to buy that all extra. Pico comes with a thin 5m fiber optic DP cable and a good balanced strap.
You argument like you don't want competition and want a monopoly.
link is g2 not quest 2 competitor
quest 2 software stack is just way better , hand tracking, keyboard tracking cross game avatars, working AR and similar stuff
Updating the prices in Europe-
Pico 3 is around 350€ for 128 gb
Pico 4 is around 400€ for 128 gb
Quest 2 is around 499€ for 128gb
Unless you are interested on the meta quest store, Pico 3 is a no-brainer atm.
I discovered an absurd thing about vr (there is no nose!!)
I’m more interested in stand alone performance and software. I have no gaming pc or labtop.
Yeah, than the Quest 2 wins, no question. It has a much bigger app store and more features in general. It will need its time for Pico to get a bigger app store and more features.
@@blizado3675 agreed. That being said, competition can only strengthen the VR industry
You're invited to play at our park for free! We've been following you for years and would love to meet you in person!

I don’t know
Curious
YES! I'm so excited to get off Meta's platform! They sold me a defective headset for Quest 2, offered me a refund, then changed their mind, and forced me to take a replacement. I bought so many games from them, more than I'll ever have time to play, I told others to pick one up. Instant regret. They're so arrogant now, no regard for their customers. I'll probably keep a quest around for exclusives, but I'd love to put my support toward the competition. Let's go PICO!!!
I agree with your points but I don't think Bytedance is that great of a company either, they have pretty intrusive tracking probably even more intrusive then Meta, at this point it's just like choosing a lesser evil.
@@SirPibby Exactly, at this point it's a "pick your poison" kind of scenario.
@@Zman201 yea exactly I was extremely disappointed to hear Bytedance bought Pico cuz I felt that they had the biggest chance of healthy competition, but it just turned into a collecting data war.
The 35% off for beta testers doesn't necessarily mean Pico are working on a new product to be released in the next 12 months. It is just as likely to mean they aren't, making the offer a worthless promise to get free beta testers.
Let's hope this tool of the CCP does not gain traction in the US.
FFFF They need Pico in the US now lol
I’m in the discord for pico beta community and it reads like an absolute buggy mess especially via DisplayPort. I want a pico neo 3 link for DP for sim racing, but until it’s out of beta and not a buggy mess, I’m waiting patiently on the sidelines.
Yea, very much work in progress
I'm there too and what did you expected from a beta discord server? Of course you will find mainly bug reports there. And I have also a annoying audio bug, but it was clear I would buy a beta headset and I bought it late because I first wanted to see if you could trust them and so far it was good.
I don't think they will release it in beta state to the US.
@@blizado3675 I expected it to be a buggy mess, hence why I wait patiently on the sidelines, ready to press the buy it now button the moment you folks on that discord say DP is fixed and it’s amazing!
@@jamesleegte good decision then!
I want actual competition, not just a Chinese IP infringement rip off, as they do with so many American products. Also ByteDance is the worst possible alternative company, might as well by a BlackRock VR headset.
I have good bets on Pimax. Also Chinese, but truly innovating.
VR tech will help cope with the forthcoming global economic collapse. Like living in an 80s cyberpunk novel yet not as fun as imagined while reading decades ago. ☹️
At this point I don't need any other headset. The MQ3 is probably coming next year and the PSVR2 is not that far away either. Meta and PSVR are more than enough for me. And imo both Meta and Sony deserve to rule over the VR industry. Both have worked very hard and are the reason why VR is alive and growing. People can say whatever they want about Meta/FB. I couldn't care less about the data stuff. They believe in VR like no other company. We got RE4 and soon GTASA thanks to Meta. They have my full support. The only company that is missing is Nintendo. I wish they would release a VR headset. Meta, Sony and Nintendo could be the big three of the VR industry.
The surprising is that China banned quest 2, but America allow Pico to be release in American markek. Not surprise people, I think it’s time y’all wake up!
I see absolutley no reason for anybody to consider let alone buy one of these over the Quest. It is offering an almost identical product for the exact same price point offering nothing extra or new and exciting to the consumer. Even the advantage of the display port capability is moot as far as I am concered. The only reason possible I could imagine sombody would buy this thing over the already fully established, popular and widely used Quest 2, is if the customer hates Facebook as a company and refuses to give them any money just on principle.
I have one since near a month now and I can say: you are wrong. Alone the DP cable is a huge advantage in picture quality. The most Quest 2 users have no clue how much image quality they lose with this USB Link cable. Also the Pico don't need to have a developer account and sidequest, you can directly install a custom Android app over the build in webbrowser. That turns the Pico also in a not much limited Android device. For example you can install Discord and use it in the background for the voicechat while playing stuff.
And if you want to be on paar hardware side with the Quest 2, you need to buy an extra strap and a link cable for the Quest 2 and then you have a much more closed limited headset. The Pico comes with a not cheap thin lightweight fiber optic 5m DP cable which turns it into a true PCVR headset, not that compromise solution because Meta never had it in mind to make the Quest 2 PC compatible when they created it.
@@blizado3675 i get your point, and yeah there is some compromise with picture quality but I have had PCVR in the past, the Rift CV1, the Rift S and the HTC Vive. They were all fun and I still have a large library of content on the Oculus Rift store as well as a ton of content on rhe Steam library, but even though the games are much better graphic wise I don’t use those headsets anymore and the quest 2 does everything I need it to right now. I don’t even bother most of the time using the Airlink or the USBC cable to my PC because the games and apos I enjoy most work perfectly in the standard Quest 2 mode. I use the Quest 2 more than any VR headset I have ever owned. Until the Quest 3 arrives I will stick with the 2. With the Quest, my software options aren’t as limited as with the Pico at least when used natively.
I'm always torn on updates like this. I'm always happy and excited to see more companies getting involved in the VR space; however I cannot and will not trust companies who's main purpose is to sell your information. Both Meta and Byte Dance are just huge data harvesting companies that want to get you into their ecosystem. Either way, it's good to see competition in the VR space, and these are a great option from people who don't have a full gaming PC, or more money to spare.
Why do people fall for this misinformation? They don't sell your information, they sell ad slots...
I know, it’s a double edged sword. VR would also not be where we are without Meta but yeah, sigh.
@4:50.... lol... ya trash at golf.... still luv ya though
别埋汰quest2了
So the quest 2 competition is a copy of the the quest 2? 😂
It's more like a familiar design - notice there are quite a few differences. And realistically, it's the only realistic way to become a competitor to Meta. With all the money behind Quest being invested, no one can catch up with something vastly different. They first become a viable alternative and then will try to differentiate themselves.
Thats nice but iam in navy rotc in university USA and i just going to be us navy pilot after my 4 year anniversary to naval pilot training in Florida USA we have already been giving the best vr headset from the us company i be flying the f35 or the f18 hornet snd be making my statt up company ITS this UA-camr is nice but doesn't have a university degree major like me i be working with Elon musk
Great vid but.. buy something thats almost the same as what you have.. awful idea. New another story.
If you hate Meta, and all it stands for, may I offer the Chinese Government!!
Rough choice there...
Fair enough
Actually nothing is bound to TikTok, you use a western Pico account and they use also only western servers. But sure, that can change, like it does with the Oculus account.
Why are people happily celebrating this as “competition”. This is disgraceful that a Chinese company/Chinese government just blatantly rips of another companies hard work and sells it as its own.
Why do these people act as though it’s a such a wonderful thing, it’s disgusting and people should not support these criminals, support the people who make the real quest 2, I doubt the price is much different anyway.
You implied that the design of the headset was stolen from the Quest 2, but, come on, basically all VR headsets share similar designs, and the Quests were not first.
Chinese product cycles innovate faster and drives the prices down. I look forward to buying a PICO once their product line matures.
steals technology then sells u cgeap crappy version of the same thing
I'm sorry but i will never buy a product by facebook or by tiktok. Still waiting on the next valve VR headset or other Vr headset from a company other then companies like tiktok/facebook. I don't want to give my money to China who literally hunts down people escaping from North Korea then sends them back to die. And don't even get me started with Facebook. It's sad people still support companies like this. And sadly Valve practically abandoned VR, they promised 3 AAA quality VR games for index and only thing we got was half life Alyx catering to completely new VR users. I'm still waiting for real VR games to come out on steam and we only have a handful of games. I'm honestly not happy with VR right now and tired of waiting, tired of waiting for people to stop supporting the evil companies, waiting for developers to make real games on steam, waiting for enough people to adobt vr for developers to find it worth developing real games for VR, and so on. Here is to hoping things will be better in another 3 years, but i'm losing hope. I actually put my VR index in storage as I have no interest in using it anymore at this point, it's a joke. All the good games coming out are oculus exlusives and i will not support Oculus. Maybe in a few years i'll take my Index back out, but I doubt it at this point.
All vr headsets are made in China,so you support China anyways.
@@roky8147 Valve index is made in the USA. Individual parts are sourced around world, some parts may come from China, but the company and final assembly is in the US. and it's a US based company.
Pico is a poor man's oculus
The PN3L comes with 256G storage and the cable in package.
Where's that with the Q2?
Can't wait to pick up a piece of communist technology. lol
