If Betty woke up and showed Barry the door, the team might finally enjoy some driver and crew stability.

A message to all the big heads in Supercars. Shrink your heads now. Or watch the sport dissolve in front of your very own eyes..!!!!!😢😢😢.

DJR had to release Courtney after he won the drivers championship and though they were not happy with the decision they showed up the first round of the year with a massive 1 infornt of the 7 on the door which everyone seen as a poor decision back then, they never tried to stop Courtney from driving and at least we had the champion on the grid to start racing that next year.
As a Holden fan all I can say is at least they carried themselves respectly, Good on em.

Really enjoyed the honesty in is episode, something that Supercars lacks, including integrity.
I was raised on touring cars but for many years now haven't bothered with it, and this is fantastic that it has blown up in their face, because this is exactly who supercars is and people need to wake up and see how toxic the environment Really is . This is exposing them to the core, it's about time the make up, the big smiles, fancy threads and false commentary is finally Hung Out in the public eye.
    Sad but true, great show.

He did not step away for a year. He left SBR late in 2012 and drove for Techno in 2013. How stepping away for long enough to sign another deal equates to a year I am just not seeing. Looks like a few moments to me.@@stewartdevisser3818

I like Brodie and think he did a great job to get there, but surely he’s responsible for negotiating himself out of contracts he committed to.
And if Betty and Barry play this out and bench him rather than release him, that’s their business. I appreciate why it’s all crazy and interesting, but it’s just business for all parties involved. It’s bad for their business, but interesting for us. I’d be interested if Erebus is in a position to sue for breach or if they are just asking for too much money for the release. Brodies maybe not worth what’s being asked.

It's all well & good that Barry Ryan has helped out a lower tier driver. But that doesn't give Barry a free pass for how things have turned-out at Erebus. For a championship winning team to lose their champion driver and all their major car sponsors at the same time is unbelievably bad management. That should never happen. I feel it's incredibly arrogant of Barry to say everything is "All Good" in his team. We will see how good Barry's team is in this upcoming season. I believe is was more Brodie's talent than the car that won him the championship.

Principal who invested a shitload into a team and drivers then have tests in other competitions to open their options to future options, theyed be told take that option now and bugger off because if you are jetting around and doing deals your not focussed on the job you have now. See ya.

If the gradual leak of the list of increasingly dark parts to this story has any credibility, if I was that team principal, I'd be bending over backwards to do as much damage control as possible, both to save the team and avoid future legal trouble. The longer he fights this, the more chance that this stuff goes public, and that'll be proper career ending.

Speaks volumes to the state of the category. Category management have been lying to themselves now for years. The racing hasnt been that great, the cars havent been that great and the drivers are clearly gagged.
For SVG and now Scotty to come out and support BK......🤷
I don't follow the category, I just watched the replays and then it took me a hot minute to realise that Brodie wasn't on the grid.
But there is a clear issue at Erebus, as well. Another trainwreck for them.
Brodie: go to America mate. Stay the fuck away.

Pete finds it too easy to say what should be done, but it is fantasy land stuff. "I'd do anything to keep him". Sorry to say that that is either BS or has no specific meaning. He also says SC should buy out his contract. That is insanity. Where the hell does that end? Where Pete says? I look forward to a resolution, but at the end of the day, no one really knows anything yet and that's good enough reason not to give a damn. If it gets sorted t does. If it doesn't, big deal, their business to sort out.

The comment about The Giz and Mark Skaif comments,is that a telling moment , commentary team members making such comments should be looked at seriously,if you follow the pages where comments are free ,Mark Skaif often gets a grilling .
Once was a Van Gisbergen idol , destroyed by using a position via Supercars commentary/media .
One might ask ,is all this attention to something a clever way to keep the public remotely interested in the Racing ?
How many are fed up with the BS,how many are now following the other categories, following their favourite drivers , because the people factor is the most powerful thing ,real people matter ,BS just gets in the way .
Add to all of this the Net Zero thinking ,ICE cars are supposedly dead ,the future is programmed by others and the people will have no say .
All so Political and power grabbing !

Barry Ryan has dug himself a huge hole. Now it seems he's heading for the Centre of the Earth. The big one no-no for me, was for him to come out with "... mental health issues..." That's absolutely disgusting on every level. The end justifies the means. I'd be taking a civil suit out on Erebus forthwith

Peter was way too biased for a balanced podcast, at the end of the day, the parties are involved in a legal and binding contract, that has to be respected by both parties. Drivers having to sit out seasons due to contract disagreement isn’t unheard of, not nice…but it happens…Rusty, I’m afraid you didn’t balance this one too well…

Wow ! That Peter Adderton comment about this year’s championship. “Everyone’s racing for third” How demeaning to every other driver. Was everyone racing for second when Scott McLaughlin left ? I’m sorry Kostecki isn’t defending his championship and I don’t believe the rest would terribly concerned if he was on the grid. The parity issue in 2023 killed half the field’s chances. With that tweak for the last two meetings Waters, Payne, Reynolds, Randle and Mostert were on the pace. Had this been the case at the beginning of 2023 Brodie might not have won the championship. While much of what else Peter Adderton said I’d agree with but on that comment maybe that look in the mirror advice he could apply to himself. I think the 2024 championship will be exiting regardless and whoever wins should not have any “what if Brodie or Shane were here” doubt hanging over it.

A contract is a contract. If Kostecki doesn't want to drive for the team he shouldn't have signed a contract. Adderton has nothing constructive to add to this situation. He has his own agenda and seeems to think Erebus has no rights in this situation. Considering the damage Kostecki and Adderton have done to Erebus' business I can fully understand them not just letting him walk away without compensation. Adderton can solve this problem any time. All he has to do is buy out the contract from Erebus and he then he can do anything he wants with it. There seems to be plenty of toxic personalities on all sides of this dispute.

The hilarious part here? All three presenters are glossing over the obvious, in that if any of these experts took five minutes to study the behavior of a sociopath, it would immediately explain why a team owner is going out of their way to commit financial suicide...and they're laughing their ass off while he or she is destroying it. The fact that Brodie hasn't been released yet is a bit more evidence in that regard, someone's have a bit too much fun in destroying Brodie on his way out.
Seriously, do some research, sociopathy/psychopathy is the third rail of mental illness, the professional classes, and businesses are committing financial suicide around the world, and laughing their way through the destruction.
Sociopaths are very popular hires in today's employment because they have no morals whatsoever, so they're thought of as doing anything and everything to make the business win. The problem is that sociopaths destroy literally everything on their way out...and what are we seeing here? Sponsors driven off, "what, me worry?", big smiles, the #1 driver destroyed...
"We hope that Erebus gets more sponsors..."
I think that the sponsors who bailed have been spreading the word far and wide, Erebus, IMO, is done. And the parties involved will be smiling all the way to bankruptcy court.
