I don’t know where Haddin gets his misplaced confidence. He’s particularly annoying because an Australian fan, he was never that good or influential of a player, but always seems to be keen to offer some boring anecdote about his middle of the road career. Stokes is genuinely 20 times the player he ever was.

Why would i ever look at statistics of someone doing worse than me and assume I’m responsible. I’ve never beat someone in a running race and blamed myself for their poor performance. It’s an incredibly arrogant and self centred approach to think you need to “help” someone. For example, I don’t feel sympathy for fat people. They are usually the reason for their predicament. At the same time i don’t patronise them and treat them like a little snowflake and i assume that’s how they want to be treated. They don’t want to be reminded of their struggles, treat them the same.
