@@notagoat691 since you are a 3 yo, you should know that a 50 caliber gun, like a heavy machine gun or a sniper rifle, is typically used in a grounded position, either resting on a stable surface or mounted on a tripod or bipod for stability and accuracy. It's not generally intended to be lifted and fired like a handgun or rifle.

It's a common method, greatly exaggerated, but it's common to line up with your target and bring the rifle down and fire as the center of the target meets the crosshairs as you breath out, my guess is he was actually tryna get some grouping while mag dumping
@@TheoldSouth white dude has a serbu bfg50a its 23lbs the black guy has an m107 about 35lbs. Most of the weight is in the barrel so your holding it out at the end of a lever. The serbu is a MUCH "wieldier" weapon..and black boi is for sure putting on a show. But ripping 10 rounds through either is sure to make your balls ache.

Here owning a gun is a privilege and not a necessity, you can own handguns (proper ones not long pistols with strange protrusions) under certain licences but gun collecting is only done out of passion here, not out of fear of being burgalarised and murdered, which is valid and does happen regularly in America but doesn't happen here much at all, I can imagine how scared a burglar here would be if you pointed a gun at them, I don't think they'd continue their little hobby afterwards.

The gun itself is only 6-9k, but each round is 3-5 dollars. You only need to fire a couple thousand rounds before your ammo has cost more than the gun itself.

Ammo adds up quickly and will easily surpass the cost of the gun itself over the lifetime of the gun. Heck if you’re really intense it’ll surpass it very, very quickly. Ammo is the main expense for people who shoot regularly.

The recoil on a Barret with a good compensator is almost nothing. And he clearly had one here from all that dust being kicked up. A single shot of 12 gauge would be more recoil than all 5 shots here.

@@CampanellaJ I had to read that twice before I noticed the "this gun" part. Was about to give some examples where the bullets can almost cost more than some guns. But yeah, with the barret .50cal your right. Mine cost me $13,000. The gun will need to be largely replaced before I spend that much in ammo for it.

They aren't that heavy. Of course it would be hard to hold it for prolonged amounts of time but it's not bad. Also, the bmg has one of the best recoil systems in a large bore rifle to date. You feel more recoil from a 12 gauge slug on a barrel break shotgun than you do from this.

F*****'-a! Nasty. Is that the Barrett 50 cal. Incredible weapon. The secret service had to change the way they do things because of the 50 cal sniper rifle. Because it can kill from a much longer distance. Made their job much harder. It's not really intended to be used this way. But, that's okay. It was fun to watch. Kind of scary. That guy looks like a badass. You would have to be big and strong to do that. Marine sniper school's motto is, one shot, one kill. Browning never intended for the 50 caliber to be used in a rifle. It was much used in WWII for shooting down aircraft and other things. It's still a favorite machine gun with soldiers and Marines. Very high-tech Abrams tanks have one mounted on the top. They're extremely powerful. It can go right through a concrete block wall and kill men on the other side. Amazing!
well a 9mm can kill anyone if it's placed right. A weapon like that isn't very tactical if you can't aim and fire the weapon accurately at the enemy. 50 cal is supposed to be fired laying down or mounted. Not on your shoulder.
