Recently bought the oled model and I haven’t touched my ps5 in a couple weeks. Being able to replay games that I played on PS3 and Xbox 360 is amazing.
@@iiFuture I was the same. I have a Series X and a fairly decent gaming laptop. Sure, the games will run much better on those but you can't beat the pure comfort of balling up on the sofa playing them! The fact I can sit and play Cyberpunk on the toilet and not have to worry about how spotty the WiFi is 😂
not only that but also huge battery and it's not even as loud as I thought it would be. it is practically quiet most of the time you don't even hear the fan and let me tell you that the battery lasts for like 3 hours in most demanding games and up to 6 in less demanding. I play rdr2 for 3 hours or wolf among us for 6.

It's funny with this video because I was thinking of picking a few of these games but didn't because I wasn't sure on performance, now I've changed my mind.
Since buying a steam deck it has easily become my most played system. I have 1 set up purely for emulation and my OLED set up for everything else. And yeah, there are somtimes compromises to be had compared to a high end PC or a PS5 (obviously) but i find the convenience and control customisation pretty difficult to live without. I've been tempted by higher power handhelds. But having to use windows/lack of SteamOS and lack of control options (namely trackpads) just make them seem like bad deals no matter how much higher res or how much additional power they might have. Honeatly, nothing i've thrown at this thing has resulted in anything unplayable so far either. The fact it can play stuff like Ready or Not at 60 fps never stops being impressive to me.
@@horticultural261 It should now. On launch it was horrible, but performance has gotten better. Might want to start a new character or new game plus though. For some reason my save didn't run well after the updates until I did new game plus and basically reset everything (but kept my character).
I sold my Steam Deck for a Legion Go and I kinda regret it. Sure, the Legion has more raw power, but that comes at the cost of your battery. In order to really use that power for more than an hour, you'll have to be plugged in. That, and Windows is just terrible on a handheld. You might be attracted to that big screen - which, granted, is beautiful - but in order to have a good balance between performance and battery life, you'll most likely have your games running at a lower resolution, which will look even worse on that screen since it's so big. I'd say that you should go for the Legion Go only if you want detachable controllers or you really want to play Xbox Game Pass natively.
@@thalesludwig I have a Legion Go, but have a Steam Deck on the way and plan to return the legion. I agree with all of your points entirely. Bigger higher res screen > games run at lower frame rates > lower battery. Or you bump down the res, in which case the screen size makes em look worse

Could you maybe upload a video how to install Fallout London on the steam deck but with the GOG Version? Your tutorials are really good to follow and I don't have the Steam version sadly.
@@DeckWizard No I played on Ps5 before. On the Fallout London Website it said the GOG Version is the easiest to Mod it so I bought that Version. But since around 48h I tried multiple methods to install it but always something doesn't work. Ether it can't be installed because it can't find the file path or the Audio isn't working or other problems. I tried using the GOG Galaxy App via steam and the Heroric Games Launcher but both have problems
I'm really enjoying my Steam Deck and now, if a game is playable on the Deck, that's where I buy it. If it runs bad on the Deck, I'll just play it on my desktop. I thought about getting a Lenovo Go for the games that aren't playable on the Deck. I might in the future.
Theres some nuance to the legion. Windows sucks on handheld, the legions battery is very bad compared to a deck, its higher res screen is nice but most AAA games wont run well unles you drop the resolution, which then looks worse on the larger screen.

@@lechistanskiswit320 Even with the lowest graphics settings? Black Myth has the lowest requirement of 1060(6GB) which may have a chance to have 30 fps on deck I think. Otherwise I have to get an ROG Ally X to play it during my travel.

the steam deck oled has a 90hz display, maybe you own the original one, that one only goes up to 60hz. But if you do own the oled there is a way to turn it on in the steam quick bar.

Junk store is pretty good, I like to install Epic manually as a Non Steam Game most of the time when I need it 😊

60FPS is the accepted standard for fighting games, we want to be as close as possible to 60 for the best experience 😊
I'd take 40fps with high graphics Vs 60-80 FPS on low detail ... Some of these games look atrocious on low.. hence why the high fps
It's a preference, I'd probably agree but sometimes 40 dips

Check Hellblade2 or Starfield. They look like a vomit and they are unplayable.
I find it still good as its brimgs so much to the table and its why I didn't get any other handhelds as everything not about fps.
