Unfortunate that there now going to be increasing number of kids who will never know how much hype Quaresma got back in the mid-2000's. He was up there with Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney, Fabregas, Bojan etc as the "next big thing".
Fun fact: Barca had their eye on both him and Ronnie, but ultimately went with Quaresma because he was older and was the number one prospect coming out of Portugal at the time.
Imagine Barca had had the foresight to go with CR7.
We could've went on to enjoy watching them play together for years to come.

Complacency set in though it feels like, and he never really developed his game much.
Such a shame too because between him, Ronnie and Nani - we could have had the worlds most devastating international trio.
All 3 of them extremely skillful and flairy, very fast, could find the back of the net with both feet from any distance and had great passing range and link up play... would have been early 2000's Joga Bonito all over again.
