Awesome intro to the course! I already have Scott's guitar tone mastery and mixing extreme metal courses, both are amazing, including the discord community. Scott is amazing at describing what he's doing and why, I've had other courses that just aren't able to articulate this any where near as well (even though they are great mixers themselves). I'm going to grab this one too as I know there will be plenty of great tips to continue my metal mixing journey! Keep up the great work Scott!
I really hope your channel keeps getting bigger, I've done a good handful of courses and yours has easily been the most helpful and it's not even close.
@@ChernobylAudio666 I'll be downloading this in the next few days, perfect timing too, I was just thinking about going back through your other courses. Can't wait man 🤘🏻
I really liked your mixing extreme metal course, I have to watch it over and over to finally understand what’s going on, and feel like this course will touch on some of the more detailed fundamentals and can’t wait to check it out!
Thank you for doing what you do. Would have taken me years and thousands of dollars to learn what you have taught me. Just want to send a personal thank you.!
Hi Scott, I found your program through Glenn's page and this really talks to me... In all honesty, I am just starting with the hole recording aspect of anything! I pretty much just started a few days ago, would your course help me from start to finish or do I need to start elsewhere first, more basics? I'm wondering about a lot of things like loading amp plugins, IR's... I am following a few online 101's but there is soooo much information it's kinda hard of to know where to go! If this one is too advanced, can you suggest another starting point? Thanks in advance!
When I asked people which DAW they used, Reaper was the most popular response :) So I thought it wasn't a big deal for me to show the steps in Reaper for the people \m/
How hard would it be to translate the steps taken in the course to Logic Pro X? I’m proficient with recording in it but have never really messed with any mixing
Not hard... there are no "Reaper only" aspects. Can use whatever you have available because I'm discussing concepts, not just EQ trick or things like that. :)
Can you do a course next, "Learn how to mix your 1000th metal song that sucks"? :) I've never seen so many sessions sent to me as I have in the last year or two to 'mix' that are a mess and really need more 'production'. Just because the song is metal does not mean production stops when the guitars are tracked, sigh...
@@ChernobylAudio666 Sorry man, just had to vent a bit after seeing your new course's title. I read the title and tried to remember back when I was just starting and knew nothing. Things seemed much simpler and everything was new and exciting while you're constantly learning and evolving. I can't imagine the amount of headaches and time I could have saved back then if a course like yours was available.
Just took the course and it was wonderful. It is so hard to track all this information down on your own by just watching random youtube videos.
Finally something that helps me as an absolute beginner
Thanks man!
Now I can add another of your excellent courses to my collection. 🤘
You’re awesome, Scott. And your courses awesome too. Thank you for what you’re doing!

That said, you are improving. Just need to keep mixing and trying new stuff!
What drum software are you using in the course?
EZ Drummer 2 Dark Matter EZX - very similar in sound to the Death Metal EZX.
Oh fuck yeah, I'm getting this!

Any particular reason why you’re using Reaper for this course and not Cubase? Don’t get me wrong, I love and use Reaper, I’m just curious :)

Wait a little more, until the salary and I will buy this course.
Amazing! I learn so much in your videos. Keep it going it's awesome. See you in Discord.👍😎🤘

@@ChernobylAudio666 right, I just didn’t know as a beginner how hard it would be to find the corresponding tools in Logic!
Does anyone know how long the videos are in this course?
Total time is about 5 hours and 30 minutes :)
@@ChernobylAudio666 Thank you I want to get the 2 videos while on sale! appreciate the quick reply!
All of Scott courses are great! You are bringing much value with all great stuff you do! Thank you so much Scott! 😈🤘🔥🔥🔥

Stuff like that is really where getting a producer and somebody to help record things from the start would be super helpful... I feel you.

@@wastelandmetal No worries man, I totally get it. I hope this course will help people avoid many of those frustrations
