I used to live in an apartment building where a neighbor flushed wet wipes frequently.. this neighbor caused every apartment below them to flood.. shower toilet and sink all at once, wasn't pretty. Landlord wasn't thrilled about having to completely replace the floors cause sewage was coming up through it. It finally stopped, mostly, after he read this neighbor the riot act. Still had to deal with leaking bathroom ceiling cause their toilet kept overflowing, so glad I don't live there anymore

This occurs throughout the world. It's not just wipes that clog drains. Also oil / food fats (some muppets pour down used cooking oil down the sink) , excess food, excessive mud / leaves.
To give you an idea my roof gutters were overflowing. They had never been cleaned by the previous owner. The wet leaves had gone down the drainpipe and backed up. Basically the setup was from the roof, down the drainpipe, under the ground semi horizontally for about 8 metres then out the side of a bank (sloping land).
I cleaned it one day by finding the outlet pipe and digging in further and further with a small gardening shovel . The leaves / silt / etc got wetter and wetter until suddenly it let go shooting all that sludge out at high pressure through the 120 mm pipe. It was shooting out about 2.5 metres (8 feet)

It sounds like you have no idea what you are talking about.
There are TWO DIFFERENT DRAIN SYSTEMS IN THE MODERN WORLD. The drain system this article is about is the GREY WATER SYSTEM OR SANITARY DRAIN SYSTEM. NO LEAVES EVER GET INTO THIS DRAIN SYSTEM ....EVER. But it appears you have no idea about this and the fact there are two drain systems.
So you have decided to talk about the other drain system. The STORM DRAIN system. You need to EDUCATE yourself ....because you have done nothing but publish your ignorance.

@@kansasthunderman1 First off, people who use wet wipes don't use wet wipes alone. You wipe first with toilet paper as any normal person would. You only finish off with a wet wipe to get the residue that toilet paper can't remove. Meaning there is very, very minimal shit on the wipe. It doesn't leave an odor. And also, why the hell can't you throw anything with shit on it in the trash? Do you flush diapers too??

Most wet wipes look like they are made of cotton - they are white, soft, and absorbent. However, most of them are made of polyester and polypropylene. In fact, nearly all of them are pieces of nonwoven fabric which resemble cloth or cotton qualities. In other words, most baby or toilet wet wipes are made of plastic

Amazing how the thumbnail is portrayed as the subject while not being the subject.
Bath towels, jeans, rags, etc are not wet wipes, and by lumping everything together makes the point meaningless and often defeats it. If wet wipes are an actual problem show us why and how, and we can all take measures to eliminate or mitigate it. These types of things make half the people believe and the other half do the opposite, and no one benefits.

Why don't you investigate yourself ....rather than make such a comment. Why not EDUCATE yourself? Why not find out what "wipes" are made of first. You might quickly find out what the root cause is and what the potential consequences are ....which might prompt you to investigate what is happening in the oceans ......which might prompt you investigate if marine life is being affected ......which might prompt you find out how this the might have any environmental impacts on any other "issues".
Rather than expecting everyone else to do the work, why not try to be a part of the solution rather than being a part of the problem?
