We were looking at the GX460 for a “daily/overlander,” because it was easy to maintain, but this CD was incredibly easy to work with and a lot of the “unknown unknowns” were relieved with our conversation with Jay. Check us out next week when we do the comparison of oil changes between the CTC, and the CD!
What you missed is the fact that the diesel can hold 5 plus a LOT more stuff because the back isn’t sloped off like the coupe. What’s the point of an SUV if you can’t pack a lot of gear? My wife has a ‘15 diesel and it’s the best road-trip car we’ve ever owned. Great performance, lots of room, great seats, and the low-end torque for effortless passing without any heroic downshifting required. As this video states, with good maintenance our diesel has been bulletproof and averages 26.5 mpg for the last 50k miles of mixed driving. For a 5,000-lb AWD SUV, that’s pretty astounding and it handles better than any SUV I’ve ever driven by far.
@@xn7485 that’s cool to know! Very new to cayennes here but might need to consider the diesel for the next vehicle purchase, we were looking at Lexus GX’s but the cayenne is definitely a contender now.
@@xn7485 We've got a buddy with the Q7 TDI he uses to tow his RS3 and really like it as well, we were comparing it with the Touareg when we were shopping and seemed like the Touareg had better towing due to the rear axle being closer to the hitch.
I have a 2013 cayenne diesel, came from toyotas for off-road... and I have to agree with the CD owner, I absolutely love mine.

Hell yeah! We definitely prefer the diesel for us. With our extra curricular, it just is the better vehicle.
This is so good I am definitely going to go buy a Cayenne right this second
@@pandathegirl you definitely should, as they are very good.
Transfer cases are not an issue with the diesel/hybrid models as they use Toyota Aslin units 10:40

Should keep an eye out for Audi Q7 TDI and WV Toureg TDI. Both also has the same engine. I just picked one up, there's this dealer up in Geneva, WI...

While I love the Porsche Cayenne GT, just give me the SQ8 with an APR tune (which I have) and make my life simple and just as amazing speed wise.
Oh yeah! SQ8’s are (in Kawah’s opinion) the best looking one out of that platform. This I’d also tuned but they both feel and sound great.
Who is rarefishgroup?
Idk I think a wizard of some kind
Some say that he is better than CommonFishGroup
Looks too basic for the price!
Porsche price tag, you’re paying the p car tax
