I watched this video several times, and now after watching MJ’s Last Dance; Pippen was highly pissed he couldn’t carry the Chicago torch. LJ was right; Pippen is a complimentary piece. When Pipper had the reigns; he couldn’t produce. So sad!

While they do get paid a lot more now, Pippen was extremely underpaid at this time. He made a bad decision and signed a long term extension in his 4th season after the 91 championship. (back then rookie contracts were 6 years) In the 98 season he was only the 6th highest paid player on the Bulls and 122nd in the league.

This is why Pippen was one of the best figures on television. He was good at telling the truth. Barkley is most entertaining, but almost alway wrong with prediction, Kenny Smith is the best at X's and O's. Pippen is most accurate and has no filter. He should replace Shaq on NBA TNT, but he has a burned bridge with Barkley.
