Glad to see Scottie sharing the legendary stories of that bulls dynasty. I grew up in Chicago back to the Jerry Sloan playing days. Michael made that franchise a winner. Scottie is s type of friend or coulage that you can count on, help you when you re down, support you and for surely wont stab you from behind. Salute to you scottie pippen!!!!!!
This is what MJ is all about! He would never miss an important game sick or well. And Scottie Pipen is the most generous and kindest soul, despite being among the greatest remains humble over his accomplishments with MJ. They are the best NBA duo of all time. 💕💪
As Marv Albert put it, MJ was suffering from flu-like symptoms. MJ's trainer who was with him the night he ordered that pizza says it was food poisoning. IMO it was food poisoning from the pizza. If you've ever had the flu, you know you can barely stand or move at all. Either way, he was sick as hell and willed himself to help his team win!
Cherry Rose Mararac i remember that interview with the trainer, he also said it was strange that 10 delivery guys came to deliver just one pizza, and that MJ was definitely the only one to eat any of it.
Cherry Rose Mararac ...I agree with you, one-thousand percent. You can be the epitome of perfect health. However, that flu put you flat on your back, PERIOD!!!
You know, it has its draw backs. It's rougher, and that's good. And they really have to work and it's fun to watch, and a great battle. But, there's a definite skill deficit compared to today. The amount of times 4s and 5s get the ball to 15 feet without shooting is weird.
love average 22 and 12 and they say lebron had no help pippen puts up 17 pts and espn say pippen had to give him extra to compensate lol!!The way they described it woulda thought pippen had 30
Fapoolakoo kevin played very good defense in finals and rebounds and scores way more then scottie!!Also a way better floor spacer!!just saying pippen is not as great as u lebron stans make him
Fapoolakoo Jordan was the best defensive player on the floor. It's just that Jordan couldn't put as much into defense because of what he was doing on the offensive end. He still was great defensively anyway though. Unlike Harden, Carmelo and others in today's era.
Fapoolakoo the entire team played defense! Pippen doesn’t have the defensive accolades of Michael Jordan! Jordan has more steals titles, more defensive player of the year awards, more seasons with 200 steals and 100 blocks in the same season, more 100 block seasons, more 200 steals seasons and more 1st team defense selections and Jordan missed most of 2 seasons of his career 1986, 1995, then came back and played at 38-40 years old. Jordan was scoring 35 a game and leading the nba in points, steals, 15th in blocks and winning mvp and defensive player of the year awards all in the same season while Pippen was a 7 point per game rookie on the bench! If Pippen has to score as much as Jordan and close would he still have been able to play the type of defense Jordan played? In 1998 why were the bulls down after Stockton hit that 3? Because Pippen gambled trying to double Malone and left Antoine Carr open for a layup, which forced Ron Harper to leave Stockton at the 3 point line to help Pippen and Malone spotted Stockton delivered the pass then Stockton put them up. Then Jordan had to score like 8 or 6 points in 30 seconds and get a steal to save them from going to game 7 and hit the game winner. Pippen had a bad back that series for the final 3 games. He definitely wasn’t the best defensive player that series. The Jazz has no great wing scorers! You act like he was checking a prime Dominique Wilkins or Mitch Richmond. They were a execution pick and roll team. Love shoots better, rebounds better and is a better scorer than Pippen! Pippen defends better and passes better. Neither are scrubs. Lebron uses Love wrong! 6 of those dudes have career scoring averages in double figures and 3 more score 9 points or more just under 10 for their careers! Lebron uses them wrong and refuses to play defense! The offensive system Lebron runs and that Ty Lue and every coach let him run is why they losing and no defense. If those same players are playing in the Spurs or Warriors offensive systems they will look good and be efficient.
I saw it a live on tv, oh man I felt lucky because I live in Indonesia and had an opportunity to watched this historical moment.. Such a great memory..
John How is he 1-9? Lmao he's 6-0 while your daddy is 3-6. And you better not be talking about anything before the Finals because Bron MISSED the playoffs his first couple years in the league. Now go cry elsewhere 😂😂😂.
I remember watching this game as a teenager and I was I in awe of Jordan's will power to play in his condition. It was a game that is forever etched in my psyche. True greatness.
You guys make it seem like LeBron isnt one of the greatest players of all time, regardless if he's not the goat. LeBron is top 5 easy. Not sure why he has so much hate. But guys that are way more trash get respect for doing absolutely nothing lol.
Jordan was better. But he didn’t win the championships on his own. Look back to when they faced the ‘bad boy’ pistons. He realised he needed to use his team mates to win. Pippen was pivotal in this. I’m not taking anything away from MJ. He was the GOAT no doubt.
@@brucescott4261 obviously Jordan was better and the goat. Rodman was arguably 1996 finals MVP that's how good he was. By 98 I think Rodman came off the bench
I can't wait to watch it. I just watched the "double nickel", "game 6", and finishing up "the shrug" game. So many iconic games. This one is definitely next.
This is the true meaning of brotherhood in court. So much respect from each other than no one can do. They shared the same greatness and can rely on each other. No one ever has done this, not kobe & shaq, not lebron & dwane, not lebron & kyrie, not kevin & russell, not kevin & steph. all of them separate and didn't want to share the greatness.
Ty Nao how is he the goat when others have more points, assists, rebounds, and rings? Some have 7 or 11 rings. When KD Melo LeBron Curry Klay retire they'll all have more points than Jordan. I say that cause the goal of basketball is to put the ball in the hoop the most. People said Jordan is better than Kareem or Bill because he was a better player. For that same reason, LeBron is better than Jordan. Try to argue that.
Greatest duo of all time. Scottie and Michael were there for all 6. One couldn’t have done it without the other, that’s what makes this special, I’m so lucky I got to live my teenage years in Chicago during this great time and will cherish them forever. Since the team disbanded in 1998 the NBA to me has not been the same. Love u Scottie.
I had a severe flu on the day of our first regular season high school game. I was very sick, but I was the captain of the team and was very excited about this start of the season game. I felt like shit during warm ups and first few minutes, couldn’t really move. But trust me when the game got going and my adrenaline was flowing, I didn’t feel sick anymore, I played well and we won. In the end, when your body enters the fight or flight mode, the adrenaline flowing, you don’t feel sick anymore, you turn to your normal self. I actually felt better after the game, the exercise must’ve boosted my immune system too.
"...he had always been our closer. I knew down the stretch I was gonna need some of his Jordaness..." This is the perfect testament to Mike greatness. Sick or whatnot, Pip knew the team was gonna rely on Mike to close the game. Pip did what he needed to do knowing that by the end of the game, a bedridden Mike would do his job.
So much respect for the guy on that panel when asked to weigh in on the question flu or food poisoning right after Pippen just pausing and refusing to conjecture, saying "the guy who just spoke was right there", what are you asking me for, what do I know? That's the best response ever on a panel. Ver honest and lucid.
Back then Dayquil had Ephedrine in it. I once was extremely sick, yet had to drive from Boston to Chicago. Chugged half the bottle, & was SCREAMING the entire And Justice For All album, at 95 mph. Jordan would have actually become Super Man with that half bottle of 90s Dayquil!

When the greatest defensive player ever casually says “He carried me for the last 11 seasons” you know the player he’s talking about is something else 🐐
He's not the best defensive player ever... It's Bill Russell or Dikember Mutombo, then Hakeen Olojuwon, Gary Payton, Wilt Chamberlain, Ben Wallave, Rodman, Jordan, Alonson Morning... I still love Scottie Pippen, he's a lower version of MJ two way playing style. But taller, humbler, he can adapt... He was one of the kind in many ways.
@@arielgarcia2642 really? dude won 6 titles in the most defensive era ever. The 90s. Team scoring was lower than ever. The era where Bill Russell dominated was the least defensive era, thats why teams were scoring 110- 118ppg Without a 3 point line, and people just camped in the lane due to no 3 second rule. Bill was a great defender of course but the Celtics success came more so the lack of competition and also how great his team was. They had 6 HOF players AND coached by Red Auerbach, they were stacked. The other players you mentioned like Payton and Mourning got smacked by the Bulls repeatedly. Maybe Pippen isnt the goat defender but he has a better case than some of the guys you mentioned.

Yeah, but that's SUPER uncommon. Not saying it's impossible, but you sure it was the flu?
I could listen to that beautiful baritone voice all day long. It’s always great to get Scottie’s take on what went down during that epic time period.
Scotty is so humble every1 needs a friend like him
Scottie is s type of friend or coulage that you can count on, help you when you re down, support you and for surely wont stab you from behind. Salute to you scottie pippen!!!!!!
Michael always said there's no Michael Jordan without Scottie pippen you can tell how much he respected him
True! When Michael was taking about his all time starting five, he picked Scottie as one of his team along with him...
Pippen has such a soothing voice
I thought the same thing
MJ the GOAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!STOP THE COMPARISONS!!!!!!
Nah Bron
@@FlawlessJose bron, the self proclaimed goat always chasing for great teamate and great team...
Man.. Scottie is so touched
he seems such a good person
This is what MJ is all about! He would never miss an important game sick or well. And Scottie Pipen is the most generous and kindest soul, despite being among the greatest remains humble over his accomplishments with MJ. They are the best NBA duo of all time. 💕💪
wow. scottie is so humble and kind. yet he is one of the best players ever. a true legend.
That's why he's the GOATTTTTTTTTT
Cherry Rose Mararac ...I agree with you, one-thousand percent. You can be the epitome of perfect health. However, that flu put you flat on your back, PERIOD!!!
You believe anything??? Smh the man had a hangover he went to vegas was up all night then caught that flight BACK to Utah around 5 in the morning!!!
Food poisoning is the absolute WORST.. if MJ did have this, this is even more of an incredible story.
This made me smile!
I miss this NBA!❤️
You know, it has its draw backs.
It's rougher, and that's good. And they really have to work and it's fun to watch, and a great battle.
But, there's a definite skill deficit compared to today. The amount of times 4s and 5s get the ball to 15 feet without shooting is weird.
I was a kid but I will remember this game for the rest of my life... I have never seen the will to win more than this game from any other player
Jordan the true Goat
Steven Kelley lebron is the true goat
@Bryan Lawrenson you're an idiot
@@hectorrayray3371 you're an idiot
@Bryan Lawrenson Wilt Chamberlain played against a bunch of white plumbers
Nah Bron
love average 22 and 12 and they say lebron had no help pippen puts up 17 pts and espn say pippen had to give him extra to compensate lol!!The way they described it woulda thought pippen had 30
Riot Or diet pippen was also the best defensive player on the team, but lets just pretend kevin plays lockdown d
Fapoolakoo
kevin played very good defense in finals and rebounds and scores way more then scottie!!Also a way better floor spacer!!just saying pippen is not as great as u lebron stans make him
Fapoolakoo Jordan was the best defensive player on the floor.
Riot Or diet you’re talking like k love is better than pippen smh
Scottie thank you for such a heartfelt story. I really appreciate your honesty... beam me up Scottie!
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
I saw it a live on tv, oh man I felt lucky because I live in Indonesia and had an opportunity to watched this historical moment..
Such a great memory..
Scottie is a straight up awesome dude. He's your friend who can never tell a lie!
Pippen is the real team player and had so great career, down to earth dude in this superhero business
Pippen: MJ practically carried me for 11 years.. (an argument Bronsexuals can no longer use is the "Pippen argument") bye
exactly my thoughts
LeBron could use Scottie in the Finals.
It's called humility. Something Jordan is lacking . Especially being 1-9
bronsexual term used = bronsexual spotted
John How is he 1-9? Lmao he's 6-0 while your daddy is 3-6.
And you better not be talking about anything before the Finals because Bron MISSED the playoffs his first couple years in the league. Now go cry elsewhere 😂😂😂.
Remarkable, unforgettable, spetacular... there's no words that can describe how i felt seeing this game back at the time, simply amazing.
Flue or not he carried that game and was clutch when it mattered. Greatest to ever step on the Court.
Michael, Scottie and Dennis. The best years ever for basketball. Haven't watched since they retired ❣❣❣❣❣
Flu, hangover (probably more impressive) food poisoning, it didn't matter. The one and only 🐐
Majin Mexican Fax
Majin Mexican yeah LBJ
Hector Rayray yeah 6-0
Antonio Holley 0-9
Hector Rayray k
Michael a true dedicated player and Scottie a true friend and teammate.
"He carried me for 11 seasons"!! So humble dude!!
I remember watching this game as a teenager and I was I in awe of Jordan's will power to play in his condition. It was a game that is forever etched in my psyche. True greatness.
Wish I had a friend like Pippen but In this word you can’t trust anybody 🙏🏽Bless this word
I had plenty of flu games at work when i was younger and went to work right after the club drunk those flu games i miss them
MJ the man the myth the legend. No one will ever reach what he brought to the game of basketball.
Such a change in tune from Scottie today
Yeah idk what's wrong with him
MJ is the real king!!! Lebron would left for cramps cause he has a menstrual cycle or put a cast on
CinemaCraze 801 🤣🤣😂😂😂 y’all going in!😂😂😂
sorry bro MJ isn't the king all the bronsexuals can claim that false title. MJ simply is the "BLACK JESUS"
Rosalina Pua that’s true!!
thaeem bruh your savage af. lol
You guys make it seem like LeBron isnt one of the greatest players of all time, regardless if he's not the goat. LeBron is top 5 easy. Not sure why he has so much hate. But guys that are way more trash get respect for doing absolutely nothing lol.
i truly miss watching michael play - thank god i was old enough to enjoy it all - great memories that i will remember forever
Lebron and the Bronsexuals LEARN FROM THIS, ZERO EXCUSES. MJ IS THE GOAT
D09 didn’t LeBron play while being sick for a game or two this season?
BlueComet1991 ye
You know I would agree with you but the way put it just makes me want to punch you in the face
Bronsexuals
Lebrotards
one time I had the flu very badly but I had to go stop & shop and I did. so I know how he feels man. he the GOAT
Did Jordan come to the post-game interview in a night gown, thermometer hanging out his mouth, holding some cough syrup?
bwink23 🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
aye bwink lmaoo!!!!! good one
bwink23 lmfao
Good one mate!
bwink23 ohhh you cheeky one, i see what you did there 😂😉
"Well he carried me for 11 seasons"-Scottie pippen. Thanks Scottie. At least you know
He's being humble. Bulls don't get 6 titles without Pippen no way
TheFadedSpade jordan was better tho
Jordan was better. But he didn’t win the championships on his own. Look back to when they faced the ‘bad boy’ pistons. He realised he needed to use his team mates to win. Pippen was pivotal in this. I’m not taking anything away from MJ. He was the GOAT no doubt.
@@TheFadedSpade35 ...The second three-peat was about Dennis Rodman, and finally confirmed it.
@@brucescott4261 obviously Jordan was better and the goat. Rodman was arguably 1996 finals MVP that's how good he was. By 98 I think Rodman came off the bench
I saw that game on TV. Unbelievable performance by MJ.
JR henny game was better. Dude was so locked in he even forgot the score
"The Henny Game" lmao
Tawseef A lmaooooo

Underrated asf
Pippen is such a legend. Just love his mentality.
Dudes relax MJ is the GOAT, just leave the millennial’s praise Lebron and his broken arm
Little do they know
TheOtherGuy021 goat?? your delusional
Hector Rayray the only delusional ones are bronsexuals
TheOtherGuy021 it's crazy that there's (thank god) video evidence of these great MJ moments and people STILL debate!
Hector Rayray dude lebron will never be the goat he’s a sore loser n he picks his teams 🤷♂️
One couldn't of done it without the other. Exactly y King James is the GOAT. LeBron won it playin along side of wannabes.
Jordan is the G.O.A.T🐑
I love Scottie
Such a gentle soul off the court❤
That's how a real champion wins
I watched this game live I was 12 years old and nervous I believe bulls were down 18 in first half!! MJ🐐🐐🐐
One of the greatest nba finals game of all-time #classic #GOAT!!!!!!
I knew down the stretch I was gonna need some of his Jordaness..."
This is the perfect testament to Mike greatness. Sick or whatnot, Pip knew the team was gonna rely on Mike to close the game. Pip did what he needed to do knowing that by the end of the game, a bedridden Mike would do his job.
“Me and Michael we had a special bond” HAD is now definitely the appropriate word.
Who cares that Jordan played sick on one specific game? JR plays drunk and high every night even on the most important week of the season.
John Santos lmfao
Buaaaaahahahahahahahahahaha
bro that was a key game in the series utah was no joke
John Santos That’s why JR is so inconsistent. Some days we see JR swish other days it’s just regular old JR Smith smh
Dead.
🐐 know how to win unlike somebody that I know
Back then Dayquil had Ephedrine in it. I once was extremely sick, yet had to drive from Boston to Chicago. Chugged half the bottle, & was SCREAMING the entire And Justice For All album, at 95 mph. Jordan would have actually become Super Man with that half bottle of 90s Dayquil!
Damn I hate to be one of those old "those were the days!" guys but, those really were the days! #23 and #33 best duo in basketball history.
Love Ya Scottie! So humble even today.
Lebron would have called in sick.
Duncan MacDonald he never missed a play-off game lmao your argument is wack and a lie
Facts lol
Duncan MacDonald KD would Probably Play and Be MVP even with a flu
Duncan MacDonald he never missed a game lmao, fuck outta here
Dude would be at the post game presser with the IV in his arm saying he was sick all series.
when i was in sports i always said i could play through an injury but if i was sick then there's no way. so much respect to this savage of an athlete good god
“Some of the guys did( jordan wont play)...but not me!” Scottie knew his teammates very well, let alone the best of them all....
So humble love hearing Scotty
Lebron: "My haynd wuz pritty much broken fa tree games. Giv me yo sympathies"
Monk Bop 🤣🤣🤣🤣”give me yo sympathies “😂😂😂😂
Flu and fractured hand are 2 different things
Dwayne Williams yeah one injured his hand on purpose
Monk Bop 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
Dwayne Williams wasn’t fractured just bruised
most underrated player ever, plus a great person and loyal. they don't raise em this way anymore.
Drunk or Flu don’t matter he closed it out simple
Lil Dagga he had a Hangover and with his teammates he can win No matter what
IAM FROM THE NETHERLANDS his teammate rodman that went 1-1 for 2 points and 7 rebounds or pip who went 5-17...that's the big 3 people refer to as making of the superteam right? As he said doesn't matter he closed it out.
IAM FROM THE NETHERLANDS if you're saying they are a super team due to them knowing how to work as a team, communicated on defense and had great success then yes but if you are saying because of their big 3 then no. Them working as a team allowed role players to look better than they really were because they were actually allowed to play their role. Ex: kukoc, kerr
IAM FROM THE NETHERLANDS but you didn't answer the question, in that specific game would he have been able to win no matter what because of his teammates? Or did he do what was needed to close it out?
Bosh or Tony is wash? Lol please Bosh is an 11X all-star and future first ballot hall of fame. Love over Rodman as well
Best Duo Ever. Hands down. Offense and Defense. And overall game.
RACHEL I been asking u out for ever.. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
People say he was hungover ok that’s even more impressive 😂💯
What a history Scottie and Mike have, huh? Who wouldn't want that! Whoooo.
The best duo..
crazy he played with that food poisoning. GOAT
We all love what you did for him scotty we love you and thank you
jordan's on another level
