    Great advice. I dryfire while I'm working out in my basement. I taped a small target on the wall and do a dryfire set after a circuit of lifting and cardio to keep the blood flowing. This way, I'm dryfire practicing everyday, improving accuracy and physical conditioning.

      Now that’s an interesting way to dry fire. Doing it while the blood is pumping is a pretty good idea to be honest. I go to a public gym so I don’t think I’d get away with that haha

      It's really helped me. The gym I was a member of closed in December. Now I use improvised weights, body weight exercises, and jump rope like a boxer. @@ConcreteCowboyx

    Solid advice, especially filming your drills and sticking with one gun. People film their workouts or sports games to review for any deficiencies or errors made, and shooting is no different. Once you've found a reliable pistol that feels good in your hands while you're shooting it, resist the urge to switch over to whatever hyped new pistol everyone's pushing on IG or whatever.

    Great topic and tips, brother! Great to see another realistic channel on here that isn't all tacticool, bro-ed up nonsense. We need more channels that show that responsible gun owners are out here doing things safe and right. I'm looking forward to your next upload. You just earned another sub!

    I've heard it's good to practice knowing what's beyond your target even when dry firing (within reason). Like practicing to not shoot at shared wall with a neighbor. That way you're always training your brain to be aware of sketchy shots. Anyways, awesome vid.

    Totally agree man! I treat it like working out. You wouldn't (often) just walk into a gym with no game plan. I suppose you could for funsies but you usually have a specific workout you want to get done (legs, push, pull, etc.) so going to the range with something specific you want to improve is huge. I haven't competed yet but I think it would be a blast.
    Separately, I had a genuine question: why do you press out from a draw with the "bowling" technique instead of more in a straight 45 deg line? Is that just to help you pick up the dot? Not trying to sound condescending, just curious. I tried to train that out of my draws initially because it was slowing me down, and I needed to get my muzzle target-oriented quicker. Would love to hear your thoughts. Great video man!

    • @ConcreteCowboyx
      @ConcreteCowboyx  6 місяців тому +1

      Exactly man! And to answer you’re second question, I’m still learning. I’m not a pro or high level shooter. I’m still learning how to be more efficient with the draw. Haha I’m just a normal guy. And I find that pushing out a tad bit really helps align the dot with my eyes. From my experience anyway

    • @defencivsolutions
      @defencivsolutions 6 місяців тому

      @@ConcreteCowboyx Oh I hear you man! I had a really tough time learning to pick up the dot, not trying to sound like my way is better at all because I'm still learning too. We're all just a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude 😂
