Consider a centre mount speedo and smooth the rest of the dash except for necessary switches...my humblest suggestion

My Mother has a Dauphine, when I was 4 years old, in Brazil! The car was full of rust. One Day The floor of the car fall on The ground, that was The end of a Brazilian Dauphine.
