Hi Dave, thank you for this super cool trick. I have a question which is irrelevant to this video. When I create a stair (S71/74/Straight stair extension), it does not creates an assembly of whole stair. Because of this I dont get a complete stair assembly drawing. I need your help in this please. Thank you!!
Two things to check. On the 'Stair Setup' tab, make sure the 'Create assembly' option is set to All. Next, click the Welds button at the top of the dialog box and make sure all the weld information is filled out (size, type) and also that they are not Field welds.
Hi Dave ! I manually hided bolts in a drawing by unchecking on hole and axis in bolt property dialog box. Is there any way to turn on the bolt visibility in that drawing ? Thanks !
Hello, I'm going crazy to find if there is a way to filter all the objects (steel beams in my case) that are at a certail elevation, for example at EL. +20200(TOS)...have you idea the right attribute to inquire with the "TEMPLATE" filter? Tnx!
Hi Dave--- I am learning Tekla structures with your UA-cam videos and is helping me a lot. I have a question about a situation I came across. I modeled a 1042 base plate component and exploded it so I could position the anchors to a specified location and make a 45 degree cut on the plate. Anyway, I did that and worked pretty good! But, when I created the anchor bolt GA drawing, the rods are not shown on it. I have spent many hours trying come up with a solution to this but I NEED HELP FROM SOMEBODY LIKE YOU! The anchor that are shown on the drawing are the ones that I did not explode. Also, I get a text message stating that no correct entities are on the drawing. it does create a a drawing but an empty one. Thanks Dave.
Anchor bolt plans have some specific rules that are checked in order to work properly. Make sure the column is the main part, not the base plate. Make sure the column itself crosses the view plane you are using to make the view. Also, it helps sometimes to turn the base plate back into a Custom Component (no need to add intelligence to it) so that Tekla can create a proper mark on it.
@@TrimbleTeklaDave Hi can you make video on anchor bolt plan creation when column are in different elevation(eg.-1'-8" ,-5-0"& +2'-0"). This will helpful 👍👍👍
Hi, I hope somebody from Tekla devs see this. When creating a construction line with a two circles intersecting each other. You can’t pick the intersection of the two circles which is a pain when you are working on a complicated geometry. This is in Tekla 2018 which is oddly working in a 10 years old version of Tekla. Ps: It is also not working on any object intersecting with the circle. There is a workaround when you have a straight line intersecting with a circle by using the point tool but none with a two circles.
I recommend you upgrade to at least Tekla 2019. Construction objects went through an update/overhaul and you should have no trouble snapping to intersecting circles in newer versions: teklastructures.support.tekla.com/2019/en/rel_2019_new_construction_objects

Try Template > TOP_LEVEL > Equals > value (you can use the 'select from model' to fill in and format the value correctly).
@@TrimbleTeklaDave It works...you ara a genius! Thank you so much 👍
What to do if date is not shown when inquire a part? That advance options are kept as in this video.
Date should be applied when the model is saved.
@@TrimbleTeklaDave kindly let me know how to do that.
Help us Inquiry object bottom side showing history(more) but where is an history file only inquire part . how to visible on more.
