I just got my copy of Ghost of the Badlands in the mail and BOY HOWDY are plot questions swimming in my mind! I can't wait to read more.
I was contacted via text about a poll. Looked it up, it was a legit company. So i filled it out.
After that i got 1 every day for the next 10 days.
They were very interesting. It asked my opinion on possible future state legislation for my state(colorado).
They would pose the same question about the same legislation but it was worded differently.
If i responded with an unfavorable opinion on the legislation, they would them posit a bunch of reasons why the legislation is good.
Then it ask if those facts changed my opinion. And then they would ask about the initial legislation again, starting with the phrase "Now that youve been better informed about this legislation...".
This format went on over the course of 6 to 8 different possible bills.

The Canadian and American economies are heavily interdependent and it's all underpinned by multiple treaties establishing cross-border cooperation on just about everything you can think of. On Mrs. Noem, she has a bit of a history with the native tribes. I spoke to them, as I work with several, and it boils down to a series of broken promises between them and her. The major one, was during the lockdowns.
She and the tribes hashed out a deal; she would be allowed to use their lands to move supplies, and the tribes would receive additional support from her end. So stuff went through their lands, and she sent them body bags. One interesting message for the tribes who are used to the diseased blankets approach. That is when she was basically banned from traveling over a fifth of South Dakota.
She escalated things by calling the tribes drug dens and the leaders drug lords. I won't comment on this, as I don't know too much about this other than the natives here loath it. In California, however, I did meet tribal druggies, and they proceeded to solicit me for sex. So, mix bag, but considering prior history, yeah she isn't looking too good.
Yeah, Mrs. Scandal Free is anything but. Just look up what happen with the state prosecutor's hit and run situation. The only politicians that can get away with that are the Clintons and the Kennedys.

Bang on about election polls. I’ve been an eligible voter for about 2.5 decades. I’ve participated in nearly every election I’ve been able to vote in. I get robo texts and robo calls from political campaigns regularly, and I’ve NEVER been asked to participate in a poll. Not sure if it’s a target demographic issue or something similar.

As of May 7, 2024, the Canadian government is not imposing a fine on Canadians who want to leave the country. However, there are some tax obligations that departing Canadians need to consider, including:, they most certainly like to but currently this is not a thing (yet).

My understanding of what "deconstruction" is is realizing "hey, this stuff doesn't make a whole lot of sense" over time and peeling that away as you uncover it. I can relate to that, having once been a socialist and realizing it just can't work.
Deconstruction just means taking something apart to see how it works. It is SUPPOSED to be done so you can identify flaws, fix them, then RECONSTRUCT the thing into an improved form. The problem is that it has just become an excuse to break things with no intention of doing anything else.
People spout "deconstruction" when all they're doing is complaining that something isn't perfect and advocating for its removal with no thought given to what is going to replace it. We've "deconstructed" western culture by complaining about it and letting it get replaced by inferior foreign cultures, we've "deconstructed" religion by complaining about it and letting it get replaced by the worship of wealth, celebrities, and the state. We've "deconstructed" gender by complaining about it and letting catastrophic psychological problems take its place.
Basically, leftists wheel out the "deconstruction" excuse when they want a socially-acceptable excuse to destroy things they don't like, mainly anything restricting their degenerate whims.

33:27 OK after 52 years of life and about 56 years of following politics I can tell you that indeed this did happen before. 2004 the Republicans planned the convention too late to make the cut off and the state I believe voted for an exception.
From what I understand, Democrats refused to vote for the bill because it had added some provisions about guaranteeing noncitizens could not donate to campaign.
Also, apparently the DNC could just have a board meeting and offer up a certification of him being the candidate, just for that state, which would get him on the ballot without an issue. The only problem being if there was actually a surprise at the convention.

Two general types of polls are conducted by politicians. Media narrative polls exist to shape public discourse and either push polls, such as push polls like Razor was talking about or put a thumb on the scale for weighting certain population demographics. They other is as accurate as possible for internal campaign use only, as effective information gathering can be critical to actually winning. You also need to know who is and isn't going to vote for various reasons...

What about a roast of Nirvana? I like them fine but I find them overrated, more so than The Beatles because at least The Beatles are half the reason why a lot of other great bands, rock and metal, exist today and I think Black Sabbath is one of them. And I don't like how Kurt Cobain is critical of Long guitar solos. I'll take Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains and Mike Mccreedy, of Pearl Jam over Kurt Cobain( yes i'm aware your likely dislike of those two bands as well as Nirvana but at least those guitarists have some skill on the guitar.)
Also would like to hear your thoughts on Chris Cornell and Mabye ACDC. I know you are not a fan of Soundgarden but you don't seem to be critical of him.
